BikiniBound's Diary

I hope the scale bestows you with the numbers you are looking for!!

I realized today that I chose the same caloric range as you for week 2 bonus! At first, I thought that was odd, but I realize we are close to the same weight, do a reasonably similar amount of exercise and both eat 5-6 times a day. Then it made total sense. UNTIL...I began wondering why you are melting and I am plateauing. Any ideas?

Oh, and on the challenge, the people who signed up late...I was thinking that since they are too late to join outright, you could tell them they can keep posting and they could be alternates for anyone who signed up on time but then doesn't update for the first few weeks. That way you could replace people who don't stick with it and you can see how serious some of the latecomers are abut doing the challenge. You would not even have to do their points unless they get used as an alternate and put on a team. Does that make sense? If it is too much work for you, or causes trouble, forget I said anything!! It was just a suggestion that might make everyone at least semi-happy.

I just caught up reading in your diary and I am FASCINATED. My curiosity has been aroused, I'm going to do some snooping--great job with the weight loss!!!!!!!!!

hey girlie.....great job on the food and exercise!!!! I am sure you will see 226!!! Soo.....am i a freak of nature ....cause i try to avoid sex as much as possible!!!! the scale/sex thing doesnt apply to me!!!! When my husband comes at me....i run...lol!!!!!

Rena

Ok that made me far too happy. Best of luck getting the scale to give you below 226 you're certainly working hard for it.

Thanks! No such luck getting below 226 today, though. Scale said 226.5...sigh. Better luck tomorrow. :D

bmohearn: You are so funny! The walk sounds nice...

It was a nice walk. We gabbed the whole way. Both she and I talk each other's ears off. We are the poster children for women who never shut up when we're together..lol. :biggrinjester:

hickgurltx: I'm also hoping for a "new low." I hope to see 173.0 or 172.0-172.5...*Fingers Crossed!*

Kimmers

I hope you're on, too--at least to log your stats. I'm sure the scale will make you happy. If not, beat it with a sledge hammer! Kimmer--that's what my grandpa used to call me. Used to annoy me at the time, but now that he's gone, I'd love to hear him call me it again. :)

Well, do you cheat a lot? How much to you mix up your exercise? How long has it been since you took a break? I plateaued for 2 months, so I know how you feel. It sucks ass.

That is an interesting thought. The thing is--there is always going to be someone who wants to join at some point. Where do I cut it off? I feel for those who were too late, though. The thing is, as it's individual atm, i didn't limit the number of people who joined. So it's not as though I need x amount of people. Not sure what to do with this. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Curvie Girlie: I just caught up reading in your diary and I am FASCINATED. My curiosity has been aroused, I'm going to do some snooping--great job with the weight loss!!!!!!!!!

Haha! What are you fascinated about? What are you curious about? I don't understand what snooping is in order. Please enlighten me honey bunny. :biggrinjester:

Rena

I thought you Muslim women are supposed to be sluts in the bedroom with your husbands?? :biggrinjester: Why don't you ever want to have sex? He must not be very good in bed then..lol. ;)

Kimberly, I cheat maybe once a week. (Like last night's white mocha latte.) I try not to "cheat" but just to have snacks that fall into my meal plan.

Exersise was fairly limited to long walks and my home elliptical until I joined the gym last wednesday. Now, I have a weight routine, I use ellipticals, treadmills, and true striders for cardio, along with walks with my husband. I swim once a week and use pool resistance dumbells for my arms after I swim. And I am taking a yoga class once a week. However, I have not been doing it long enough to really see effects quite yet.

I took that one break (diet wise) about a month ago, and since then, I have lost 1.2 lbs.

But, I was losing weight a while back when you hit your plateau, so maybe it was just my turn?

Rena, I can honestly say I do not understand not liking sex. I am sorry. When it's good, it's the best thing on earth!

When I say cheat, I mean go way over on your calories--eat at maitainance, basically. I eat things like chocolate, etc frequently--but most of the time it fits into my calorie alotment. Since you've recently started mixing up the exercise, I say see how that goes. Honestly, I really started dropping the lbs after I started riding my exercise bike again.

Damn, I missed all the fun. ;(

Well what fun would a message board be without some drama LOL :D. Exphys wrote his nasty message about me in response to something f'd up he wrote about Sheryl where I politely defended her. He did this in the wee hours of the morning while I slept, and when I awoke, and was probably one of the only ones on here, I saw it. I asked mal to delete my diary and next thing I knew, the thread where Exphys lied and insulted me was a goner as well, and his rep was in the red LOL. In the post he noted that H and I had been arguing and commented, sarcastically, how he understood how I could be overly emotional right now or something or other because of my stress level and that he felt bad that I was stuck in a bad marriage because "I dont have enough money to leave H". First of all, who ever said I was leaving H. Second, I never mentioned a thing about money problems as that really isn't one of my problems at all thankfully. That was the gist of it but the way it was worded and the stuff he wrote was sickening. He likes to hit below the belt, and make up stuff, which he should know is libelous LOL, especially given his extraordinarily impressive status as a student at a "top tier" law school (yes, he bored us with this fact). Didn't mean to bring it up again but I didn't want y'all wasting your time searching for the thread when it wasn't there (as I sure am quick to seek out a thread when there's some drama ha ha!). Thanks so much for your support everyone, I really appreciate it :).

Trev, are you sure you're still in high school? You come across as a 30 year old man in your posts, very mature and very bright.

What an ass exphys is! LOL@ you being too poor to leave your H. Are you sure he wasn't reading MY diary?? lmao

I agree--Trevor sounds much older than he is. :) oh, and Trevor--I think that if you want to be a heart surgeon you should go for it. Who cares how much med school costs or how long it takes. Gotta pursue your dreams. If you want something enough, it's worth the money and your time. I was gonna post this in Steve's diary where you posted that, but forgot.

Going way over on calories, maybe twice a month, if that.

Sounds like everything you're doing is on point with what you should be doing, but yet the body is still fighting the weight loss. I sure know how that feels!

Well, I won't go into the theory behind it, and it may very well just be a gimmick, but I just read this book which theorizes that the timing of meals has much to do with appetite and the rate at which we metabolize our excess fat. Basically you eat your daily calorie allotment in 3 meals rather than having any snacks as well. The other parts are that you cant eat after 7pm (so as not to compete with the supposed best fat burning time: late night), eat some protein with breakfast and a bit more protein than usual if you can. I am SO DYING to test out this book's theory on someone else to see if its just me or some fluke.

For me its really kept my appetite in deep check but I'm still on my months long plateau after trying it for the past two weeks. Edit: Actually my pants are looser but I've been lifting weights lately too so I think I've lost a bit of fat since trying this (but a bit heavier from the added muscle). But I feel great though, I'm able to survive on much less food than before and feel less hungry and have way less cravings.

If you dont feel like it no biggie but it if so then keep me posted! BUT I'M SO CURIOUS! Anyone??

Blancita, I have been reading your debates with Steve in various places over leptin. I am intrigued! However, I am seeing a dietician and am folowing her plan (at least for right now), as otherwise I will be wasting my money to see her, if that makes sense! So far, I have lost 20 lbs, so her methods DO work for me as a norm, and I am hoping to get past this really soon. Also, I rarely eat dinner by 7, as my husband is not usually home from martial arts by that time. I COULD eat without him, I know, but I would hate to. It's my time with him, and I value that so much. I do eat protein at breakfast (actually at every meal and snack, as part of my plan is to control insulin so I never have carbs without protein, although protein without carbs is ok occasionally.)

I am sorry I cannot help test the theory at this time. I am curious to see how it works for other people, though.

Today was another busy day. Went to bed at 3:30am last night, and got up at 9:30 to make a biz call. Went back to bed from 10:15 to 11:00. Then went to the gym, showered, grabbed a quick bite on my way out the door. Went to the office, then drove into the city to show a house. Wrote offer on house, then rushed back home to take Dad to his physical therapy appt. Got stuck in construction traffic and had to detour, making me late. Dropped him off, got headlight replaced, got some groceries, picked up Dad, drove him to 2 banks and credit union, then to drug store to pick up his prescription. Dropped him and groceries off at home, then went to bakery outlet to get bread. Then to office to fax offer. Got home at six. I was exhausted all day long. Probably b/c I'd only eaten 500 calories before 6pm, and was tired from lack of sleep. I need my 8hrs or I'm dragging. So, you'd think that at 1:30am I'd be exhausted. However, I have a 2nd wind--always do at this time of night.

Tomorrow will be a lazy day of watching football. :sifone:

So my gf I haven't spoken to since mid-August is having a birthday on Monday. I have been debating whether or not to send her a card. In order for it to arrive on her birthday I'd have to get up early to buy her one and get to the P.O. before it closes. I think I have some blank inside cards around somewhere, and could just mail it from home. Yes, I'm lazy. :D But I would have to find them...I think I know where they are...

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hmmm... is that the "skinny bitch" gf? If so, make sure the card is on recycled paper and it hasn't been tested on animals. If it isn't, don't be surprised when she sends you a box full of "organic shit." hahaa! jk Good job with the exercise, honey. By the way... the Christmas Challenge is ace, mami! If you need help with anything just let me know.. Hey, if you're up for a phonecall tonight, I'll give you a ringy ring. Enjoy today's football, honey. GO UH!!!!! WOOT WOOT! hahaa!

Grrr...Michigan is down 7-20 at the half.:mad: Their defense can't seem to stop them, and the offense hasn't been much better. :toetap05:

I sent the birthday card to my gf...:biggrinjester:

So weigh in was 226 today--back to my lowest. I'm gonna ride my bike hard tonight for 30min and see if that helps.

I am so irritated about the Mich game. I think i've said, "oh, fuck!" about 20 times already. Basically after or during every play...lmao
