Bigreen goin to be Smallgreen?

Looks like I hit the 240's! Yay, now I can finally say I lost 30 pounds since June 1st, I must be doing something right :)

Pretty sweet, I'm in a pair of 38" shorts right now. I found them in my old clothing drawer. They fit perfectly ;)

June 1st I was wearing 42" pants :)

Ahhhhhhhh, I am so excited right now. I can just see myself getting thinner every week. This is so encouraging :)

I made a decision to do more cardio today. I'm going to do HIIT in the morning (because I don't last as long [30-35mins]and I can sleep a bit loinger :p) and doing my long distance in the evenings (50-70 minutes). Soooo starting tomorrow I'll be doing this. I feel as though I can be doing so much more. So this is what has brought me on to this.

Also I have decided to enter into a half marathon next summer and I need to train for it. I've never done this before so I am quite excited about it.

Anyway, ttyl

Thanks for visiting my diary. I appreciate the support.

I'm impressed with your exercise routine. I will try to draw inspiration from it and get my but in gear.

I hope you do, it's not perfect, but I like to push hard.

Now im on to two a days, I made a post in the club forum about it. It's not easy but if you get to a point where you want to do more, that's a way to do it.

Heh, for a sec I thought to myself I should quit trying to lose weight... lol as if I would do that!! I finally came to the realization that I will never quit. Such a good feeling. In fact, I am slowly realizing that once I reach my goal, I will just set new goals and keep going from there.

Ahhh it's nice to realise you have complete control over your life.

Got some resistence training in this morning. Tonight I have a hockey game so I won't be doing much else. I want to be fresh for the game.

great work so far man

Hey man just read through your journal great job since june crazy results. Nice on the guitar I been playing since I was 8 we will have to meet and jam the next time I come through that way on my way out west :)

Looks like a yamaha your playing but hard to tell from your av

Ahh cool, I'm still learning. I am having the hardest time with Barring. I can never get the second and third string to sound right. Got any tips? hehe

I'm using a Seagull and I love the sound so far. :)

I just finished my Two-A-Day today, I'm really lovin it :)

Yeah man Seagull's are great instruments amazing for the price.

For baring ok this may sound silly but when you hold the guitar with your left hand made sure only the top pad of your thumb is on the neck and push your wrist as far out in front of the neck as you possible can. It will feel wierd at first but will give you the leverage to make barring easier.

The good news is the soreness of learning to bar will go away and when it becomes natural you will love the options and what it adds to your chord choices.

wow, great tip!! Thank you so much. Are you self taught? That's what I am doing, just playing to play. I'm not sure if I should get a book or some lessons, at least to get me on the right track. What do you think?

Yes and No I am friend taught I lucked out and had many friends some of who are just unbeleivable guitar players. they would sit and jam with me for hours and show me little things along the way.

Any books are good and there is so many web sites now that you can use. My biggest recomendation would be to find the chords for the songs you like and play them over and over until your chord transitions are good then start learning some scales and a little theory. Don't be afraid of lessons either but here is a hint. GO to a bar see a band you like with a really good Guitar player and tell him you would like to take lessons and Jam with him this way you can turn a 30 min 10 dollar lesson into a 2 or 3 hr lesson for free. Another great tip is to have him come to your place and cook him dinner and feed him beers he will stay for hours and become your friend and then lessons of plenty :) Just don't drink along with him or else all your weight loss efforts will be thwarted.

Word of warning some musicians can drink way more then 10 dollars worth of beer in 30 mins in this case abort plan A :)

Nice advice man!!

Soooooo today I did my resistence training and 1 hour of cardio, feeling pretty good about it right now cause I was not in the mood to do it today but I still did and now it's a great feeling of accomplishment. ;)

Last night I played a game of hockey, it was great. We won 10-5, wow, a lot of goals. I play in a pretty competative league so it's high intensity. Whenever I play I usually lose a whole lot of weight.

Time for school. Later

I kind of fell off my own bandwagon these last two weeks. I gained 5 lbs but I already lost 3 of them so I'm not too worried. I guess I was a bit overwhelmed with all my schoolwork. I'm in my third year and they really put a lot of work on us.

wow. In the last two weeks I've written 3 essays (2 of them 1000 words and the third was 5000 words and it needed 20!!! refrences) I've had 4 quizes and next week I have 3 major mid term exams.

I'm starting to understand what I need to do to balance schoolwork and eating right and the fun fitness stuff. So that's why I'm back on track again. I'm glad I figured out how to manage my time a lot better. Now if I could only go to bed on time.

For some reason, even when I'm sleepy I just never feel like going to bed. I just stay up doing nothing for no reason. Has anyone ever done this? I have been doing it for the last week and it's aggrivating.

Anyway gotta study.

Well seeing I'm a broke student I went into the Nutrition department and they wanted subjects for a weight loss study so I figured, hay, I'm perfect. They would pay me 500$ and feed me for 3 months. I thought this would be perfect. I just needed to give a blood sample to make sure my Cholestoral was high and they made me run for as long as I could to test my fitness level.

Low and behold, my cholestoral was perfect and my fitness level was HIGH!!! I am about 70 Lbs overweight and I'm too fit to participate in this. They said I am well on my way to losing weight and they asked me what I was doing. haha.

Ohh well. I guess I'm a fat Fit guy.

Hey BIG you still out here man I was gone for a while with school and all just catching up on old friends wondering how you were doing
