BikiniBound's Diary

OMG, that sucks. I hope they got your power back on quickly. At least it wasn't hot as hell last night (unusually chilly here too).

What areas do you work on the circuit training? Do you do the same exercises each time or a different mix? I've been lifting weights since 1993 (on and off usually around 8 months out of the year), so let me know if you have any questions about your program or anything.

meal#5--chicken veggie stirfry (zucchini, broccoli, mushrooms, green onion, green pepper, tomato, fresh garlic, thai red curry paste, thai satay paste, lemon and lime juice, tarragon) with tomato basil feta sprinkled on top
meal#6--oatmeal choc chip cookie (150calories)

That stirfry was really yummy! And hopefully Sheryl never touched the zucchini!:rotflmao:

Nah... I try to stay away from those Michigan zucchinis. They just don't do it for me. LOL You fackin' pervert! Your weekly workouts are awesome as usual! Foodwise... damnitt, you now have me craving spicy thai lemongrass chicken. (That's my husband's fave, so I'll probably make some this week.. woot!) Doing fantastic, beautiful! Keep it up, girly.

Damn B.... you should become a personal trainer. (Aside from you being a supermom and Ms BusyBody NYC over there. haha)

Food looks good.

Awesome exercise. Do you take the weekends off? [honest question]

Sorry 'bout the power. We lost power all the time when we lived on a military base. It really sucked. And the response time was soooo slow. If it looked like it would storm, the wives [esp. the ones with kids] lit candles in case the power decided to go out. I do it in the civilian sector and we've lost power twice in 2 years. Old habits die hard.

Hope things improve for ya!

Tonight I was reading away in someone's diary when suddenly everything in the room went black--except for my battery-powered laptop. Some idiot must have hit a pole and knocked out the neighborhood power. It couldn't have been the weather b/c it was only sprinkling out with no storms. And it couldn't have been an overload, since it was 58degrees out and so people wouldn't be running their fans/AC. Damn idiot drivers!! So I went to my office b/c I was bored. And we have well water, so when the power goes out, we have no water. So no flushing the toilet, etc. According to the elec co. website they are "currently in the process of evaluating your situation. An estimated restoration time is not available at this time." Slow poke bastards! It's been over 3hrs since the power went out.

I hate that! The electric company takes forever to put our power back on whenever it goes out too. ick. Hope it didn't take too much longer for them to get it back up and running.
xoxo

Well, I have to eat a bit of crow today, b/c apparently the elec company's website isn't updated very well. Judging by what the clocks said when I got home, the power came back on around midnight--so only off for about 2.5hrs. But I can still bitch about their website being about as useful as men's nipples, can't I??:rotflmao:

Blancita--I do a Curves-type circuit. There are 9 hydraulic machines that combined, work all the major muscle groups. I try to work them as hard as I can, b/c the harder you work them, the greater the resistance becomes. I'm pretty happy with my gym/workout, and mix it up to keep it interesting.

Sheryl--I'm the "fackin' pervert??" I'm not the one abusing zucchs!! :rotflmao: :rotflmao: Don't forget, ASZCRAC is after your kinky, perverted ASZ!!:rotflmao: :rotflmao: Mmm...lemongrass...I LOVE lemongrass. There is this yummy as hell Thai soup called Tom Ka. I absolutely adore it. It has lemongrass and chicken in it (among other things). I used to eat it all the time at the Thai restaurant near our place when we lived in Australia.

So on Friday I got a sob story from another agent who couldn't do his Sunday open house b/c he had out of town buyers from Texas who wanted to look at houses in the $300K range. Being the big softy that I am, I agreed to do his OH for him. It's only 5 min from mine, so no big deal. So I'm at the house, and suddenly a black cat who is almost a dead ringer for mine that died 2 weeks ago pops out of nowhere. I thought I'd seen a ghost. He ended up being very friendly and affectionate, and we spent the next hour together. Yes, I cried a little, for the first time in over a week.

Hope your Sunday is going well. I've gotta go--my husband wants to bonk my brains out! :rotflmao: Giddy-yup!:jump: :jump: :jump: :jump:

The "riding" was the only exercise I got today--kinda took a day off since I exercised M-Sat this week. I gotta say, losing 40lbs has greatly improved my sex life--in several different ways. So that alone is motivation for everyone--losing weight=better sex. :beating: :beating:

I adore Tom Ka Gai!! My best friend grew up in Thailand and I cannot thank her enough for introducing me to the amazingness of their food. Yellow curry, tom ka gai, honey pork, tamarind duck, satay....oh...I want thai now.

I know. Damn, Thai food is like an orgasm for the tastebuds. The flavors are incredible.

Exercise for the week:
8/13--40min circuit training
8/14--40min circuit training
8/15--40min circuit training
8/16--40min circuit training
8/17--40min circuit training
8/18--45min IT powerwalk--3 miles
8/19--Horseback riding, gardening (not sure how long);)
4hrs5min of exercising this week (not including household activities):jump:

Weight lost this week: 1.5lbs

Food for today:
meal#1--2eggs, 4lite sausage links, 1 small tomato
meal#2--strawberries and cottage cheese
meal#3--scallops sauteed in olive oil and butter with spinach, mushrooms, green onions, fresh garlic, lime juice, pepper, lemon pepper.
meal#4--low-carb protein shake, small piece of chocolate
meal#5--leftover chicken/veggie stirfry from last night, 1 peach
meal#6--blueberries, 1tbsp organic peanut butter, 2tbsp strawberry jam
meal#7--romaine lettuce salad with tomato, cucumbers, sliced deli turkey, a bit of shredded cheese, low-cal/carb balsamic dressing.

I almost didn't put my food on here today. It wasn't any worse than yesterday, I guess. I don't know what's wrong with me the last few days--I've just been hungry as hell. I haven't felt like this in ages, where I just want to eat constantly. It seems to have started when my H came back. Wonder if that has anything to do with it. Weird.

I decided to take a day off exercising today. I think 6 days a week is enough...lol

Tomorrow I am getting a reflexology massage. I get one about every 5-6 weeks. It's only $20 for a half hour, and it feels sooo good. I love having my feet massaged. And, I tend to lose weight after getting one. I think it does something good to my system. Hopefully it will do something. I am falling behind on my weight loss goals. It's my goal to be at 230 by the end of this month, but at the rate I'm going, it isn't gonna happen. Think positive! HA!:rotflmao:

great job on exercise!!!! 6 days a week is awesome. Your goal of 230 is soooooo close who cares if it takes a few extra days!! You'll get there. Hope evrything is going good with your husband.
oh and..... how are the bowel movements???lmao <--------had to throw that in lololol

You really wanna know???:rotflmao: :rotflmao: I should ask you the same!:rotflmao: Thanks for the kind encouragement, Rena. How are things going for you? Hope you managed to get some sleep over the weekend, and that the kids are doing better.

You are cold Sheryl! :rotflmao: Not trying to be a busy body but I was just curious:). BB likes to give her (Excellent) advice too so we have that in common :D). BB, not sure what you do on your circuit but be careful about working the same body parts 2 days in a row to give your muscles a chance to heal and build up. But you're probably already doing that. Well that's the conventional wisdom with regular weights anyway, it could be different with the hydraulic ones so what do I know?

BB, great job on your inspiring losses! Have a great day everyone!

Well, it's advice--I don't know that it's excellent, but thanks for saying so..lol

Hydraulic weights do not give you the same muscle soreness as non-hydraulic weights do, so one can work out consecutive days and be ok.

After reading an article that Tony McClellen posted in his journal yesterday, I am considering doing the anabolic diet. Anyone heard of it? He said he has been doing it, and loves it. I think it might pull me out of my slump.

Ok, I'll bite , what's a reflexology massage? Is it done by cute lil oriental ladies who offer a happy ending ? *L* no seriously I've not heard of reflexology and I'm super curious to know how getting a massage might help promote weightloss.
I bet you can be at 230 by the end of the month . Especially at the rate of exercise and horeseback riding you are working at !

Hope you had a great weekend Kimberly !:hug2:

Well, my massage therapist is cute, but she isn't Asian, and there is a happy ending--but not the kind you're thinking of!!..lol

Reflexology believes that there is a corresponding part of the feet and hands for every part of the body, and that when the feet or hands are manipulated, it affects the corresponding part of the body. Here is a reflexology chart for the feet:

Any kind of professional massage has theraputic benefits--relieves stress and tension, aids in digestion, etc. A reflexology massage will stimulate and improve circulation, if nothing else, and release toxins that get built up. So that can positively affect weight loss. Thai massages are also very good for this, too. But it is deep tissue, full body massage. So if you can't hack that, I'd go for the reflexology. Mmm...I love professional massages!! I would have one every single day if I was rich! lol If you get one, though, don't talk during the massage. It isn't nearly as enjoyable if you talk during it. I just keep my eyes closed and enjoy.

Thanks for the kind words, Paul. You are the best! I am trying...if I could just stop being so damn hungry. It seems to be worse in the evenings.

You are cold Sheryl! :rotflmao: Not trying to be a busy body but I was just curious:).

Oh sheesh... by no means was the "Ms BusyBody NYC" a jab at you, girl. I honestly think you're always on the go, which is awesome and I give you credit for. Hence the nickname, silly. haha

Kimberly... you and your damn Tom Ka Gai now. Sheesh.... I went to some "fancy Thai" restaurant in Syracuse for my sister in law's birthday and I ordered Tom Ka Gai as my starter. That mutha facker came out to $12 alone! WTF! Needless to say, I'll never go to that crap "thai" restaurant ever again. Thai food being all cuisine and shit. BLAH! I like my Thai food being flopped around on a huge ass wok on an open fire by a one eyed Thai man with a pet rat. By the way... i'm so proud of you, sister. Keep shrinking away.. just don't go disappearing on my ass LOL!

When I go through that, I always get hungry about 3 in the afternoon and stay hungry. It really sucks b/c I'm literally hungry and have to eat or suffer. 'Course that happens monthly- and we won't say why. If your body decides to do this to you again, take note of when. Maybe you can ask a doc about it. [My mom always tells me to take my vitamins... hehe] Hope it goes away soon!
