BikiniBound's Diary

Damnitt... now you got me hungry for pork chops, woman! Hmmm... maybe I'll have to run to the store to buy a few tomorrow. hahaa! Also, I'm glad to hear your knees didn't bother you any. Go on girl!!! You keep that shit up and you're going to see a huge drop in numbers on the scale, lady. Sleep tight, you Mike Hart Perv.

-Sheryl

I bet you don't even know who Mike Hart is! lol

I walked/jogged again tonight. Trying to get the shit out--not keep it up! :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Exercise for this week:
8/27--40min circuit training
8/28--42.5 min walk--3miles w/jogging IT

Food for Today:
meal#1--egg and sausage cheese bake, pineapple, watermelon (14g)
meal#2--more watermelon and pineapple (12g)
meal#3--steak, broccoli, zucchini:eek: (2g)
meal#4--low carb protein shake (2g)
meal#5--rest of steak and broccoli, leftover pork chop (1g)
31g of total carbs

Did well on the exercise and eating again today. Just realized how many damn carbs are in pineapple, though. That sucked..lol

Weight was 239 this am, so that sucked as well! I am beginning to think I will never get below 236 again...whine whine whine...:rotflmao:

I hope you dont mind me putting in my 2 cents? I'm counting the calories as well as the carbs because I'm not sure I believe this stuff about losing weight on unlimited calories. I think part of the magic of the low carb diet is that it cuts your appetite so you end up consuming less calories. I do believe high protein/fat diets burn up more fat and you can eat more calories than on a regular diet and still lose, but I do not think you can have unlimited cals and make it happen. An extra 100 cals here and there may make the difference? Or maybe not. Just trying to figure this out with you. I'm feeling a wee bit hopeful that I'll get my same 3 pounds (that I've lost and gained the whole summer) off with counting carbs and calories. And math's my worst subject .

Yeah, I hate math, too! :boxing: Does my food today look like a lot? I think it's under 2000cals easily. The 9oz steak and 5oz pork chop were pretty lean, fruit is low in cals along with the veggies. Protein shake has 190calories. Not sure about the egg dish, though..lol I'd guess around 700cals.

I'm not saying what you had was high because I didn't calculate it (actually it does look totally low), but I would add it up everyday to see. When I did my first low carb day last friday I ended up eating 2450 calories, and the scale stayed high after that day. After reading more about carbs online I found articles that say you need to keep it low cal as well (usually by cutting fatty things where possible). I just want to thank you for reminding me about this low carb diet because I just went down 3 pounds since friday, back to the *new low* from May that I've been trying to get back to ALL SUMMER! I am psyched! I've reduced my calories a lot, but unlike USUAL I'm not STARVING and that's allowing me to eat less and possibly lose (hoping ?). I had to force myself to eat yesterday. Will this stick, will the scale keep going down? Who knows, but I'm going to keep this up for a bit and see what happens. P.S. Of course fighting with H also curbs one's appetite. Perhaps you should try that again? Nope, just kidding its so not worth it.

Bah!!! If I would have placed a bet, your ass would have been mine, lady! haha! I'm very much aware of who Mike Hart is. My dad's a huge Michigan fan.

So I was checking out your meal plan and looks fine to me, then again, I don't do the low carb thing anymore after I found out a bunch of bad things about it. (kidney stones, keto-breath, higher risk of cancer/ heart problems, etc) Also, due to my culture (being part Chinese and Hawaii) it's difficult to stay away from carbs. (noodles, sweet potatoes, taro, etc) I guess I just hate being restricted too much, you know? God... I'm such a control freak. Hmmm... could be the inner dominatrix in me. Who knows. HA! I see it this way... if it works for you and you have no problems with it, then do it. You'll get down pass 236. Just keep in mind of those pesky ass calories. (If you have time, try logging the foods you eat at fitday or sparkpeople.. it makes a HUGE difference.)

Pervert Out!

Well, I'm glad to hear you lost those 3lbs!! I came in at 237.5 this am, which is down from 239 yesterday, but still up from my low of 236. Hopefully tomorrow will be good--if I can just stay away from the fackin delicous cookies this building inspector keeps bringing in!!! Damn him! I've got 3hrs of temptation to go!! Lord, give me strength!! I am not normally religious, but those cookies are the work of the devil!!!:rotflmao:

Yeah, I don't think my cals are too high, and the meat I eat is pretty lean for the most part.

I hate when people bring in tempting things, believing they're being nice. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. You've been doing really well so I'm sure this plateau will break soon. How long since hitting the 236 *new low*?

Well, I'm mainly doing this low-carb thing to break through this plateau. Once I do, I may just stop, b/c I don't like being so restricted, either. The problem with the low carb is that if you cheat, you've facked yourself up more than if you cheat on a more balanced diet. But this one is supposed to let me be able to pig out on carbs on the weekends, so we'll see how that goes!! I have logged in my food at fitday--but it's such a pain in the ass to do it. I just can't be botherd!! :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

I weighed in at 236 for the first and last time on Aug. 15th...hopefully tomorrow will be the 2nd time!!

Where the heck are ya BB ? I hate when you're not around, you crack me up the most.

:rotflmao: I can't believe that I crack you up more than Sheryl! I swear every sentence that comes out of her mouth is pure hilarity. But I thank you for the compliment. :jump:

Well, here I am, and I'll be on for several hours..lol Long after your early bird ass has gone to bed. Of course, if I had a real job and a baby I would probably have to get my night owl ass to bed sooner, myself. Oh the horror!

I hope so too! I'm betting you will. ;)
*breaks out the male version and totally masculine pom poms and shakes em for ya* *L*

You should be watching ESPN , College Football Preview all night long !

Grrr...I don't have ESPN!! Dammit!

Oh no!! How can anyone who likes college football live without ESPN ?

I have no idea!! Somehow, I manage. We almost got expanded cable a few months ago, and I was soo excited b/c I'd have ESPN. But we ended up keeping our basic, basic cable. Haha! How many women do you know who want cable just for sports?? My grandma's the same way. Must get it from her.

Debating on whether or not to eat more today--only had about 1000 calories thus far.

Exercise for this week:
8/27--40min circuit training
8/28--42.5 min walk--3miles w/jogging IT
8/29--60min walk--4 miles no IT

Food for Today:
meal#1--pepperoni slices, one slice of deli roast beef, 3 slices of cheddar cheese
meal#2--chicken veggie stirfry (5g)
meal#3--low-carb protein shake (2g)
meal#4--hamburger patty with cheese
meal#5--canteloupe (12g)
meal#6--organic peanut butter (6g)
25g of net carbs total

Well, I did really well on food today. Luckily, those cookies at the office weren't much of a tempation once I realized the kind I really like were already gone. Plus I had other good food there to eat, so that help a lot. I could probably eat more, b/c I think my calories are about 1200-1300, but I'm not really hungry.

Exercise-wise I decided not to do any IT today--want to give me joints a rest. I had planned on going to the gym, but couldn't get there before it closed. I will go tomorrow instead.

I sooo want that damn scale to say I'm below 236 tomorrow!!! This would require me to be down 2lbs from today's weigh-in. 264, 254, 241, 236--these are the numbers I plateaued at. I shouldn't have plateaued so soon. Usually it's 10-14lbs before I do. This time only 5#. Grr..yes, I'm whining, I know..lol Damn scale!:boxing: It's a love/hate relationship, isn't it?

Very nice Bikini, really keeping those carbs down. I really need to start watching carbs myself.

I can relate completely with the love/hate relationship with the scale. Right now, my scale and I aren't on speaking terms.

Just wanted to stop by and cheer you on. Keep up the good work.
