again warning from personal experience....I thought I could self diagnose too with what seemed like something minor and turned into something bigger but if you have history of injury in that knee and it's stopping you from going about your routines you should get a dr's opinion
 
Haha, didn't mean it to come across that way if it did Amanda. I'm kinda bitter toward the Canadian health care system. My grandfater passed away about two years ago, I just felt that a lot more could have been done if it wasn't for all the waiting. I've researched it and others have had the same problems.

Trops, I hope this isn't taken the wrong way... every time I see a water aerobics class at the gym its old fat ladies. I don't think I've ever seen someone in shape in those classes.

HAHAHAHA...you kill me. That is so funny!! It's so true though. I've only ever seen old people in those classes. I don't think I could do it either. I'm really itching to pick up swimming though because I want to do a triathlon in 2009. I'll start off w/a sprint or olympic and work my way up to a 1/2 iron. I have the running down but I need to really work on the biking and swimming.

I always hear how great swimming is...especially when you have injuries in your legs. I've had to slow it way down this week because of my shin splints. My damn shoes were too old and w/the amount of running I do I quickly injured myself after a few long runs on shitty shoes. So I did a lot of elliptical and walking this week instead of running. But my coach said I should swim...just need to find a way to do that. I don't have a gym membership but here at work there is a full gym and 2 endless pools that I can use after I become perm on the 28th.

Anyway, enough about me. Take care of that knee mister...nothing is worse that hurting when you are trying to get your groove on in the gym!!
 
Ugh! I know, this knee injury is a pain in the.... knee. It sucks, I miss my "hardcore" workouts. All I've been able to do is swim and walk. I bought some reistance bands too so I can work with those. I want to look up those football water workouts.
 
Spartans rocked it again this week! Hopefully we keep it rollin.

Breakfast: FiberOne w/ 1% milk
Lunch: Grilled chicken, sweet potato fries
Dinner: Grilled chicken w/ wild and long grain rice

Went swimming and used resistance bands both yesterday and today! I've also been doing a lot of stretching. I needed to both for my own personal health, and for the bonus points. :D

You guys did awesome this week! AGAIN. :rolleyes: EVENTUALLY the hooters are gonna take first and never get out, so be waiting! :D

Today's food.

Breakfast: FiberOne Raisin Cluster w/ 1% milk
AM Snack: FiberOne Peach Yogurt, a few almonds
Lunch: I'm thinkin grilled chicken with rice and a side salad

Haha, bring it on girl. You can't mess with the Spartans. We're smashing pounds and taking names. You'll have to work extra hard and be very picky about what you eat to catch up with us.
 
Hey Shaun! Good job last week! Keep it up! I'll be checkin' in on ya from time to time and I wanna see some serious poundage loss from ya! Take care of that knee... :)
 
Had a grilled chicken salad for dinner yesterday, was pretty good. Been working out in the water still. I think even once I'm back to 100% I'm gonna do water workouts a couple days a week. Easy on the joints and if you do it with some enthusiasm and be creative you can definitely get your heart goin.
