bluehats diary

well the ground beef did hurt yesterday
and the scrambled eggs today

i guess its just too soon
it isnt even 3 weeks yet though

so just going to be liquids for longer

There is something wrong with a system that would leave people unable to get help with getting dentures. I have forgotten where you live, but I think it's in the US. I hope your mouth heals quickly & you are able to eat more substantial meals.

Of course you don't learn: being hungry sucks so your brain wants you to eat. Silly question: you're not eating these things warm, are you? The heat would increase inflammation no matter how soft and cut-up the lasagna was.

yep im eating these painful foods warm
i didnt know it would be worse
yikes
thanks for letting me know
i should see about getting cottage cheese

so swelling has occurred inside my mouth
pretty sure its the food though
not sure whats on the menu today
going to try a can of beans

the other issue is these carby foods
has sent my bs sky high
even increasing my insulin doses
has not helped
i suspect that if i can add some soft protein foods
i can replace some of the carby foods

maybe pb?
cottage cheese?
shredded cheese?

i check the scale in 2 days on sat
hoping its at least the same

i must correct something i said
i had said there was no denture
help
but there is a social assistance program
that will cover 500 per so like 500 for the top
and 500 for the bottom
but when the total cost is 3 to 4000$
it is no help

Cottage cheese, pb, and shredded cheese would probably work better now. I hope you can find something good. Scrambled egg would be nice and soft too, if eggs are cheap where you are, and you could let it cool down to room temp.

the beans went down good
no pureeing needed yay

not sure whats on the menu today
i choose them all and prepare it
my family does scramble the eggs
as ive tried and tried
they never turn out right
but soon i can eat boiled ones
then i can make them myself

scale day tomorrow
pretty nervous

yay yay yay

down 4 pounds since last week
so 28 pounds in total
4 pounds since last week
10 pounds since 3 weeks ago (presurgery weight)
the rest in the last few months
idk if that makes sense the way
i explained it
but happy anyway

albeit mostly from teeth and pain issues

it was an easy loss in the way of not trying
and not dieting not feeling deprived much

wouldnt ask for it again this way though

well we shall see next week again

rice soup yesterday
it was a swiss chalet chicken with rice

so next week is shopping
hoping to replace some of these
carby foods with more protein
and fat

i do take a liquid vitamin though
as it was hard to swallow for a week
but i will finish the bottle
could not find liquid adult vitamins
but the pharmacy said to double the childrens dose
so i do

not sure whats on todays menu

Oh wow, that's a lot of weight lost! At least this whole ordeal has SOME benefit then. Very glad to hear the swelling is gone, too.

That is excellent that something good has come out of this. I'm glad you are finding nicer things that you can eat. Hopefully you are through the worst of it.

hoping im still on the weight loss road
