You know what? I tried giving up chocolate for Lent, as you well know. It didn't work though. I'm sorry to say I gave into temptation because I get crazily cranky around that TOM and I SUFFER from chocolate withdrawl...terribly. I would like it noted, however, that I went three weeks without touching Dark Chocolate. At least, I now know, it *can* be done....lol...

LOL! It's funny you mention this, b/c this afternoon I was reading my gran's Maxine calendar and she said, "Lent is the time of year when you give up something you enjoy. Lucky for me, I don't enjoy anything." :smilielol5:

I hope you're having a good Thursday Kimmy and that home hunting comes to a close soon. You'll have to tell us of your floor plan as soon as you find 'The Place'. And...for future reference, if you're painting the nursery a neutral color, yellow is *not* neutral, soley because no young boy or man *has* a yellow room....it's beside their color code of machismo, it's not manly enough. Just a tip...:)

I would never paint a nursery yellow..lol. Creamy, yes. It would probably be a nice shade of light green.

Sarah--I'm a Realtor, so don't worry, I know all about the art of price negotiation..lol ;)

Margaret--I expected to gain on 3300 cals, I'm not silly. :D Today was down to 220.5, so I'm eating around 2,000 cals today.

Angel & Cerella--Yeah, it seams like things are going really well for me atm--the 2 things I've wanted most recently are finally going to happen--hopefully. ;)

Rena--the exam went all right. 3 of the 4 sections were fairly easy. One was really tough, but I think I did ok. Whether or not I passed, I have no idea. It could go either way. We had 3hrs to finish the exam, but it only took me 2hrs. I won't know the results for another 8-10 weeks. :ack2: I find this annoying, b/c I'm impatient and want to know NOW!! :D

Hi Kimberly, I just found out that we are team mates in the "Summer Solstice Challenge". I have been browsing through your diary and you are a dynamo with the exercise! Your weight loss is wonderful. Keep it up! I can't wait to see the scales down next week for all of us. Talk to you soon!:cheers2:

Thanks for stopping by! You're weight loss is pretty impressive, too. :) Actually, my exercise hasn't been good at all this week. I've pretty much taken it off to give myself a rest. But I'll be kicking it back into gear starting tomorrow. :auto:

Exercise this week:
3/3—21 min exercise bike, 7 miles, weight: 220, calories: 2,546
03/04—None, weight: 220.5, calories: 3,300
3/5—None, weight: 222.5, calories: 1,284
3/6—None, weight: 220.5, calories: 2,626

I'm sure tomorrow will be a low-cal day. :biggrinjester:

Yey, Kimmy!! You're still down to 220. I can hear 219 knocking on the back door!! You wait and see, next week you'll report it's finally come through!

Creamy or light blue are great color options. Thank God you have great taste. At least your child won't be confused about its gender. Haha.

Is what I'm reading correct? That you cycle for 7 miles on your exercise bike? That's really pretty impressive, deary!

I hope you're having an awesome Friday!!

I can't recall did you say you were looking for a "Fixer-uper" to buy? Something you can get fairly cheap and put your own spin into it?? I like that kind of deal myself, that's if I have the extra cash flow to throw into a remodel job, they are a lot of fun, but I must admit patience and time have to be high priority in that kind of deal. So hows the baby making coming along? Have you started in on that as of yet?? It's always fun trying anyways, so why not! LOL LOL If I was 6 years younger and met my H then I would have loved to have another, but man I'm up there and well, my boys are grown and crap it just doesn't sounds as appealing as it used to, but I do miss that baby smell. HHHMMMM And currently I don't have enough patience for my dog/cat let alone a newborn, I wish I did. LOL LOL ask my H he'll contest to that statement, patience is not in my book, but I try believe me I do. lMAO!!! Well, hope your weigh in shows you some much needed love on the downward spirals and may you have a rockin weekend sweetness!
Hugs and love to you!
Kim

Yes, I'm sure it will! :D

I like the way you work! Very clever you and your team are!

I've never denied being devious. :biggrinjester: Weight was up to 222 today. So far it's been a very low-cal day.

Rae--Actually, I usually do more than 7 miles on the bike--more like 10-11 in 30 min. I've taken it easy this past week. Now that the challenge has started, I've got to kick it back into gear.

Re the baby room colors, well, I don't want to know the sex until it's born, so the nursery will be painted a neutral color--so there will be no pink or blue.

Twin--Yes, a fixer upper is what we are looking for. We want to fix it up and sell it quickly for a profit. That is the plan. I don't have much patience, either--except for my cat..lol. I baby the hell out of him, too. He is currently sitting on me while I'm typing this--doesn't make it easy to type, but I wouldn't want to disturb the Dommer. :biggrinjester: And, yes, we have tried a few times this week already. ;)

I knew it. You're having more late night fun than I am....:nopity:

Congrats on you and the Hubby having a  in the backroom. ;) I'd recommend you stop to look at the paint swatches...lol...

Yeah, it seams like things are going really well for me atm--the 2 things I've wanted most recently are finally going to happen--hopefully.

i'm happy for you beautiful! can't wait! you deserve it!

come on 219!!!!!

Hi Kimberly

I think that the truth is that the whole team is inclined towards being devious and freely admits it. We would never dream of breaking the rules - but boundaries are there to be stretched and loopholes carefully looked for.:biggrinjester:

Well done for maneouvering your weight to 222. I have every confidence that you will record an wonderful loss for next week in both our challenges. I notice that we are in the same team for Summer Solstice. Since there are no bonus points in that challenge - I fully expect to be among the first eliminated there.

I am not surprised that you plan to do the house out totally in neutral tones since you plan on selling almost immediately.

It sounds like your hubby is fully devoting his efforts to your other little project. How self-sacrificing of him!

Take care
Love
Margaret

My baby probably would be confused...as my nursery will be pale yellow and pale blue REGARDLESS of gender. Because I spent 11 YEARS cross stitching a baby blanket in those colors, and by god, my kid WILL use it!

LOL. This is great. Congrats on getting the blanket done!! Haha.

I knew it. You're having more late night fun than I am....:nopity:

All in good time, my dear. :) When I was your age, I wasn't engaging in any late night fun, either--well, not THAT kind anyway. ;)

Angel--219 is my low. Atm, I'm trying to boost my metabolism, not really lose weight. That's why my cals have been so high lately. Since my starting weight for both challenges was 222lbs, even if I don't get back to my lowest weight, I'll get pts for losing next week. This should help me out for a week or two and give me time to get the metabolism back to normal so I can really start losing again. :)

Margaret--see above for more examples of my deviousness. :D I, too, do not expect to be in the SS Challenge for long. I figure 3 weeks tops unless my weight starts moving again once I get my MR back on track. But after looking at your weigh ins for the last challenge, I'm inclined to think you're full of hooey!
Omega's Start Weight-- 168.6
Wk 1-- 168
Wk 2-- 165.4
Wk 3-- 164
Wk 4-- 164.6
Wk 5-- 162.6
Wk 6-- 161.4
End Weight-- 156.8
Total lost: 11.8lbs
Here's mine: Start: 227.5
222.5
222.5
222
223
220.5
220
End: 219 Total lost: 8.5lbs

While we both had one week where we gained, you lost far more weight than I--especially as the first 5lbs I lost was regained weight during the holidays. I suspect you'll last much longer in the SS challenge than I will. ;)

My baby probably would be confused...as my nursery will be pale yellow and pale blue REGARDLESS of gender. Because I spent 11 YEARS cross stitching a baby blanket in those colors, and by god, my kid WILL use it!

LMAO!! That's hilarious. I'm sure you will be thrilled to have a baby, regardless of gender. haha And, that will be one lucky baby to have you and Donald for parents. :) He/she can just deal with the colors...lol...not that babies are gonna be able to do anything about it anyway. :D

Haha good call on the high weigh-in....I weight a very small bit less today but used my weight from yesterday instead! Now when I lose all this water weight, I'll look like I worked my butt off all week ;).
