BikiniBound's Diary

Wow, Scalena just refuses to budge does she? Want me to come kick her ass? I killed mine with a hammer. Lol!!

Good luck with the cake tonight. My H brought home girl scout cookies over the weekend. Bastard. I am NOT a sweets person and always prefer something salty UNLESS you dangle the cookies called "samoas" in front of me. I love those damn things. I ate six of them on saturday. :( I didn't go over my calorie limits but that much sugar was soooo not good. He has been ordered NEVER to bring them home again!

Do you have big plans for the H's birthday?

Oh girl--don't even get me started on gs cookies!! I love the peanut butter ones....ooohh those are to die for--or in my case, gain weight for. hahaha :reddevil: You Brits may not know what girl scout cookies are--well, I'm sure you've figured out that gs is the American equivelant of girl guides over there. Every year they have a big cookie fundraiser, and their cookies are fantastic. They have several different varieties. I'll spare you the temptation by not posting a link to their website..hahaha. I'm so nice it's sickening. :biggrinjester:

H's b-day was yesterday, so it's here and gone. No big plans. I'll do something special in 4yrs when he hits the big 4-0.

Stupid cars. :banghead: H just called me. The accelerator on his car has broken off, apparently. So he is getting it towed to the mechanic, and now i have to go pick him up from there. This is going to mess up my gym time a bit. grr...

On a better note, I made one of my chicken/veggie stir-fries today, and it was good. I still have tons of it in the fridge for later. The thing I like about them is that they are low-cal and filling--and healthy, of course. :D My hungar appears to be under control today. :hurray: My calories are quite good, and I even factored in a slice of cake. I still have 400 calories left for dinner. I might make the slice of cake smaller so I can eat more at dinner. :D

Hi Kimberly

Well done for mentioning the holiday plans. It is great that he didnt say "No". It kind of means that he has bought into the idea in principle.

Good luck with finding a buyer for that house.

It's a nuisance about the car. Our car has been getting something fixed today too - but it was planned and booked in up front.

I am sure that you will think of a way to make up your exercise. I know that you will not drop exercise points.

I think that I will be happier staying blissfully ignorant about these cookies of yours. There are quite enough temptations in this country - as my former size will testify.

Stay away from that cake. Wrap it up and put it into the freezer until Friday. That way you can spend the calories on some food to keep you feeling full. I would be famished on 1600 calories if I was spending some of it on cake. I fully understand that your hubby would want you to have a piece of cake with him on his birthday - but you did that. Now it is no longer birthday cake - it is just cake. Put yourself first here.

Feel free to remind me of the above statement on 18th May when it is my hubby's birthday. My hubby will definitely want me to eat cake and treats galore if last year is anything to go by. Thank God we never have left-over cake.

I have to say that the stir fry sounds good though.

Take care
Love
Margaret

hi Sexy Twin!! yeah, cars can be a big pain in the REAR-END, and trust me I know, it's always something. I'm still taking care of my sons vehicles so it's tires for his car, oil changes, brakes, ya, ya, ya always nickel and dimed to death, drives me NUTS!

Hope you get yours fixed quickly, and with low out of pocket as possible. Good to see your food cravings are starting to slow down a bit, I wonder what was making you so hungry lately?? Aunt flo is officially gone from my house hold, so it's off to the gym tonight for me and some major working out this week. HOPEFULLY the weather will be nice, it's 60's today, but they say a cold front is moving in Wed and ice is coming through, DAMN IT! NO......... I can't stand this stuff, why all the hot-cold weather this winter, it's a freaking mess! Either stay warm, or stay cold, no wonder everyone is getting sick around here.

Okay, I'm done ranting and throwing a hissy fit, sorry!! LOL LOL Hope your evening is a good one and your able to still get some workout time in. I know I NEED IT BADLY!!
love to ya!
Kimmers

Car issues are such a pain, Kimmy!! Just two days ago our van broke down. Thank God it's still under warranty or we'd have to invest in a new transmission.

Congrats on finding ways to manage your hunger! Hunger pangs are the worst. Not only are they frustrating, they're rather painful and at times, dibilitating.

Chicken and veggie stir fry is one of my absolute fav meals. What I love about it, is I can add TONS of veggies and get full and it's hardly any caloric intake at all. I love it. Can you ship me some for my dinner?

Oh and ah...perhaps a sliver of that cake too? :)

Hey there grrrrrrrrr CARS ours was estimated for all the damge and if nothing turns out bad under the hood it will cost 3,500 on body damage geeesh!
YUMMY on that chicken stirfry and controlling hunger hope you have a FAB
Monday Tammy

Exercise this week:
2/18—45 min exercise bike, 15.35 miles, weight: 223

Monday's calories: 1,650
Calories left through Thurs: 3,749-4,749
Avg calories per day allowed: 1,250-1,583

I doubt the car will cost too much to fix--at least I hope it doesn't.

We are under another winter storm warning and a flood warning as well. It's been snowing since early afternoon. So, this meant the roads were bad this afternoon while H was waiting for a tow, and he had to wait almost 2hrs b/c the tow trucks were busy with weather-related accidents. Then it took awhile to get home b/c the roads were even worse by then. Needless to say, I didn't make it to the gym, but I did get on my stationary bike for 45 minutes.

The cake has been broken into..lol. It's a third gone. It was delicious, btw. But as you can see from my calories, I ate just a small piece. :hurray:

We've gotten about 3 inches of snow already, and could have up to 8 inches by morning, and we're supposed to get up to 4 more inches tomorrow morning. :ack2: It's also blowing and drifting--making it worse. One road is closed b/c of 4ft/1.3m high snowdrifts. It is also very cold out--about 14F/-10C, but with the wind chill it feels like 0F/-18C. The road crews are putting out sand instead of salt on the roads b/c of the temps being too cold for salt to do anything. Therefor, H will probably get another snow day tomorrow..lol. This would be great, as his car is in the shop...lol.

Yes, my Twin Kimmers, Spring cannot come soon enough! I hope you are spared ice. After what you went through earlier this winter, I don't blame you for throwing a hissy fit..lol. I'm watching the weather on the news, and the meteorologist just said that in the last 40 days, we've only had 2 where no snow fell!! :ack2: He said we won't get another day without snow until Thursday. How fun!! :puke:

Rena--you are lucky to be married to a mechanic..lol. I am jealous. Luckily, we have a good one who is very reasonable. He does great work, and does it out of his home. He has saved us tons of money over the past few years.

Rae--If I sent you some cake, you'd break your no chocolate for Lent vow..lol. Or have you already broken it? :biggrinjester:

Tammy--I hope your car insurance covers the cost of the repairs. Here in Michigan auto ins is mandatory, but I know some states don't require it , so I hope you have it. :)

Margaret--so your H is a Taurus, eh? So is my gran, and my grandpa (her H) was, too. No wonder he can be bullheaded sometimes..lol. :biggrinjester: My grandparents were always butting heads--even though they loved each other. :) I'll keep you in the dark about the gs cookies..lol. I'm sure you will avoid the May birthday cake on your own--you're much better about that kinda thing than I am. :)

Ok, I'm watching HGTV again (imagine that!), and I've noticed that nearly all the plumbers, electricians, carpenters, builders, etc are pretty hunky. The guy on right now has like 25" biceps..lol. And he's cute to boot. So why the hell aren't they hunky around here? All the home maintanance/home improvement guys around here are sporting beer guts and ass crack..lmao. :banghead:

Yes my hubby most certainly is a Taurus - and you can imagine that with me being a Leo we have moments where we both think we are right and are inclined not to budge (just he is the one that is wrong then!) Seriously - we get on very well - but we could never be one of those couples that say "x years together and never a cross word".

To funny about the cake!
There is no way that I would be able to have a cake in my bedroom (or my house for that matter) and not eat it! Way to go for you showing restraint until everyone else could have some too. LOL

Hey there - I just wanted to drop by and say hey...you are one of those with the read daily and lots through out the day diary...LOL...Looks liek you guys are having winter too hey...We are fianlly seeing the sun, the 3rd day ina row now...it is so nice and beautiful!!!

I ask myself this on a daily basis. LMAO at this post btw, Kimmy. You've just made my afternoon. LOL.

I want to snag me a hunky carpenter, but the chance of that reality is slim-to-none.

hey kimberley..the cake drama made my day lol! seem slike everyone is having cake nowadays. it always seems to fall at the same time when everyone is having or staying away from cake. i just baked some yesterday nad had some but not too many! i didn't have as much self control as you though. :( lol!

hows the car anywhere near well?

have a good day beautiful...you've got plenty of it left yet

;-)

Thanks for dropping by, everyone! :grouphug:

The latest cake update is that when I went into the kitchen at 9am today there were 3 slices left--someone dug into it in the early morning hours..lol--not me!! When I went into the kitch at 1pm, the cake was gone. I think H took the rest of it to work with him. So I was kinda bummed bc I was gonna have another slice. :D Oh well, it's better that I don't. And that ends the cake saga. :biggrinjester:

No word yet on the car. The storm wasn't as bad as they predicted, so school didn't get cancelled, meaning H has my car today, and I'm stuck at home.

The scale was down to 220.5 today--making me happy to get away from 223, and just .5lbs up from my lowest.

Angelic One--stay away from the cake! :D

Bella--the only way I was able to stay away from the cake was b/c it was H's cake, and I knew I'd never hear the end of it if I broke into it prematurely. :D

Cerella--Please--I beg you--send some sunshine my way...:biggrinjester:

Margaret--I don't think any couple never has a cross word. Even my parents who have a very good marriage have their moments--never shouting matches, but certainly a couple of cross words now and then. :)

Rae--I think we need to find out where all these hunky home imp. men are. :biggrinjester: I'm electing you to do the "leg" work. ;)

your cakis are hilarious!!!!!lol reminds me of when a bakery opened next door to our car lot.... they sent a box full of pastries home.... i ate just a few...and told my husband to take the box to work!!!!lol So i wake up the next day after dreaming all night of wonderful, rich, pastries and ........they were gone. I called my husband who said he took them to work just like i asked.....i said good.....and was so upset the rest of the day...damn...i was looking forward to them!!!lololol If something is in my house i eat it.... just like im eyeing up the mini eclairs my husband bought yesterday!!!lol

Good thing about the car not being too expensive to fix.....car repair cn be sooo expensive sometimes.

oh and congrats on the 220.5 ....even with the cake.....:)

Did someone call a carpenter!?

;)

You sound like a stripper arriving at a bachelorette party. :D I've got some singles ready to slip into your utility belt. ;)

Rena--yeah, it has been confirmed--H took the rest of the cake to work..lol Damn! Ha! And, the car is fixed. It was $140--so not too bad. Plus he got the oil changed and something else--a tune up maybe.

Exercise this week:
2/18—45 min exercise bike, 15.35 miles, weight: 223
2/19—65 min circuit training, weight: 220.5

Tuesday's calories: 1,483 :hurray:
Calories left through Thurs: 2,266-3,266
Avg calories per day allowed: 1,133-1,633

I am very pleased with my calories for today--that kind of makes up for them being so high over the weekend.

An old high school friend called me tonight--I haven't talked to her since I was in Korea in 1998 or '99. She gained a bunch of weight, too, and took off 105lbs in 1yr. Must be nice..haha. She said she became a gym rat, and after she hit a plateau, started eating like an anorexic--so she didn't recommend her method..lol. I would think not. She is about 10months younger than I, and on her 2nd marriage which is on the rocks. I'm not surprised, as she is a bit psycho..lol. Her parents are nuts, as well, so I'm sure that is why. She told her ex (whom she wants to get back with) that if they got back together, he could stop paying her child support. He said he'd rather pay child support! LMAO

Still freezing out, and it's snowed most of the day. The roads are pretty bad--mine was very icy in spots as I was driving to and from the gym tonight. THINK SPRING!!

I think its best that H took the cake. He was looking out for your diet (and his cake he he).

Lucky about the car, he came of CHEAP!

Good job on the weight, any day now to the teens!
