BikiniBound's Diary

I'm in the same boat as you, girl. But then again, that's what happens when we're a bunch of impatient bitches, right? HA! Give it a week and I'm sure you'll see a drop in pounds, darling. Btw... good on you for getting in all that fiber, my naturally cleansed colon cutie you. HA!!! Love yas...

-Sheryl

It's just frustrating b/c I took off those 5lbs last week, and now 2 of them are still hanging around. I was hoping to hit a new low this week. At the rate I'm going, I'll be lucky not to post a gain for the week. :cuss:

Tyly--I'm sure that's why you weigh less the 2nd time around. I've done that, where I've gotten up to pee, weighed myself, gone back to bed for a few hours and then weighed again. It's always less the 2nd time. I'm sure what I said earlier is the reason for it.

Oh, God. There goes the damn phone again! :cuss:

Weight was 224.5 today. That's down from 225 yesterday, but still higher than my ticker weight. I'm annoyed b/c I've been soooo good with eating and exercise the last few days, and this extra weight doesn't seem to want to move.

Unfortunately, a few days of very strict compliance doesn't always translate into an appreciable move in terms of the scale.

Longer spectrums of time are necessary and focusing on how much progress you've made based on a few days of strict adherence can be mighty self-defeating, homey.

That's my take anyhow. :)

Hey I feel ya sister! I have to fight for ever .5 pound I lose now, it seems I'm putting a lot of muscle on anymore and instead of losing pounds, I'm losing inches again, BUT..... I'll take inches don't get me wrong, I just hope the scale follows soon too. Don't worry, you lost a lot a week ago, your body will probably take a week or two, to get it burning again, but it will if you keep up what your doing, I don't see how it couldn't. Hope you got a good nap in!
Hugs!
Kim

I gained 5lbs over the holidays, then lost it all last week. Then I gained 2.5lbs--it isn't fat b/c I haven't eaten enough calories to add it. Normally, I'll lose that water (or whatever it is) weight in a day or so. Well, it's been 3 days and it's still sticking. Not to mention, it's been nearly 2 weeks that I've eaten/exercised well. I ate around maintainance over the weekend--that is my only splurge.

Dont worry sweetie, those pounds WILL be off shortly..its just a matter of time. You are a weight loss MEGA STAR!

H wanted me to ask you if you know Desmond Howard? He saw your wolverines and commented. Yeah, he even wanted to post something about football but I wouldn't let him. LOL

 What is a nap lol? I do get to get 1 inbetween when I ship kids
to school and before the lil one I babysit gets outta preschool (11am).
Anyway keep up the good work and can't wait to see how ya do Friday!

Of course I know who Desmond Howard is...lol. Wide receiver at Michigan in the early 90s. Won the Heisman. He's on ESPN all the time..lol. He also had quite a pro career, although I was in Korea during most of it, so I didn't follow it. Why didn't you let him post? Dammit, you know how I love to talk football, and since I can't do it with my H, you could at least lend me yours...lmao!! :smilielol5: Although he won't get any sympathy from me regarding the Cowgirls losing. I really don't care much about the pros, though.

I'm certainly not a weight loss mega star!! I've only lost 13lbs since mid-August. Considering I still have tons to lose, I don't think those are very impressive numbers.

Well, I've 3 days to drop 2lbs in order to weigh the same as I did last week, so I'm not very excited at all. Can y'all tell I'm feeling down in the dumps about all this? I have only myself to blame, though. :cuss:

Whats impressive is your consistency, not necessarily the numbers..which are damn good by the way!

Now that girl is calling me names in yet another thread. I told you she's looney!

Exercise this week:
1/14—55min circuit training, 10min treadmill, 5 min stretching, weight: 225
1/15—55min circuit training, 15 min bike, 5.4 miles, weight: 224.5

Tuesday's Food:
1.5 cups Special K Protein Plus cereal, 3/4 cup 1% milk
2 scrambled eggs, English muffin, butter, jam
1 small slice apple spice bread, 1 tiny blueberry muffin
1 whole grain English muffin w/deli chicken breast, slice provolone
a few peanuts, 1 large honeycrisp apple
Boneless pork rib (lean only eaten), 3/4 cup corn, 1/2 cup cheesy julienne potatoes, 1,785 calories, 27g fiber

I was pleased with my workout, getting in another 1hr10min today. I've got 70 minutes left to exercise in order to get my max challenge exercise pts this week. My calories were a little higher than I was aiming for, but I think it'll be ok considering I'm working out more than usual. I really hope the scale is down to 223 tomorrow.

So I didn't end up voting for Hillary. Apparently, the Michigan Dems violated some Dem party rule by moving up the Michigan Primary, so Hillary was the only top candidate in it. Edwards and Obama weren't on the ballot. And, Michigan's Dem delegates were forfeited b/c of this. So it didn't matter who won the Dem vote. Hence, I voted in the Republican Primary instead. :D Romney got my vote for the following reasons: 1. He was born and raised here, a fellow Michigander. His dad was governor here in the 60s. 2. If he didn't win the Michigan Primary he would most likely drop out of the race, pretty much handing it to McCain, and I want the Reps to sling a little more mud at each other to make the Dems look better. :D Aren't I silly? I watched the Dems debate tonight, and was pretty impressed with them all. I think Hillary did the best, with Edwards a close second. I really like Edwards, and wouldn't mind if he got the nomination, although I doubt he will.

On a funny note, H was telling me about something he saw the other day while at the doc's. In the parking lot there was an older truck covered in dust/dirt, and someone had written the following in the dust/dirt: "Wine 'em, dine 'em, 69 'em." Now if that isn't a classy motto to live by, I'm sure I don't know what is. :smilielol5::smilielol5:

Hi Kimberly

Anyone that has struggled to lose weight knows that any weight loss is impressive weight loss. You work hard for your loss and you deserve the loss of every pound that you have lost. It is as simple as that. Blancita is right - you are a star. You also help to motivate many people by the challenges that you have organised.

I am pleased to see that you do your civic duty and vote. I always think that if I vote I have the right to complain about the mess the politicians make of things. People that dont vote kind of compromise that right of complaint.

I always believe in voting for the person and not the party if there is a good person there. One of our local councillors is very good. He knows that I vote for him and he tries to get me to deliver leaflets when I go out walking. The thing is that he is a Lib Dem and they have no chance at national level of ever forming a government so I would be unlikely to vote for someone from his party in a general election unless I knew them (unlikely!). Whenever he raises the subject I kind of give excuses.

Nice classy motto!

Take care
Love
Margaret

I think the only really good thing I have to be proud of re my weight loss is that I am not a yo-yoer. I can maintain pretty easily--never gaining more than 5-6lbs before taking it off again. I just wish I could stay "in the zone" for more than a few weeks at a time. :ack2:

Weight was down to 223 today, so that pleases me. Now I have 2 days to get below 222.5. :ack2: :nopity: cue the violins...lmao

Hmm...what is that girl saying now? Do we need to send Sheryl or Stacy over to beat her ass?? :smash:

Thanks, Margaret! That is very sweet of you to say. :)

I comepletely agree with this.

The Liberal Democrats in the UK are kind of like the independents here--they get elected at more local levels, and a few of them even make it into Congress/governorships, but have virtually no chance of taking the presidency (or in your case, making prime minister and getting the majority in Parliament)

Nice classy motto!

Thanks! I thought it was just hilarious. A new one to replace "wham, bam, thank you, ma'am" :D

I've got to mop in a few, so I'll fill the bucket with soap and water and tend to your boobies first. :smilielol5: They'll be squeaky clean by the time I get done with them. I'm off to grab my sponge. You're not missing out this week. :D

That's right Kimberly - the Lib Dems have never been in power in the UK in my lifetime (48 years) - and I doubt they ever will. The question raised each general election tends to be whether all the Lib Dem MPs will fit into 1 taxi! They really will never influence who makes the decisions here.

I would actually be more inclined to vote UKIP than Lib Dem if I wanted to vote for a small party. I am sick of too many rules coming from Brussels.
