Congrats on the weight loss, keep up the good work. You're doing really great. That eliptical must be doing you a lot of good. Maybe I should get one instead of a bike.:biggrinjester:

SD - I found a great low cal book from Ottakers which are based in most towns / citys. It's called 101 Low-Fat Feasts and Published by the BBC of all places. Tried about 10 dishes so far and rated them out of 20 and most are getting 15+.
Also my wife is suffering from PND and the effects of it so there's a little stress in my life so that is probably helping too. But don't worry it's not too much stress.

I'm actually now comftable wearing clothes again and my belt is today now on the lowest it has been for a year. :) I am going to update my first post on my diary to include measurements of my body.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Big-John

Don't worry I guess next week won't be like the one I've just had. Will probably get about 2lb and that's it.

Well today I've weighed myself again and I'm still dropping which is good news. I'm pretty convinced that I'm going to hit a brick wall soon. Today I have moved another notch on my belt it only feels very slightly tight but still comftable. I have not been at this point for a very long time, just one more hole to notch up then I'm gonna have fun putting some more in.
I'm at work at the moment but I have some jeans at home I haven't been able to wear in a long time. Maybe just maybe I will fit in to these now ?

Nice work BigJohn. You're so far ahead of me. I'm trying though, did 50min of cardio and 40min of weight training yesterday.

Shaun,

Like I said before It's the other way around. Yiu have lost xx pund at the moment and I have only lost xx. Just keep going because I'm going to catch you up.

I'm starting to feel I have more energy now and also want to do make things better with the rest of my body. I'm doing kegel exersizes, and want to start doing yoga too. My wife teaches yoga but I feel i need to be more supple first. Maybe need to loose a bit more before I start.

BigJohn, I may have lost more pounds overall, but I want to be in the 280s! I was doing lunges the other day with a 25lb dumbell in each hand. I thought to myself, "I used to cary this much weight around with me all the time, no wonder I was always so lazy and tired". I feel lighter on my feet every day... if that makes sense. Good work thus far John, can't wait to see the results on your next weigh-in.

Shaun, i know where you are coming from with the "Carrying your weight issue". As you probably know i walk 8 mile a day in 2 halfs. One early morninga nd one late afternoon. When I hit the 280's which is not far away for me I'm considering taking a back pack with the weight difference of what I used to be. Hopefully from there on every 14lb / stone i loose I want to carry the same weight when I was 308 lb.

Also when I hit below 279 and below this will be the start of something special for me as I haven't been this low in many years. Can't wait. I'm starting to get used to the eliptical the first few routines were so much sweating going on but now It seems to have calmed down. Another 2 weeks then I'll go to the next workout.

Anyway your not doing too bad either. Keep eating rabbit stew Mr Spartan :)

Well .... What can I say mark this down as another good day. I'm nearly reaching a milestone in my weight and I feel a lot better as I have been recently. And on a personal note I've reached a kind of a higher level with mny wife that I never would of thought possible. Maybe this is an effect of the weightloss / diet ? Who knows I just feel like I'm walk on cloud nine at the moment and if I still hit a brick will with the weight loss I'm pretty determined to smash through it.

SD -
It looks ever more like so that I'm going to hit my 18 Stone (252 lb) mark before September 13th where it's one of my best friends wedding. Can't wait to get suited up and looking good. Some people will be in for a suprise. Most of them haven't seen me since I was peaking at 23 stone (322 lb) so it would look like I had lost 5 Stone (70lb).

Brilliant weight loss, keep going for the 18 stone goal. You will have to post some pics of you all suited and booted for comparison with your earlier ones. BTW if you are going to carry all the wight you have lost when you go on your walks, I think you may need to invest in a wheel barrow not a back pack.:smilielol5:

Everything is on hold at the moment. Our 19 week old son Matthew was rushed to hospital yet again but this time with a chest infection. I'm still trying to loose weight but other things are obviously more important. As soon as he's out it's a case of burning the cals again. I'm still managing to do some walking but not the full burnout.

Well on friday I had lost 6 lb this week, weighed myself this morning and gone up 3 lb. So it's just 3 lb this week. Still good to loose but feeling a bit slightly down that 3 lb went back on. hmmmmmm
