I have been training with weights regularly for about 2 months now. I found that in the beggining body weight measurement by a digital scale was just fine. However, as I am gaining muscle mass it will not do anymore. To train seriously I must know my progress.
I have served in the Armed Forces for 4 years and we used the circumference method. However, I believe that to be one of the less accurate methods. After a long search tonight I have found that there are quite a few other ways to measure body fat such as:
Underwater Testing
Body fat Scales
Body fat Calipers
Obviously Underwater Testing is out of the question for me. I am left with either Body Fat Scales or Body Fat Calipers. Has anyone tried either and with what success? I have heard that the calipers are a pain to use accurately...is that the case? Please share any personal experience you may have had
