LOL@cuckoo that fell into the nest! You are not cuckoo--you are just different--variety's the spice of life.
My mom getting on the computer isn't going to happen because her poor eyesight makes it too difficult for her to see what's on a screen. I think that if she really wanted to lose weight, she could. At this point, I honestly believe that eating as much as she wants of whatever she wants is more important to her than losing weight. Both my dad and I have told her she would feel so much better if she'd cut back on her eating--and as we are both losing weight now, we're great support. But, sadly, she shows absolutely no interest in it. I wish she would find a new hobby, but there is so little she can do that doesn't require physical activity or decent eyesight. Even with her glasses on, she cannot read a newspaper without her magnifying glass.
Pumpkin pie is yummy. It's basically canned pumpkin, milk, sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon. If one used skim milk and a sugar substitute, it wouldn't be all that fattening--aside from the crust.
Hmmm...that could be a good snack--just mix up the filling and not use a crust.....I just might be on to something here.
Ooooh---it got even colder last night. Right before I went to bed it was 0.7 degrees F. When I left home at 9am this morning it was still only 9.5 degrees out. Rock salt doesn't have any effect on the roads when the temp gets below 17F, so needless to say, our road is still crappy. Is anyone else out there suffering in the cold---or am I the only one? I'm sure there must be some other people in the North on here freezing their asses off like me.
