I did yoga before i moved and was always so relaxed afterward. I felt like i worked, but the breathing and calmness wa srefreshing. i miss it. I hope to join the gym next week and see what kind of classes they have. Have a wonderful day!!:)

Long time no see and I AM SORRY!!!!!!!:hug2: I try to remeber regular people that I MUST say hi and check on and you are one of them and I swear I get so lost in diaryworld. So how did you like transformers I liked it just one LONNNG movie,we rented it for my kids yesterday.Did ya see gameplan yet with THE ROCK in it???It is 1 cuite azz movie.Looks like your doing great with menue even adding some yummmmy protien in.Have a grrrr8 day Tammy

KIM- I love the veggies too! YUMMMM.

Michelle- If you can't go to the gym, go to the store and spend $10 to get a yoga DVD. That way you can do it at home! i like it that way because I can calm down every time I get stressed out.

Tammy- I really liked Transformers! Did your kids? I haven't seen GamePlan... I hope to though. I will wait until it comes out on DVD. (I think its still in theaters right?)


So I had a steak burrito for dinner. YUMMM! and with so many delicious veggies! And then I dragged my boyfriend to do some yoga with me. I only have 1 dvd right now, and its only 30 minutes long. I LOVE IT. I like being all stretched and flexible. But it made him sore. lol. So YAY for me doing an extra yoga session! I'm going to relax for a little while and then head off to bed.
 
Hi Brandy,

Sounds like you had a great birthday and are doing very well despite being really busy. I have a yoga tape that I never use, but plan to once I lose a little more weight. I hope I like it as much as you do.:) Just out of curiosity, what is it about yoga that you like better than pilates? I have no experience with either, so I wonder.
 
I Like Yoga better than pilates because I don't think Pilates is relaxing at all- and yoga is. I need a de-stresser with all that goes on in my life. I also like that yoga stretches me out, and leaves me feeling lean. Pilates is great too... it works your "POWER HOUSE" which is the muscle below your belly button. (i don't know what its really called) While working everything else too. But yoga I know really helps my body, but I don't feel as tired afterwards. (I don't like feeling tired when I have to go to work that night.)

But they are both great. Yoga makes me very motivated to have a good day in all aspects.

Am I just repeating myself? lol.

I try to do yoga every day, and pilates at least every other day.
 
I am just dropping in to say have a great day! i am going to try to sign up for the gym next week hopefully. This was the kids fall break so no gym for me!!:rolleyes:

I haven't been on here in a few days. SORRY. Its been so hectic. Working 2 jobs and going to school takes up a lot of time.

Dan and I are going to start our biggest loser for ourselves. We will weigh in once a week. We'll talk more about it.

I haven't had a chance to stop by to check this week's challenge in the halloween challenge... I hope I didn't mess up anything. I have been eating healthier, and a lot less. I'm in a huge salad phase. Looking through my diary... I've been through a lot of food trends. Quesadilla's, grilled cheese, and now salads. I guess this is a good thing!

Tomorrow I have work really early in the morning so I'm not sure what I am going to have for breakfast. Probably a fruit. I am going to buy sugar snap peas to have for snacks, and anything else I can find that will be good for me while being at a reasonable price.

I won $10 on a scratch ticket today! its a minimal amount...but I never win those! I will go to Kohl's and get 2 new tank tops with the money. (they are on sale for $5!)

So I will be happy shopping tomorrow for healthy stuff!

Does anyone know what happened last week on biggest loser? did one of the girl's mom die? I just saw a clip that said she "lost her mom". I NEED an EXPLANATION. Hollie I think was the girl.

Well. I feel random right now. lol. This has no organization. Tomorrow morning I will check everyone's diary! promise. I need to go get a good night sleep.

I think I saw last week's BL, and I don't remember anything about anyone's mother dying. But I could've missed it..lol.

Don't worry about the HC. Have you checked out the bonus for this week? You have to post a pic of you in a Halloween costume--or a costume you'd like to wear. But you don't get as many pts if you aren't in the costume. Plus you get bonus pts for updating every week. If you didn't update yet, it's not too late to do it.:)

I can't imagine how you juggle school and 2 jobs. I struggled with college and one job...lol.
 
Brandy I love that you are in a salad phase!! Now all you have to do is make that permanent - portion control - balance - and lots of veges - they barely need balancing - with their low calories, high fibre and all the yummy crunching they provide are the magic ingredient for weight loss. Go veges!!

Also the yoga / pilates thing sounds great. I was really interested to hear about the differences you notice. My "powerhouse" could sure do with some attention...

Life has been really hectic!

TODAY'S food:

Bagel for breakfast with cream cheese (375 cals) and a bottle of water.
Lunch: LOTS of different veggies. I had some ratatouille, cauliflower with a mornay sauce that was excellent, some carrots cooked with cumin and orange juice, and... i think that was pretty much it. (I made them in culinary class)

Dinner: I will bring something for dinner to work with me. (I have to work 5:30 to 9:30)

I'm down to 197! Thats not where I wanted to be at the end of my halloween challenge. BUT thats ok. I hope to make my christmas challenge work better.

I still haven't gotten a chance to stop by diaries. SORRY GUYS!

I can't read through your past pages right now cause I've gotta run around and get my booty in gear to be out my door by 6.30 (yeah, I procrastinate... baaaaad), but I wanted to say hi and atleast post something to you so you don't think that I forgot ya on my rounds. Hang in there girl! I remember my college days when I was super busy working and studying--and worrying about $$ all the time. But you'll get through it--just take it one day at a time. :hug2::hug2:

I'll bet you make some super yummy things at school.

Planning ahead is a wonderful thing. Wish I did more of it myself. :)
 
Considering how well on track your weight loss behaviours are, 197 is terrific! You are getting the patterns and habits you need and they will carry you to where you want to be if you keep them going. A smaller loss based on healthy habits that you can repeat over and over until you get to your goal is vastly better than a bigger loss that you can't sustain and which leads to yo-yo-ing up to an overall increase.

Congratulations. :D
 
UGH!!!!!!!

I feel awful. I haven't been on here a lot dispite the promises I made to myself to make time for it. I"M SOO SORRY!

I have work today at 4:30. So I still have about 3.5 hours until I have to leave. BUT there is so much I have to do. ICKKY. I screwed up the halloween challenge and couldn't figure out how to post that halloween picture. I didn't know how to begin with, and then I couldn't get on this forum for the next day and a half.

Food for today:

Breakfast: 1 bagel with cheese and lettuce on it.
Lunch: A salad of some sort.
Dinner: JEEZ. I just don't know. My head is so busy right now.

I'm really sorry guys. I really am trying to be on here a lot more. But... I really am eating healthier. So all is well.

Tomorrow night I will make time to be on here while Danny is at work.
 
Well.. I'm back so soon. lol

Even though I already posted my breakfast food...I have the rest of the day planned. IT isn't very balanced. But there is barely any food in the house. I chose what I could. And here it is:

Breakfast: a bacon and cheese flavored bagel (375), 1 slice of cheese (80) and a little lettuce.

Lunch: salad with croutons and ranch dressing. (croutons=about 100 cals worth. YUMMY. and 140 for the dressing.) 6 crackers

Snack: Pop secret Popcorn

Dinner: Ramen Noodles. (380)

Umm... average about 1500 for the day? I'm overestimating a bit. Because I don't know everything exactly.

But its either that stuff or cookies, and chips. That's really all there is. I chose the best. Its easier to eat healthy when Dan is at work. I don't want to go out for food that way!

I have 3 hours until I have to leave. I need to get dressed, do my makeup, and organize stuff in my room (and life. ahha) I <3 Danny and I'm so glad he has a job!!
 
I'm sorry to hear that the food there is awkward. It certainly makes it harder to do the next good eating thing when it comes on top of food that isn't the healthy food you wanted.

Do you know how to post the picture you wanted now?
 
I gained weight. Back in the 200's. I'm disappointed. But I went out and bought South Beach Diet Meal Replacement Bars. It will take the place of lunch I think. Thats the period of the day when I tend to munch at everything in sight. I gained a lot of water weight I think. Because the scale went up to 208 this morning. I can't do it without this forum. I need a constant reminder. Tomorrow I will spend a while on here, and I will right now meals I will let myself have... and food I will NOT allow myself to have.

But even though I have gained weight. I feel more self confidence than ever. I went out today and bought close. EVEN though it was my highest weight lately. I bought a US size 17!!! But... I know it will go down,and I will have "fat" jeans. I didn't care. I feel beautiful. I know I am strong, and talented, and hardworking. And I don't care if someone thinks I'm fat. I'm not doing this to impress anyone else. I'm doing this for me...
 
Aw... I'm sorry you have gained, but it sounds like you have also gained a wonderful attitude & some comfy clothes!

Did you join the Holiday Challenge? Sounds like perfect timing to add some support & motivation for you.
