BikiniBound's Diary

Haha good call on the high weigh-in....I weight a very small bit less today but used my weight from yesterday instead! Now when I lose all this water weight, I'll look like I worked my butt off all week ;).

Dammit--we need to start PMing our strategies so everyone else doesn't get any ideas off us...lmao. :smilielol5:

I finally got off my lazy ass and got on the bike for 30 min. I even upped the resistance quite a bit for the last 5 minutes. That should count for extra exercise minutes :smash: :D

I'm feeling really lazy today. I accomplished very little. I haven't even been bothered to make dinner yet, and it's nearly 8:30. I did go look at 5 houses today--well, make that 4 b/c I couldn't the door open on one of them. :cuss: I wasn't all that impressed by any of them--all overpriced.

Haha your team is full of strategies, I love how competitive you all are....makes me want to beat you that much more :)

Oh house hunting. Again, I will never understand how you can do so much since all it does it add more frustration for me!

I haven't exercised yet either! I swear my hours this month are SOOOOOO long....and I wake up sooooo early. If only I could count the billions of flights of stairs I have to run up daily, blah! I really need to put a pedometer on at work and see how much I walk!

Anyway, the Omega-3's should be aware.......the blue crew is going to give everyone some tough competition :)

Hi Kimberly

My baby probably would be confused...as my nursery will be pale yellow and pale blue REGARDLESS of gender. Because I spent 11 YEARS cross stitching a baby blanket in those colors, and by god, my kid WILL use it!

I really don’t think that babies are as influenced by colours as all that. The main thing is that both your baby and Amber's baby will know how loved and wanted he / she is and that is so much more important.

But after looking at your weigh ins for the last challenge, I'm inclined to think you're full of hooey!
Omega's Start Weight-- 168.6
Wk 1-- 168
Wk 2-- 165.4
Wk 3-- 164
Wk 4-- 164.6
Wk 5-- 162.6
Wk 6-- 161.4
End Weight-- 156.8
Total lost: 11.8lbs
Here's mine: Start: 227.5
222.5
222.5
222
223
220.5
220
End: 219 Total lost: 8.5lbs

While we both had one week where we gained, you lost far more weight than I--especially as the first 5lbs I lost was regained weight during the holidays. I suspect you'll last much longer in the SS challenge than I will. ;)

I am not so sure about your theory there. Looking at the same data again:

Omega's Start Weight-- 168.6
Wk 1-- 168 total loss 0.6 pounds
Wk 2-- 165.4 total loss 3.2 pounds
Wk 3-- 164 total loss 4.6 pounds
Wk 4-- 164.6 total loss 4.0 pounds
Wk 5-- 162.6 total loss 6.0 pounds
Wk 6-- 161.4 total loss 7.2 pounds
End Weight-- 156.8 total loss 11.8 pounds
Total lost: 11.8lbs
Here's mine: Start: 227.5
222.5 total loss 5.0 pounds
222.5 total loss 5.0 pounds
222 total loss 5.5 pounds
223 total loss 4.5 pounds
220.5 total loss 7.0 pounds
220 total loss 7.5 pounds
End: 219 Total lost: 8.5lbs

As you can see it was only the last week that my total lost to date was more than yours. In all of the previous weeks – if there had been eliminations based solely on weight loss so far with no bonuses – I would have been eliminated before you.

Dammit--we need to start PMing our strategies so everyone else doesn't get any ideas off us...lmao. :smilielol5:

Mental note made – we must start PMing our strategies. We could really freak out the other teams by putting little messages in the thread along the lines of – “Did you get the latest strategy PM? Are we all going to do that? The other teams will never think of that one!”. Clearly everyone is monitoring our thread! I am just making plenty of room in my PM box.:smilielol5::smilielol5::smilielol5:

Take care

Yes, but those 5lbs I lost the first week were holiday weight gain. I don't have that this time. If you subtract those 5lbs, I only lost 3.5lbs over the 7 weeks.

Yes, I have done the same...lol. :biggrinjester:

I am very aware of how competitive the teams are. Why else do you think we feel the need to strategize to the max? ;)

You should where a pedometer. You might want to count some of those steps as exercise. I haven't exercised yet today--and won't be able to until later tonight after my dad vacates the room where my bike is. That is one reason I can't wait to get my own place.

I don't have unlimited texting, so it would cost me a fortune if I did that..lol. Plus, I'm not a fan of it--too much trouble. I'd rather talk on the phone. :) I always watch TV while I'm on my bike.

Well, I listed another house today. This one's priced at $129,900. It's a modular on a walkout basement with a pole barn on 5 acres. I think it's priced very well, and should hopefully sell quickly.

It looks like H's car blew a head gasket. It did this about 2yrs ago, and we ended up having to put in a used engine. If the mechanic says it's gonna cost big $$, we'll just sell it and buy a new one. :banghead: There is no point in sinking a bunch of money into it when it's on its way out.

Weight was 221 today, and I'm eating higher cal today. Sunday and Monday will be low-cal days. to get my weight back to 219.

How do you work out having some days with higher cals and others with lower? I have read the stickied threads here, and am at a good calorie range, but I'm curious as to what your methods are so I can copy if I like haha!

I am definitely wearing a pedometer to work tomorrow.....it's a short day but I'm curious to see how much I walk! I wont count it as exercise for the challenges, however, because I want to keep pushing myself to go to the gym. I'm afraid that if I start counting those steps as exercise I'll have more than I need and then I'll get lazy to go to the gym, and I don't trust myself to get back into it when surgery is over!!!!!

Howdy Kimberly sorry about the car drama I feel ya,we have had mother N laws lil corolla for 2 weeks now cuz we waiting on out VAN to be done since the wreck when hubb hit a semi they said end of next week grrrr.
I am sure the weight will go back down in NO time we know the crazyness of the UPS and DOWNS....HAVE A NICE WEEKEND TAMMY

I am not trying to lose weight atm. I think my metabolism is messed up, b/c I was having to fight for every half pound loss. So I'm basically eating 2500 cals until my weight goes up 3lbs, then eating 1200-1400 for a day or two until it goes back down to 219 and repeating the process. This is supposed to boost my metabolism without me gaining a bunch of weight. :D I've been doing this for a little over a week now, and will continue for another week or two.

No exercise tonight. I'm too tired. It'll be an early night for me tonight.:sleeping:

Hi Kimberly

I hope that Sunday is going well for you - and you are coping on your low calorie restriction.

Sorry to hear about the expensive car problems - that kind of thing is never cheap.

You do enjoy rubbing in how much property people can get for their money over there. Five acres! I hope that you get it sold quickly.

Take care

H talked to the mechanic today, and he thinks it's only a head gasket and that he can fix it. However, the last time that car blew a head gasket, we ended up having to put a new engine in it. We will not be doing that again.

I hope you get your van back soon. We will just have to share a car for a few days at least. :ack2: Thanks for being soo sweet! :hug2:

Brandy--I did get a good night's sleep finally. I was asleep by 12:45am (1:45 w/the daylight savings change), and woke up at 9:45am.

Margaret--Land is fairly cheap here. One of the houses I'm interested in buying is listed for $79,900, and has just over 2 acres. It is an old farmhouse out in the sticks..lol.

Eating low-cal today hasn't been hard at all. I was out working from 11:30 until 6pm, so no way to eat anything. My calories will be under 1400 easily today. :) Still haven't eaten any cabbage, though. I think I'll make that soup tomorrow. And, I have to get some exercise in tonight. Weight was 223.5 today. :ack2: However, I am pretty confident that it will be under 222 tomorrow. :D

At the end of my open house this afternoon (not the house I just listed, the other one), I was just finishing a note to my sellers when they walked in. I ended up staying almost 2 more hrs talking to them. They are a very nice couple, and the husband is a Civil War buff like myself. He's got all kinds of CW goodies, and had to show them to me--I didn't mind. :D Especially as he loaned me a book, and gave me another. Very nice of him.

Kimmy, this sounds fun! I'm sure you'll have no problem eating more calories. There's nothing like a good excuse to eat ice cream. Today even, I bought these little cups of chocolate chip cookie dough with only 140 cals each. I'm SO EXCITED to eat one. I'll allow myself maybe two of these a week.

I hope you're having a good weekend!!

Sounds like you had a pretty good day today!

You haven't eaten any cabbage yet?! I guess you still have four days for the 5 cups so it's not too bad.....hopefully you have a good recipe ready so you can enjoy every bite of it :). I have already had about two cups!

Hi Kimberly

I know that you will get the cabbage eaten because your pride would never let you drop the points. I have had four cups of cabbage so far - so there will be no problems this end.

You are telling me that land is cheap there. One of my cousins has a house in Kent and he drops it regularly into the conversation that he has a couple of acres. House prices are so different there! Here - there can be a real status thing attached to having acres.

It was great that you had such an interesting conversation with the people who are selling that other house. It is always good when you meet people with similar interests.

Take care

car blew a head gasket

So, this penguin is driving down the road, and his car starts making the worst noises, and he starts to lose power. He sees a mechanic shop just up ahead, and manages to roll the car right up to the door. The mechanic takes a look at the engine, mutters something about "probably your gasket", and points the seal in the direction of the ice cream parlor next door to wait.

Well, the seal goes in and gets himself a nice big vanilla cone, and really enjoys himself. Sadly, the beak/flipper combo is HORRIBLE to eat ice cream with, and he gets it everywhere, the poor little guy. He sees the mechanic waving him over, so he gobbles down the last of the cone, and wobbles on back over to the mechanic shop.

When he gets there, the mechanic says "Lucky for you, it wasn't a gasket problem... heh... it just looks like you blew a seal."

"Oh," the penguin replies, "No, it's just a little ice cream"

Happy monday darlin. Get your car fixed.
