BikiniBound's Diary

Sorry for your disappointment and the crappy news at work. Hopefully the rest of the day will improve for ya.

As far as trying to get pregnant goes (if this is the case for ya), . . .

I was 26 when I first starting trying. I came off the pill for 3 months before we officially started trying and it took us a year! If that last test was negative again, I was gonna call the doctor . . but things worked out. THEN when #2 was discussed, I didnt want one yet but I agreed to start trying assuming it would take a year again . . . WRONG . . 1st try!(I even know the conception date lol).

So don't get too discouraged . . I'm sure things will go as the man upstairs sees fit.

:)

I think I'm mostly annoyed b/c I have a couple of friends and a co-worker who got pregnant right away. And they were all wishing it had taken a bit longer. Whereas I, who want to get knocked up on the first try, am not. In fact, this is the 2nd month. :( I know it'll happen when it happens, but I still feel irritated. :D

I'm sorry that you aren't pregnant...but then again you can't be definite until it comes. Good job on the exercise. Don't worry about the snacking. It happens to all of us. ((Mainly me I guess)) Have a great night!!!

You're not the only one with snacking issues..lol. I think all of us here can raise our hand as guilty as charged..lol.

Yup, :reddevil: is not here yet, so there is still a small chance, as the test isn't 99% accurate until Saturday. But i'm not holding my breath..lol

One of the things I'm learning from this board, and all you wonderful folks is that one little snacking binge is not going to ruin all your hard work. You've lost 60 POUNDS! 60 POUNDS, KIMBERLY! That's like...a Backstreet Boy! So you snacked this week, big deal! And your exercise is so great!

Speaking of real estate...ee are trying to sell our place in Tampa, and OMG...if we sold it at the offers we've been getting, we'd OWE money! The housing thing sucks everywhere!

Yup, 60lbs is great, but I want to lose more..lol...and it's not gonna happen when I'm eating like that...:lurk5: Ate some Edy's cookie dough ice cream tonight. I don't care. Omega's in the hospital, so our team is out of the challenge for sure--which we would be anyway unless I dropped some serious weight by tomorrow--which is pretty unlikely--even if I hadn't eaten the ice cream--b/c of :reddevil: arriving in a few days. I nearly always put on about 3lbs of water weight during that time. :ack2:

Your family is not alone. Lots of sellers up here are showing up at the closing table with a check in hand--not receiving one. There are tons of people up here in the same situation. A short sale is when you owe more on it than you can sell it for, and sellers ask the bank to take the loss. That is always an option if you cannot get a decent offer. However, it can negatively affect your credit and tax liability.

MJB--I guarantee you'll feel tons better if you exercise! :)

sigh. our house is up for auction on the 29th.

stupid jumbo loans, 0% down, adjustable rates.

my mom is scrabbling to find a place. we found a house that's worth 950 (in good condition with upgrades), that is now bank-owned and selling for 570...lol, we put an offer for 540, bank rejected, bank wants 569, my mom got pissed. but she put in another offer for 559.

housing market, sigh! I think I'm going to get my real estate license after I graduate. I REALLLY REALLY LOVE GOING TO OPEN HOUSES ON SUNDAYS. I am super ambitious..gotta remember, i'm only human. =/

Anyways BikiniBound, how do you even put in that much time into cardio? what motivates you? what KEEPS YOU GOING after the first 5-10 MINUTES??? please tell me your secret! no before pictures?

yes, lenders were foolish in giving out those kinds of loans, and buyers were foolish to take them without understanding all the facts. In an appreciating market, those loans aren't so bad, but when the market stabalizes or declines, people can't refinance those ARMs b/c the value is no longer in their homes, and then their payments double and they fall behind.

When you say your home is up for auction, do you mean it's in foreclosure--like a sheriff's sale auction, or just a regular auction to get it sold?

As to becoming a Realtor, if your love of going to OH's on Sundays is your primary motivation, I would stick to just doing it as a buyer. They are not as fun when you're the realtor..lol...trust me. :D Also, there is a lot of overhead involved in being a Realtor, and it's not nearly as easy as most people think--especially in the current market. 80% of new agents get out of real estate before their first year is up--even in a good market. :)

Regarding cardio or any kind of exercise, the honest truth is that for me, the hardest part is actually starting it. Getting my ass off the couch is the hardest part. Once I'm at the gym or out walking, or on my bike, I'm fine. It's getting there in the first place that challenges me. If you're new to cardio, and find it physically hard, that'll get better as your body gets used to it. You just have to keep at it. I went about 9 months without riding my bike, and when I got on it again, I was really feeling it after just a few minutes--and I had been doing other forms of exercise during that 9 month break. But I stuck with it, and it didn't take long at all before I could do 30min pretty easily, and was going faster to beat my times. Just stick with it, and you'll find it gets easier. :)

short sale. pre-foreclosure. kind of jist. Ahh..yes buyers..I'll think about it!!

Wow, 9 months?!? Well, I'm in this for the long haul, so I guess time will tell!!

Oh BikiniBound, do you have a name? hehehe

I'm sorry to hear about the sheriff's sale. You should have at least 6 months to remain in the house after the SS before the bank actually takes possession. During that time, you can sell it. It's better to sell it in a short sale than to let it go back to the bank. So if you can get rid of it, and the bank will take the loss--go for it. Most banks are finally realizing that they're gonna lose less money in the end if they just take the loss before they get the house, b/c by then it's vacant and often in worse condition. What I'm wondering is how your mom can get approved for a loan if her house is in foreclosure?? If this is too personal or too private for my diary, feel free to Pm me..or just tell me to mind my own damn business...lol.

When I said 9 months, it was that I didn't ride my bike for 9 months. And when I got on it again, it was hard for a couple of days. Then it was all good. :)

My name really is Bikinibound. My mom was anxious to get back into a bikini after giving birth to me, so she named me that for inspiration. Ok, my real name is Kimberly--not Kim--I'm anal about that. ;)

We had another beautiful day today. They keep forecasting rain, but it never comes. :hurray: It was mostly sunny and 80 degrees today! I took a 6 mile, 100min walk this afternoon. I'm gonna have to start wearing sunscreen, b/c my nose is all red now. I'm so not used to having to worry about sunburn after the long winter..lmao.

I'm feeling great after my walk. I normally only do 3-4 miles, so I was really feeling it that last mile.

My eating's been pretty good today, but the day is not over yet...:D

Quite honestly, Margaret has been my inspiration today. Even though she's in the hospital and had surgery, she still managed to update her weight this morning (for the challenge). So, it looks like our team will make it through this week despite my gains. As she obviously won't be able to do much if any exercise this week, I'm stepping up my game (yes, it's about time I did that), and I'm gonna work hard this week to get a good loss and to get in tons of exercise to help out the team. I'm figuring 8hrs 45min between Bella and I will get the job done. We have to leave 10% for M per the rules, so if she can't do it, at least we'll get in as many exercise pts as we possibly can. I've already got 100 of the 525min I need to do this week. I have 7hrs 5min left. :smash:

NICE walk! We too had similiar weather in MD and hoping tomorrow will be about the same. I would have liked to walk but had too many chores today.

Have a great weekend!

Even though you are competition :))), I hope and know that you ladies will be alive and well for week 7 of this challenge! If any team can overcome an obstacle, the mighty Omega-3's can! :D

Congrats on the awesome walk!

Tyly and Yarmiah--Thanks for stopping by! :)

Yeah, I was amazed we are still in the challenge. In fact, we are going to end up in 2nd or 3rd place this week, depending on Amber's weight. She still hasn't checked in yet, so I hope she does so in the next 30min.

6 miles! That's great Kimberly! :) I DIE...DIE after 3! That's fabulous! I'm glad your eating today is doing well, I'm NOT. It's so much easier when you're in the office to eat better. When you're all relaxed at home, it sucks! It's still a reflex to snack and watch tv, I guess.

YAY, you're all motivated and in a good mood today! I'm so glad to hear the weather in beautiful, it is here too..I may go swimmng. Are you sure you want to reveal your team's game plan on here? ;) I haven't spent much time over at the Challenges forum, maybe I'll go look! It sounds motivating!

Have a great weekend, girl! Have some fun!

Hi Kimberly

Sorry to hear that you were not knocked up. Maybe next month..........

Well done for getting the exercise in. It looks like you are going to really go for it this week. Just remember - other people are just being mean when they say that we are obsessed with getting the things that we deserve - we know that we are just focussed.

You will be pleased to know that I am getting my siestas in nicely.

Take care
Love
Margaret

You guys are doing the Amazing Race challenge? How many more weeks is that one to run?

There are 2 weeks left. :)

Carrie--You just have to work your way up to 6 miles. I normally only do 3 or 4. Just stick to it, girl, and you'll find that you're not dying after 3--that you're actually increasing your pace. :)

The best way not to snack on things you shouldn't while at home is not to buy the stuff in the first place. You can't eat what isn't there. ;)

The challenges are fun and very motivating. I'm going to be doing one based on the show Survivor next. It'll start up in about a month. Feel free to sign up for it when I post sign ups in about 3 weeks. Don't worry, I didn't reveal anything that would give the enemy teams a leg up on us. :D

Brandy--Thanks! No rain yet, but it looks like it's gonna start pretty soon. I might have to get my umbrella and walk in the rain. :biggrinjester:

Margaret--So glad to have you back! :hurray: I am not surprised that you are getting your siestas in. Too bad I can't count my cat's siestas. He is a siesta pro..lmao!

Yup, I'm not knocked up, but Tammy is. :willy_nilly: Where is the justice? :biggrinjester:

Look at you losing weight over here. Great job!! I see your ticker moving down lower and lower. Whoo hoo!!

You'll have a good week this week. Go girl!

Hi Kimberly

There is no justice in this world - but I am sure that Tammy will be pleased when she gets her head around the surprise side of the situation. She loves her kids so much so I know that her new one will bring her a lot of pleasure.

She said some time ago that she reckoned that there was something in the local water making them extra fertile. She had all those problems with that cyst during her first pregnancy and things could have so easily turned out different for her there. Maybe you should get her to send you a bottle of local water just to be sure that you have everything going for your next attempt.

Maybe it is in the stars for you to get knocked up in England in June so that your baby is in part of English origin!

You can always have fun practicing before your next fertile window of opportunity. Practice makes perfect as they say.

Take care
Love
Margaret
