Big Mac's Lifestyle Change

Heh, thanks Alta. It's great when you don't even really consider cardio time till you look up at the clock an hour later when you're all sweaty, haha. Lately when I get done playin ball I look like I got a bucket of water poured on me. I think all that water I drink makes me sweat more, or maybe I'm just crazy.
Hahaha....YOU know with basketball I think a lot of the sweating comes from the water, and intervals probably.....stopping, running, jumping, waving your hands around.....alllll of that....

...I notice meeee tooooooo, :iagree: I sweat a lot when I do intervals on the treadmill or on hills or anything....and If I drank a lot of water, one SWEAT, and two....BATHROOM!!! LOL

Or maybe a bit of both?? :D

Alta- That is so true. Basketball is pretty much interval training. Resistance too when you're posting up down low.

Amanda- Thanks, I'm crazy like a fox.

Paula- Nothin to see here :D. I actually cheated on my diet a bit over the weekend if that gives you any comfort. Back to buckling down and spankin those Hooters and Playmates!

Ha! I cheated too... but it was a fun weekend... and ya gotta enjoy life (and food) sometimes lol. ;)

PM Snack: whole wheat pretzels, lowfat cheese
Dinner: Leftover shish kabobs on wild & long grain rice w/ fiber

The gym was in between there. Did 20min of basketball, 30min on the elliptical HIIT, 45min bicep/shoulders/back

Great workout, hope the scale recognizes my hard work this week. I checked it out yesterday and i was up a pound to 300.6. I know how that goes and things will work themselves out by Saturday. Only motivates me to work harder and eat better. Goodnight friends. :D

Feeling good, still kind of tired. I haven't been getting enough sleep. Need to get to bed earlier. Hopefully weight loss and healing will occur with more sleep. My wrist and knee have really been hurting. Might be overdoing it in the gym. I don't want to stop and not go to the gym though.

It sucks when you are hurting.. It makes me not want to go to the gym.. Maybe you can just switch up your workout routine a little bit and try some low impact activities like swimming? I've never seen a 6'7'' swimmer before! Its good to mix it up so you aren't overdoing it.. Basketball can be hard on the joints!

I know what you mean, I still really want to go but I really want to heal as well. It's a catch-22, want to work out and lose weight, to do that effectively I need to rest and heal, resting and healing doesn't result in weight loss. What a paradox I find myself in. Swimming would be good but I don't feel it gives me a good workout. I think that Michael Phelps guy in the olympics is like 6'4" or something. Size 16 shoes are basiclly built in flippers, I'm a pretty fast swimmer. The swimming is hurting my wrist too though. The next two days are legs and core. So I think I can focus on workouts that limit the involvement of knee and wrist. The elliptical is also good for low impact on the knees, might lay off the basketball and do elliptical/swimming for a few days. Thanks for stoppin by Christen! :D

Oh really!?! Well maybe since you have so much energy I should try the Amanda diet. Let me get this right, I binge on the weekend, start a detox but don't go through with it, then go back to eating healthy? Kidding hon :D. I just need to go to bed earlier, 6 hours isn't enough.

You would be surprised at how good a workout swimming is. Really good for your lungs, too. Try to keep the impact low. You don't want a real injury now. That will really set you back. Even with the weight training. Try going for lower weights and more reps. Less strain on the joints but still a good muscular workout.

I'll do it Trops. I'm only 2min from the lake. A swim after my workout actually sounds really good. That in mind I might do core instead of legs today. Don't wanna swim with exhausted noodle legs and take the chance of cramping up.

Damn! If I get 6 it's really doing well. Usually it's 5 but when I'm working the midnights its 3-4. Oh, to have 6 blessed hours of sleep.

Hahah, oh sure... make me feel like an a-hole. I used to get 10hrs a night. That was great. Oh the joy of being single without kids. :D I fully understand there are joys on that side as well, I'm just happy with where I am at the moment. :coolgleamA:

Oh, it's not the kids that keep me up. The kids are older, 8 and 6. They sleep through the night. Usually it's the job or just that I have too much going on to sleep.
