BikiniBound's Diary

Ha! I like the heatwave, as I'm from Montana, I can relate. I obviously haven't read the whole topic as I joined yesterday and am not that quick.. but from what I have read, you are doing awesome and you are really inspiring!

Thank you. :D It's hard work, but if you stick to it and stay disciplined, you can drop the weight, too. :)

Yeah, it wasn't warm this morning, though. I woke up (40min late bc I didn't set my damn alarm right) and the bedroom was freezing bc my dipshit husband left the window open 4inches all night long. It got down into the 20s overnight, and was only 30 degrees when I woke up. Needless to say, I was freezing my hooters off, and got dressed VERY quickly..haha. Then there was frost on my :auto:, so I had to wait for that to defrost--making me even later. So when I saw H later, I thanked him for leaving the window open. He said, "oh, is that why it was so cold this morning?":boxing:

Hi Kimberly

I thought that I would visit your diary.

Well done for that walk - averaging a 14 minute mile is really good going - I couldn’t do that. That is quick. :hurray:

I have to say that you need to educate your husband regarding the finer points of window closing. Effort spent educating husbands does pay off as you get older.

I do hope that you get a house soon. I am sure that (given your job) you are fully aware that they are often a really good investment. Most people find it a struggle to get on the housing ladder - but once there they are pleased that they have done so. The first step is the hardest. It is not unusual (although not guaranteed) for a house to go up in value by more than you pay in mortgage payments. When you come to sell (if this is the case) you effectively get all your mortgage money back and have lived rent free for however many years. Of course you often go and plough all the money into the next house. People often choose to move into more expensive homes in which case you do not really see that money. You can however choose to downsize at some point in the future and would then release some of that capital.

Take care
Love

Yes, I am completely aware of all the fine points you made, and frequently tell it to potential first time home buyers. Our problem is that it's much cheaper to live with my parents than to rent or buy. This is a huge issue between H and I. Things are not looking good for our marriage. I am pretty sure it's over. I cannot deal with his crap anymore. :)
