Bindu's Weight Loss Dairy

That sounds like a great plan, Bindu. Back when I stopped smoking, I did a similar thing, and I found out that merely saying it would make the craving less.
Wording can be important, though - stay away from the word 'need' and use the word 'want' instead. My logic is that I can control wants, but I can't control needs, so telling myself it is a want is telling myself that I can control it.

You are right @mrxian, more food than what our body really needs is definitely a 'want'.

Today is Sunday and I checked my weight. I do know since a long time that my personal weighing machine is not accurate. So far I have been adding 4 kg to what my weighing scale shows. Now that I am really coming close to my Goal Weight, I took my weight on couple of public weighing machines and found that I only need to add 3 kgs to what my machine shows. Mmmm.. which does sound good :) And coming to this week, I have gone down 2 pounds. That's surprising, I thought I would only go down 1 lb

Weight on 13-Jan-13 -- 118 lbs
Weighing Scale correction -- 120 lbs
Weight on 6-Jan-13 --- 122.5 lbs
Weight on 31-Dec-12 ---124 lbs
Weight on 27-Dec-12 ---126.7 lbs
Weight on 23-Dec-12 ---128 lbs
Weight on 16-Dec-12 ---129 lbs
Weight on 09-Dec-12 ---132 lbs
Weight on 02-Dec-12 ---135 lbs
Weight on 25-Nov-12 ---138 lbs (Original weight)

Short-term Goal Weight --- 115 lbs (to be reached by 10-Feb-13)
Long-term Goal Weight --- 110 lbs (to be reached by 10-Mar-13)

I kinda relaxed these two days probably because I am already at 118 lbs...
I didn't skip my diet/exercise routine, I am a little relaxed. I am trying to be back now to my usual strict diet/workout schedule.
I do have second thoughts now on my diet/workout plan. I am considering to increase my calorie intake by 150/200 calories, as I am in no hurry now...

I am losing weight too fast to my own surprise. May be I have a very good metabolism, genetically. Since my adolescence till my pregnancy, I was always around 110 lbs.

I have decided to increase my calorie intake by 100 calories. I will be taking up to 1100 calories a day. I am exercising 1 hr a day which includes skipping (500 jumps) and the elliptical machine. My ankle is much better now, though I would never again attempt a 2000 jump skipping in the near future. I estimate the number of calories I am burning through exercise to be 250. I estimate I would lose at least 1 lb a week. I have 8 lbs to lose in 8 more weeks. Good to go.

Current Weight -- 118 lbs
Short-term Goal Weight --- 115 lbs (to be reached by 10-Feb-13)
Long-term Goal Weight --- 110 lbs (to be reached by 10-Mar-13)

Yesterday, I had some restaurant food, within my calorie limits. But it isn't tasty :-(

I have decided that from now on wards, I will make sure the food is tasty, especially if it is rich.

It doesn't make sense to eat calorie rich food that is not tasty.

I checked my weight just now (Sunday morning, IST). I am 116.5 lbs :)
Looks like, at this rate I will be able to achieve my short-term goal of 115 lbs by next Sunday :)

Congratulations Bindu!

You haven't budged even a little since you started this. Very inspiring and hope to see you reach your goals and maintain it all going forward.

Thank you very much @cand0r. Since 2 days I really had doubt that I would probably give in. Your words left me more motivated than before.

Day before yesterday, I did very little exercise and had 2 dinners (though small). But because I know, I am answerable to this forum, I skipped breakfast the next 2 days and did intense workout. It took me 2 days to make up for that 1 day :-(

I ate more and exercised more and it proved to be incorrect :-(
My intense workout proved to be a problem once again. I did 2000 skipping rope jumps yesterday and today and started feeling really bad, really weak. I started having weird sensation at the back of my chest, as if some muscle or something inside me (close to my chest) got affected :-( I have decided to take complete rest today.

Balance I guess is really important, whether it comes to food or exercise. Right now, I am really feeling weak, tired and stressed :-( I repent for all that overeating I have done for the past 2.5 years which resulted in my 13 kg weight gain. I also promise myself that I would eat balanced for the rest of my life and not repeat my mistake of overeating.

I went down almost 2 lbs this week. I weigh 114.6 lbs. And yes, I did achieve the goal of 115 lbs, well before the deadline (why can't I do this w.r.t. other goals??? ). Hmmm.. guess I should be happy, but I somewhere doubt these weighing scales... I tried my pre-pregnancy dresses. They still don't properly fit in. I guess I still have a long way to go. 5 more lbs to lose, which is not going to be easy.

Weight on 27-Jan-13 -- 114.6 lbs
Weight on 20-Jan-13 -- 116.5 lbs
Weight on 13-Jan-13 -- 118 lbs
Weighing Scale correction -- 120 lbs
Weight on 6-Jan-13 --- 122.5 lbs
Weight on 31-Dec-12 ---124 lbs
Weight on 27-Dec-12 ---126.7 lbs
Weight on 23-Dec-12 ---128 lbs
Weight on 16-Dec-12 ---129 lbs
Weight on 09-Dec-12 ---132 lbs
Weight on 02-Dec-12 ---135 lbs
Weight on 25-Nov-12 ---138 lbs (Original weight)

Short-term Goal Weight --- 115 lbs (to be reached by 10-Feb-13) *******REACHED TODAY*******
Long-term Goal Weight --- 110 lbs (to be reached by 10-Mar-13)

Congratulations Bindu. Try some body toning and sculpting exercises as you are losing your weight too quickly..

Thank you, sure, @cand0r.

Since 4, 5 days, I have been really feeling weak after my workout :-(
I suspect it could be because I resumed my skipping. I have been doing close to 2000 jumps.
Am consuming around 1200 calories per day. Looks like 2000 jumps is too much for 1200 calories...

I cannot afford to feel dizzy and sick after my workout, as I have other important things to take care throughout the day that do require lot of energy. Hence I have decided to cut short my exercise for the time being. I will be doing a 45 minute workout (instead of 1 hr), 15 minutes of which would be elliptical machine and 30 minutes (1000 jumps only) would be skipping. I will continue consuming 1200 calories that includes as much protein as possible. With this routine, I will see if I stop feeling weak. Will give you an update tomorrow.

Am not feeling bad today, after my workout. I did 1000 jump skipping (30 mins) and 30 minutes elliptical.
I guess I should restrict myself to 1000 jumps.

Am eager to lose those 5 pounds as well. I want to reach my goal ASAP....

I am still experiencing weakness... with 1200 calorie diet and 30 mins each skipping and elliptical machine.

Also, I have been experiencing discomfort internally near my chest area, especially after skipping, which is not going away. I love to jump the rope, I don't want to give it up, but it looks like if I should be able to do it moderately in the long run, I should put a pause to it now. I will resume it once i feel comfortable in my chest area.

For now, I will take a 1200 calorie diet and do 1 hr elliptical machine and other less intense cardio.

WHY AM I FEELING WEAK??

I have increased my calorie intake from 1000 to 1200 calories, decreased workout intensity. But why the hell am I still feeling weak? I couldn't understand. I searched google. I didn't find the answer. If anybody knows the answer, please do let me know.

My current weight is 115 lbs. Because I now weigh less, is it that my calorie deficit should be less?

I have been on diet and exercise since more than 2 months and have been losing at the rate of 2.3 lbs per week. Does my current weakness have something to do with this long-term severe diet&exercise?

I couldn't take sufficient protein since a week. Is my weakness due to muscle loss?

I am suffering from middle-back pain. Some muscle around that area seems to have gotten affected, most probably due to jumping the rope. Is my weakness due to muscle strain?

Somebody please help me. I am happy I have lost a lot of weight, but I do not want to gain it all back. I cannot keep feeling weak either. I don't know what to do. I do not want to blow it all when I am already pretty close to achieving my Goal Weight.

Today is Sunday (IST). I checked my weight. I went down just half a pound. I would call my past week, a Weakness week. I somehow hoped that I would go down a lot, because I was feeling weak. But nope, doesn't seem to be the case. My past week is a proof of how important it is to lose weight in a healthy way.

Four more lbs to lose in Four weeks... Not feeling confident...

Weight on 3-Feb-13 -- 114 lbs
Weight on 27-Jan-13 -- 114.6 lbs

Weight on 25-Nov-12 ---138 lbs (Original weight)
Short-term Goal One Weight --- 125 lbs (to be reached by 31-Dec-12) *******REACHED ON 31-Dec-12*******
Short-term Goal Two Weight --- 115 lbs (to be reached by 10-Feb-13) *******REACHED ON 27-Jan-13*******
Long-term Goal Weight --- 110 lbs (to be reached by 10-Mar-13)

I got my BP checked today. It's low :-(

Systolic : 101 (Normal is 105-140)
Diastolic : 64 (Normal is 60-90)

This is horrible, coz I never had Low BP in my life before. All of this is because of my diet and workout...

I visited my doctor, got my blood work and sugar check done. Blood Pressure is 110/70 as opposed to yesterday's reading (error in the machine in the mall..oops) Hemoglobin is a bit low. Blood Sugar and Electrolyte levels are fine too. Doctor prescribed some Multi-Vitamins. She asked me to consume Balanced diet and stop workout for a week. She warned me I might get muscle aches if I exercise being weak.

My goal was to achieve 110 lbs by 10-Mar-13. But as my body has started revolting, I withdraw my goal for now. My immediate goal is to feel healthy and energetic instead of feeling exhausted and dizzy. I will think about the 110 lbs goal once I start feeling good.

I currently weigh 113.5 Lbs. My goal right now is to get back my energies WITHOUT GAINING MORE THAN 2 POUNDS.

So here is my action plan for the coming week.

Workout: ZERO (Doctor's suggestion)
Calories: 1500 (Nutritional calories)
Will take Multi-vitamin, fish oil and Calcium supplements

God knows I never experienced this kind of weakness in my entire life. All of this experience is motivating me to take a Oath that I would never again overeat in my life and I would always eat right and exercise right.

Good for me that I learned a lesson.

I am feeling good now. Today is my third day without workout. Looks like my energies are back.
Will decide shortly when to resume exercise...
Also, should check on my weight.

I have started doing 30 minutes workout. 10 minutes elliptical, 15 mins skipping and 5 mins weights.
My weight remained more or less the same 113.5 lbs. It looks like my System is breaking down, if I attempt to do more than 30 minutes of workout. I will check on myself for a couple of days to see if 1300 calories and 30 minute workout is something that I can stick on to further lose my weight.

But these final 4 lbs seem to be the toughest to get rid off...
