BikiniBound's Diary

Brandy, Paul and Stacy--thanks for checking in. :)

I figure I'd better check in here daily or people will think I've gone into labor..lol. Still nothing going on--no contractions, loss of mucas plug, breakage of water, etc..lol. I don't think baby's dropped, either. Next midwife appt is Monday, so we'll see how things are then. I believe I'll get my first internal exam then, so I'll find out if I'm at all effaced or dialated.

For now, I'm just plain uncomfortable, and my back/hips feel as if I've run a marathon. I'm ready to welcome little baby into the world and be done with pregnancy. I will confess that I'm slightly nervous about giving birth, though. :willy_nilly:

Hey Kimberly! :) You're going to do great, and at the end, you'll have a beautiful baby to hold, feed, change, feed, change, feed, bathe, dress, feed, change, feed, change, pic a nursery school, sign up for kindergarten... J/K!!! ;) :D Sometimes it feels like it goes that quick!!! Hope all is going well, and your Monday appointment goes good and ends with happy news! :)

:puke: @ mucus plug *L*

Hang in there Kimberly , you're in the home stretch and you'll forget all about the aches and pains the minute that lil face stares up at you. Before you know it they'll be driving and thinking about college.

Oh God I gotta look forward to college tuition in another year :banghead:

Hi Kimberly!!! :waving: *Looks around, nods* OK well I certainly hope the baby arrives soon, I don't blame you, you must be suffering!! Best wishes and hugs for you, the baby, the family and Henry :)

Quick update: No baby yet.

My mom has lost over 100lbs since she went into the hospital with all that water weight gain. About 70lbs was water weight, but the other 30 or so was fat. :hurray:

Just popped in to see if the baby is here yet. We hope that you had a good anniversary. It is really great news about your mother's weight loss. It is great that she has lost some fat and the water weight was putting strain on her heart too and she will be so much more comfortable without it.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Hello! Happy Anniversary!

I hope that baby comes soon... It seems like March is a very good month for babies. My sister had her baby earlier this month and as well as a co-worker of mine. Another online friend of mine had her baby yesterday. My son's teacher (another co-worker of mine) will have her baby later this month... I wonder what's up that?

Here's the update: I am 80% efffaced, but there's no dialation yet. Baby has dropped a little. She said I'm about a -2 for those of you who know what that means..lol. My midwife said she doubts I'll go before my due date--which is fine. I didn't expect to. She said probably some time next week. Also, if baby doesn't come by the 24th, they'll do another ultrasound to make sure the placenta and amniotic fluid are good.

I think I had my first braxton hicks (false labor) contractions last night, and a little bit tonight as well.

Margaret--It's great that Mom is doing so much better. It's a huge turnaround from what she was just a few weeks ago. Even my gran was impressed when she saw her yesterday.

Sweatpea--Thanks for the anniversary wishes. We had dinner at the Olive Garden and it was really yummy! :)

Brandy--Yup, the days are counting down, but it probably won't be until next week. :)

Wishes--I actually went for a 30 min walk today as the weather was gorgeous. As it's supposed to be even nicer tomorrow, I'll probably go for another one. :) We've even been having S-E-X!

Steve--Are you trying to pressure me? :D

One thing I haven't mentioned lately is that I am very disappointed in my weight. It's just been going up and up when it shouldn't be. I'm afraid I've gained nearly 30lbs total, so I'm very upset about it--had a little crying jag over it this morning after the daily weigh in. I was hoping to keep the weight gain to around 20lbs. Not gonna happen. :cuss:

Don't be too hard on yourself about the weight.
It'll come back off in no time. Especially with the determination you have.
Glad to hear that your mom is doing so much better. That must have been pretty scary for you.
Here's hoping Jr. decides to get here in a reasonable amount of time.
Ciao!

Below is a link to some pics from the bushfires in my husband's home state of Victoria last month. It's really sad--entire towns were burnt to the ground. One of them is/was called Marysville. It was a quaint touristy town set among beautiful scenery. David and I spent a day there in the area. I remember having tea and scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream at a cute little teahouse. Now the entire town is gone. :(

Kimberly, did the package arrive for the baby? It shipped weeks ago now..

You are totally bugging about your weight girl. You will look back and realize that at the end it is impossible to stop gaining cuz its ALL BABY. The baby just grows really fast and plumps up at the end. So DONT WORRY! No lie, I lost 32 lbs in 3 weeks after giving birth.
