BikiniBound's Diary

Alta--Thanks. Aside from peeing more than usual, I don't feel that much different..lol. Well, over the weekend it did feel like stuff was going on in that area, but it might've just been gas. :smilielol5:

Margaret--Like Amy said, doing weights while pregnant is a good thing. It helps keep the muscles firm which greatly helps with labor and delivery--especially the abs and back muscles.

Amy--Thanks for the info. My gyms weight machines are all hydraulic, so there is no heavy lifting involved. I don't think it'll be a problem. There is one girl who goes there who worked out pretty much until she gave birth. In her last month or so she had to give up the ab machine..lol

I have done a tiny bit of yoga in the past. I have a yoga tape (which I've used about twice..lol), but it's not a pregnancy one. Space at home is quite limited, so I think that's why I didn't do it much. But now that we are getting our own place, I'll have plenty of space. So if you want to send it, I'd love to have it. :)

A long distance baby shower? I dunno how you'd do it, but that is awfully sweet of you to think of it. :)

I'll get it in the mail! I think we could think of something quite fun and interesting to do with the LD baby shower. I'll put something together closer to your due date and after we learn what the sex is. I am rooting for a GIRL!!!!!!!!!

I wondered if there were some exercises that could make things go better. It is important that you take no risks - and you want things to go as smoothly as possible too.

One of my friends had an exceptionally good pregnancy (she only has one child so it wasnt anything about her being an expert). She consulted a homeopath and got special advice for the general pregnancy and also the labour.

I will always remember that she worked right up until the day she gave birth (she was an IT contractor - and contractors get paid for the days that they work and dont get paid for the days that they dont work). She wanted all her time off to be with the baby!

She amused everyone with stories of how she realised that she was in labour as she got home from work. She sent her husband to the homeopath to get the labour stuff and she decided to iron the outfit that she was going to wear for the hospital so that she looked good on the video of the birth that her husband was keen on shooting.

The moral of the story seemed to be - consult a homeopath!

Thanks!! You won't be finding out the baby's sex until it's born...so...:)

Margaret--I used to work with a girl who waited tables until she was 9 months along. I don't know how she did it. She was in her mid-20s though, so that probably helped..lol. I honestly can't be bothered to consult a homeopath..lol. She'd probably just make me take a million herbal supplements etc, and it's already hard enough to remember to take my pre-natals. :)

CONGRAT'S Kimberly!

~*I'm sooooo happy for you!*~ :grouphug:

Wow OooO Wow! :hurray:

I'm smiling from ear to ear!

A new place and a baby on the way.. Super Awesome! ;)

Mal---Thanks! Would Auntie Mal like to babysit next year? :biggrinjester:

Dawn--You all really don't need to go to all the trouble of a baby shower. I think I'd feel guilty. :)

Stacy--Thanks dear. It's funny how I'm older than you are by a year, and I'm going to be having my first baby as your baby is nearly grown. People will wonder if I'm the grandmother...:biggrinjester:

Why should you feel guilty?
We all love ya and just want to do something totally cool for ya.
Besides how many other people could possibly boast that they have had an internet baby shower?
You could be the first!

Better watch out for Mal's babysitting skills! LOL You just might get more than you bargained for. hahaha

Holy shit... I haven't been making the rounds. Last I stopped in you were buying a new place.

Now even bigger news!

Congrats Kimberly... very exciting :)

I'm the auntie that teaches the kids the bad words, how to spit, how to be sassy, and I encourage drinking :D I'm the bad influence auntie.. :D

I don't think most kids would need you to teach them that. From what I've seen, they learn how to do all those things soon enough without naughty Auntie Mal's wicked influence. :D

Dawn--I guess I'd just feel bad if y'all went to a lot of trouble over it, that's all.

Steve--Yup, first a condo, now a baby. Now it's your turn. :D Perhaps Mal can whip up some peach muffin aphrodisiacs for you and Krista--not that you need it, I'm sure.

Haha, I'm not ready. I mean I am... but we're going to wait a little bit yet. I think she'll get pregnant (if it all works out smoothly) sometime next year.

We'll see!

Thanks! It's funny that with all the medical knowledge out there, no one really knows what causes morning sickness in some and not in others. Hopefully I'll be one who doesn't get it, b/c I really hate throwing up. I'd make a terrible bulemic. :D

Cita and Cerella--I hope you're right about crying babies!! I'm already critical of how most people parent (or rather lack of parenting) their children..lol..so I hope I don't get worse..haha. Most people I know become less critical of other parents after they have their own children.

Throwing up is never fun, I hate it as well...And as far as parenting goes, it looks easier than it actually is...LOL...Iind alot of ppl who are non parents are full of advice cuz they have never dealt with it before. Even the difference of one child to two, lol...

Gl with the morning sickness I have absolutely no explanation for that except sweets always helpedd me with the bad morning sickness like peanutbutter toast a couple peices of chochlate or poptart whoever said crackers and flat pop was the the answer lied lol!! My first 3 I was sick morning day and night pretty much up till 7-8 months my last one NO SICKNESS and this one sick exactly 3 months then it totally disapeared MAGIC lol!

What worked for me was a banana and orange juice, ironically it was pretty much the only thing that coul settle my stomache...:puke:
