BikiniBound's Diary

I'm pleased to hear that your mother has lost a little weight and is feeling better. I hope that the motivation keeps her on track.

Glad to hear that you are pleased with the midwife. That is great.

I had ruled out the b&b notion as you discovered that there was not a viable business proposition a few months ago. I seem to remember you getting the word that it would not pay.

The furniture shop job has possibilities. You are not committed to anything by sending in the application form. I would fill it in and send it in now. Lets face it - you have said that the property market is not in good shape so your licence fees may have difficulty breaking even with a lot of hard work. At the end of the day it is all your decision.

Val--That was the shortest ER trip ever. Normally I end up spending at least 6hrs there (with my mom or gran).

JZ--When you wake up Saturday morning pretend there is a real live wolverine tearing your house apart. :D

Steve--Thanks for stopping by. Yup, it's great that Mom is doing so well. She's pretty much back to where she was before all this crap happened--but still on oxygen. Hopefully not for long, though. If she keeps losing weight that should really help.

Twin--Yeah, an ER nurse once told us that kidney stone pain is similar to what a woman experiences in labor, and since it's rare that women get a k.s., it's kinda like payback to men..haha. Dad has had several of them over the years. The first one was when he was 18.

Margaret--The b&b idea was out b/c we don't have enough money. Any biz is out at this time b/c we have no money to start one with--especially now that we have sunk so much into the condo. I still want to own a b&b someday, though. :) We were joking the other day that it would be cool to open an Aussie-style fish n chip shop here--as you just can't get fish n chips here like you can in Aussie. But restaurants require a ton of capital, and as I said earlier, neither of us has any experience in running a fast food place--but I think it would do well if we could..lol.

My gran's older brother died a couple days ago. He was rather young--88. :) I feel bad for her b/c out of nine children, she is one of 2 left. That has to be hard to keep seeing your siblings die off one after the other. She's lost 3 siblings in 3yrs. Now it's just her (84yrs) and her brother (79yrs). So she assumes she's next. Probably, but I hope it's a ways away. We are still waiting to hear when the funeral is. Uncle Bob was a great guy. Attended Univ of Michigan and was in the air force during WWII.

I would definately have to PRETEND... cause that's never gonna happen!! ;) ;) :D

Ha! Oh, to address what you said earlier about there not being as much excitement about this game this year--I totally agree. I'm sure it's b/c no one thinks Michigan has a chance this year--and they probably don't lol. I'd say they have about a 2-5% chance of upsetting the *uckeyes. I know last year I thought they had a really good chance of winning, but of course they blew it..lol. Probably won't win next year either, but perhaps in 2010... :toetap05:

Thanks for the condolences. I haven't seen him in a few years. He lived about a 50min drive away. I kept meaning to take my gran over to visit him (he's been ill for a long time) but we never made it over so I'm feeling a bit of guilt over that, but my gran could've ridden over with her remaining bro when he and his wife visited them, so I guess I shouldn't feel too bad. :blush5:

Ok, I'm trying not to get too excited, but...

It looks like the flooring (including the tile in the laundry room and bathroom) will be finished by the end of MOnday!! :hurray: If this happens, I get can my appliances and be moving in Thanksgiving weekend! :hurray:

That is awesome:)!Sorry to hear abt your Dad going to hospital and your grans bro.But Id say living to 88 is prob a good life that was lived!:)!

I think I just smelled the U of M bus drive through Toledo on there way to Columbus!! :D I wonder if Rich Rod stood up on the bus while passing through the major metropolis of Toledo and said "This is the peice of crap town that beat you clowns!!" Probably not ;) :D Now that I've talked some smack... maybe it will be a good game! *crosses fingers but thinks yeah right!*

Nah, I've driven through Toledo. I'm sure what you smell is just the normal everday stench of that less than scenic city. :D Isn't Toledo the armpit of Ohio? :waving:

Yah, 88 is pretty good, but the last 2-3yrs he's had lots of health problems.

Good news about Dad is that he passed his kidney stone today. He called Mom and said, "I had the baby!" lol I was getting worried he'd need a c-section. :D

YIPPY SKIPPY! You might be moving stuff in by Thanksgiving, YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sure hope it's all finished, that would be awesome! Good to hear your dad finally gave birth, what a relief~~

Are you staying warm up there???? Brrrr, it was 27 degrees when I got into my car to go to work this morning, NOW THAT SUCKS!

I miss spring so badly!!!

Have a good rest of your evening!!
Hugs

That must be where the term "Holy Toledo" came in--because that's what people say when they catch wind of it? Yeah???

Haha! I drove through Toledo a couple years ago, and I cannot say I was impressed..lol. It was VERY industrial.

JZ--the nipple b/c it sucks? :biggrinjester: Well, Michigan's season is over and thank God!! :biggrinjester: I really hope RR can get a lot accomplished in the off season so we can at least go 6-6 next year instead of 3-9..lol. I'm still questioning some play calls....you can't score when you're punting the ball, so go for it on 4th down when it's early 4th Q and you're down by 21pts. What's the worst that can happen--OSU runs it in for a TD 2 plays later after starting on their own 9yrd line?? And run the ball 3 times in a row when you're on your own 2nd and 1/2 yd line?? Pass it, dammit!! I don't care if Feagin's a "running" qb. If you can't throw the ball, you have no biz being a qb in college fb. :banghead:

Kimmers--YOu got the cold weather, too! It was 19F here this morning. :ack2:

I doubt we'll be moved in by TG, but that weekend we will be--hopefully. H only has to work Mon and Tues this week, so....I need to crack the whip..hahaha.

OOOOHHHH Cracking the Whip, isn't that what gotcha preggers in the first place, you little dominatrix. LOL LOL

Hope it all works out for you, that's so exciting when moving into a new place, AHHHHH I'm happy for you!!

Hope your having an enjoyable evening!
Hugs
