BikiniBound's Diary

I hope that the closing goes to plan this afternoon. Other heads may roll - but you would get a lot of stress out of any glitch - and the Omega-3s want a stress free week so that we do not get diverted towards comfort eating (something that we have all been known to do at times).

Now that the weekend (with it's temptations) is over - I suspect that all the Omega-3s are going to be shooting for a new low this week. We might not get there - but we certainly can try.

Your poor eyes sound so painful - I hope that you feel a lot better soon. It's a shame that the siesta detour is over - the soporific effect of the antihistamines during the daytime would have gone nicely with the siesta detour.

I am not stressed about the closings. I found out this morning that we have a clear to close. Now we are just waiting for the lender to get the package to the title company. If that occurs within the next hour, we'll close today. If not, we'll close tomorrow. I should have 2 closing this week, which means payday for me. :D

There will be no comfort/stress eating for the rest of the week..lol.

My eyes are not painful, just annoying. It's sort of like them being constantly watery. It doesn't hurt. Antihistimine's don't just knock me out for a siesta--they knock me out for hours. :biggrinjester: If it doesn't clear up in the next few days, I'll go to the doc about it--now that i have insurance. :D

Congrats on passing the exam!!

Kim should have something by the end of the week on where we're staying.

I think my problems are not so much allergy-related, although I have been taking an antihistamene before bed. I really can't take one during the day, as they knock me out. The main thing is that my eyes are really weepy--almost mucus-like. I've woken up the last 3 mornings with my eyes half matted shut. :ack2:

Sounds to me like you have pink eye.
Wal-Mart sells an over the counter med for that. Ask the pharmacist where it is at and you should be good to go in about 2 days.

You fuckin smarty! Nah, have the baby and fuggetabout moving to Timbukto or wherever they send you til you build up the seniority.

Amy and Cita--thanks for the congrats. I haven't decided what I'll do if they want me to do the oral assessment--that sounds kinda kinky. :biggrinjester: I guess if they don't want me to, it settles my dilemma for me.

Bella--You think it's pink eye? it seems to be improving a bit. The whites of my eyes are pretty clear, so I don't think it's pink eye.

More good news--we are closing this afternoon--FINALLY. This sale was supposed to close Apr 15th.

And more good news: I thought for sure my weight would be up to 222+ today, but it was still the same as yesterday (221.5). :hurray:

With the walking, I found that I did really well if I did not stop, but after 10 hours or so, any time I took a break I had a lot of trouble starting again! So just keep walking and don't stop!

Congrats on passing the exam, even though it seems that maybe it is not what you really want right now, at least you know you could pass!

Hi Kimberly

It is great news that you passed the exam.:party:
That is bound to be good for your ego - the fact that it appears that you are in demand. I cannot say that I am surprised as you would be an asset to any organisation. It would be unreasonable to think that they werent smart enough to work that out for themselves.

Decisions... decisions... Only you know what you want out of life - but I would keep prioritising the baby side of things if I were you. That is the thing with the big deadline looming. Great careers in the foreign service can be started later if the time were right.

I would look up pink eye on google and see if that sounds right. If it does - get the stuff that Dawn mentions. If not - get to the quack. That is what your great new health insurance is there for.

It's good news that the sale is going through today - now you can have your commission.

Well done on not gaining after eating Chinese food. I wish that I knew how you managed to do that. I always get a gain with Chinese food. Strangely it hasnt made me stop eating it though!

Take care
Love
Margaret

19 weeks until our trip! Gotta get that body bikini ready. Maybe the four of us should start our own little challenge with some kind of reward at the end. Hmmm, I may put that together.

Hi BB

Congats on passing the Exam! forgive me for being an ignorant Canadian, but what is the Foreign Service?

Great news about maintaining your weight as well!

Thanks everyone for stopping by to congratulate me! :beating:

Hmm...I think I'll have trouble walking non-stop for that long. I plan to take half hour breaks after every two hours. We'll see how that goes. If I do that, I'll have 2.5hrs at the end to relax.

Yup, it's really nice knowing I could pass it. H has been really cool today. I think he's impessed..lol. He bought me a bottle of pinot griggio and wrote a nice little note on the bottle. And he keeps congratulating me. :cheers2:

Margaret--I have no idea how I didn't gain any weight today. Besides the Chinese, I ate a lot of stuff I shouldn't have.

My eyes are actually feeling better today. I think it's slowly getting better. If not, I will go to the doc--don't worry. In fact, I have to take my mom there Weds morning, so I might ask "the quack" to take a look.

Thank you for the nice compliaments. :blush5: A baby is definitely high priority atm. You are right, that I can do the foreign service at any time, but babymaking time is very limited--and that job just wouldn't fit with me having very little ones around the house.

Amy--I love the idea of our own little competition. I'm in--whatever it ends up being. :biggrinjester:

Brandy--Thanks! Like I told Margaret, I have no idea how I managed to do it. :svengo:

Sam--Yes--the deal is closed. Just a few loose ends to tie up tomorrow, but other than that, it's finito. :hurray:

Eldaweesda--I'm sure you have a Canadian equivelant to the U.S. Foreign Service. FS officers are diplomats who work in the U.S. embassies and consulates here and abroad. They are assigned to a new post every 1-4yrs. Maybe you call it the Diplomatic Corps or something like that. :)

Cita--Thanks on both counts. :D It'll be even better when I close the next one, as it's more money than today's. :drool5:

Exercise this week:
4/28—35min circuit training, 30 min bike, 10.42 miles, weight: 221.5

I finally got my calories under control today. According to an online calculator, I burned about 981 calories exercising today. Hopefully Scalentino will reward me by going down on me tomorrow. :biggrinjester:

I think I did something to my right ankle walking yesterday, as it's been bothering me ever since--a sharp pain in the inside area of my ankle. I didn't do the boards when circuit training today--I just doubled up on the machines, which didn't hurt. My bike didn't hurt it either, but walking kills.

I feel like an old lady with all my ailments..lol.

981 calories burned!!!!

Incredible work, Kimmy!

As for you old lady ailments....you're beginning to sound like a cougar more and more these days. :D

Hi Kimberly

Wonderful calories burnt! You should surely get a great weightloss if you do exercise that does that.

It is great that your hubby is impressed with your exam-passing achievement. It is always nice when our achievements are noticed.

Sorry to hear about the ankle. I had bother with my ankle a while back and Valerie suggested that I do little exercises where you make little circles with your feet (both directions). I am sure that they helped. I was quite good about doing them up until a couple of weeks ago - but havent really got back into the swing of things. It only takes a minute - and seemed to help both the problems get better quicker and prevent new problems.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Hey Kimberly,

Thanks so much for stopping by my diary yesterday and cheering me up a little, I needed it... Your a gem:)

Sorry to hear about the ankle, that is no fun. Sometimes my hip bothers me when I run and it drives me nuts... You know your body and sometimes you just have to take it a little easier but it is frustrating... Congrats on all that exercise!

Kimberely,
WOW! Congrats on burning so many calories, that's GREAT girl! The pain is from something GREAT, so enjoy it if you can, LOL. You are doing wonderfully, as always...I don't know how you manage to keep going day after day, it's been a month or so for me, and I am exhausted!
