Good luck with your new goal! It seems very well thought out and planned and that seems to be what is needed for success! I am so sorry about your car. People are just terrible! I had my house broken into several times and they took all my jewelry and dvds and a camcorder with the first movies of my baby on it. Those bastards!! They have no souls:(

Oh that must have been hard and the movie too - an especially hard thing to lose!
 
OK. So my day isn't going as I planned. But I won't let it be bad.

Lunch: (2:30pm) Ramen noodles(380 calories) and a slice of watermelon (86 calories) So that makes it 466 calories for lunch.

at 4:30 I will have a snack of a granola bar. That is 100 calories.

I will do all my exercises still, and go on a 15 minute walk. I will also do some housework. Plus my BMR... I will be burning around... 2375 calories for the day in total.
 
So I ate complete crap today. And I didn't go on my walk. I just pretty much cuddled on the couch under a blanket and read a book. I enjoy reading so much...and honestly just didn't want to move. But I also have not been keeping up on my exercises lately. (I have toning exercises that I have been planning on doing) well.. tonight I put down my book... and took 15 minutes to do my exercises. I concentrated on leg lifts (works on abs), worked my arms on the weight bench, and did a few back extensions. But the Back extensions sort of hurt me because I am so big chested. And you are supposed to lay on your stomach, with your hands down at your hips. My shoulders just really hurt when I do that. I dont know. weird.

But I feel like i got a good work out for what I did. Its a start.

Tomorrow I have my official first day at STARBUCKS (since I never went back to Bertucci's after I was sick with mono)... it will just be an orientation.. but at least I'm back to getting a paycheck.

Hopefully I'll go to bed sort of soon so that I can wake up early enough for healthy eating, a nice walk, more toning exercises, and enough time for a shower and making myself look nice for my very first day.

I'm excited to lose weight. Because I WILL have a nice tone body in the end. Hopefully by summer of next year.

I have been struggling to but it can be done and WE can do it!!
I am shooting for a great body before 2008 which means lots of
hard work.thats 5 months to lose 40 lbs it can be done!!!

OMG!! :eek: Starbuck's???? I would gain 20 lbs the first week if I worked there. But I would love it! Congrats, I hope you get a regular paycheck again. That can be depressing not having money!!:cool:

Felici: The first day went pretty well. And I love my exercises.

BGS: I haven't even eaten there before. And i'm going to try not to... at least not that much.

My first day was just watching crappy videos. but i found out I am going to be working with a friend from high school. :rotflmao: Its awesome.

Today was my first day of TOM, (I like using BGS's abbreviation. :) )
And I ate really crappy. icecream, and a bag of chips nasty. A small bag.. but still chips. But I couldn't help it. I had NO aspirin, and my mom offered me a small bag of chips once I told her I had my period. lol. I took it. And it icecream was a surprise from my boyfriend when I told him it was my TOM.

But I did manage to try the last of my 6 main exercises. I love them. They are so easy to do, they don't make me "uncomfortable". And I can really feel them working!!! :jump:

If anyone is interested... they are quick, simple, and work wonders.

Hopefully I can not shove icecream down my throat on day 2 of TOM.
 
Day 2 of ToM.

I stayed within calorie limits... I just ate bad. I don't know what is wrong with me.

I did my exercises again. Thats 3 days in a row so far!! And I can feel they are working REALLY well because I am sore the day afterwards. For example I did side bends without weights (to work the love handle/ waist area) I did pretty much 30 to each side. And oh boy can i feel it today. Its amazing.

I finally found the exercises for me!
 
Good on you for staying inside your calorie limits.

I hope tomorrow is a day where you can make your food something you're happy with again.

Hi!!! I am glad you are happy with your exercises! It is such a nice feeling to be sore and know that you have worked hard:) Keep up the good work. Maybe you could mention to your boyfriend that he may not want to bring you ice cream while you are eating healthy! My mom used to bring me pies and cookies and all kinds of crap and I had to tell her to not bring any of that stuff to me anymore. It took a few times but she is very good about it now:) It is hard when food is a gift because, at least for me, I feel obligated to eat it!!! I hope today is better with food!
 
mishi- I will tell him not to anymore. He is trying to make me happy. But I think he's decided to diet with me now.

felici- I am definitely happy with the exercises!

Ok... so. I went on vacation to maine for a week. I gained 2 pounds.But I am ok with it for the time being because I'm still on a good track.

I had 513 calories for breakfast this morning.

2 slices of wheat bread- 160 calories
4 slices of ham- 98 calories
1 slice of american cheese- 105 calories
Mustard- 0 calories
1 dill pickle- 0 calories
11 wavy lays potato chips- 150 calories
1 bottle of water- 0 calories

I'm about to go upstairs and eat lunch. But I am not quite sure what I will have. I think i'm just going to eat some grapes, and a sandwich. yummy.

I have work at 5. So I will not be having a nice dinner. Maybe I can think of something delicious to eat early- before i have to go to work, and a nice snack for afterwards.

15 minute walk today with Dan. YAY. and of course the strength training exercises.
Yay for getting a job at Starbucks.
