Too low sugar level:

My sugar is too low ..
wierd...
I took the metaformin like I was supposed to ..hmm
maybe I only need one metaformin a day ..because the exercise is starting to make my body work correctly .. I think I may just take one tomorrow and as follows and talk to my doctor ...

I will report back and see how it goes .. I feel BAD because of low blood sugar ... I am drinking sweetened rasp tea ...with water mixed in ...so I don't get a sugar rush ..but I need to get my sugar up pronto ...

Hi NJ; when my blood sugar is low (I've got a touch of hypoglycemia) I eat some protein. Do you have little bits of cut up cheese in the fridge, some boiled eggs, or tuna with mayo on whole wheat crackers. Are you getting enough protein with each meal? I'm glad to see so many posters in your diary...I've been a bit out of the loop but hope to get to my favorite diaries more often, your's included. Have a great Wednesday doll.

My sugar level is now stable...
but I will remember the crackers and cheese... I think you were correct on that 2Skinny! And hey back for writing in my diary. I always want to write in your diary, but it is constantly moving and I can't keep up. I know it sounds wierd. lol

I plan to do ten sprints today. I only did four last time. I am just going to keep on-a building up! :) and I am feeling better, a little hungry, maybe I should eat ..hmm ..I guess I could have a small bowl of cereal ... yea...

Well guys .. its been quite a night and day ..so far ...and its only 8:52 in the morning .. I woke up early and started with ice water.. we do have cheese in the fridge .. apricot cheese!! from Trader Joes... lol should be good ... it crumbles .. I eat a few bites and put it back .. I am savoring it and it should help with the blood sugar... like said ... mom did say something about protein ...

anyway .. I plan to take a good walk today .... I will try to walk as fast as I can and try to keep my pulse rising ...but not overwork .. but I don't know how you could overwork it when you are just walking ..
Going to hopefully go on a bike ride ..haven't been going, because I have been focusing on the walking. Getting stronger, losing weight by walking. Bikes only work on your legs and the lower part of my legs are looking healthy and skinny, but I need to keep it up, but I am going to keep walking for now and add bike rides in a couple days a week ...

Going to call the library tomorrow and set up Monday as my volunteer day to build a resume for my "career" lol I want to be a librarian .. lol I love the thought of being surrounded by all the books ..so much poetry and what not ..absolutely love literature!

Well anyway

When I was pregnant i had low blood sugar and was told to always eat a piece of protein with any carbohydrade. is, if I ate an apple, i also had to eat a piece of cheese or something, It really worked!!!


good luck on your sprints today. I think I'm going to do the bike today. Maybe something more too as I added on 7 pounds this weekend. :(

You can do it hun! I am going to take my walk later. I just ate some blueberries for a snack
I ate cereal this morning, a small bowl, with "I'm sorry!", lots of skim milk ..lmao

Calcium builds your bones.
I think I may start taking a calcium pill, because I broke my medacarpals last summer and they need to be thick, the bones, they are held together by two nails ... interesting heh... plus I had Juvenile Rheumatiod Arthritis, which is now an onset of Rh. Arthritis. So as a woman with all these conditions, I need to make sure my bone density is very good ..so thus .. calcium kick... It pays when you are going through the "change" of life ...

but anyway ..so thats what I have ate today,
and I had an ice coffee with skim milk, four swnlow, and light ice. It ended up being too dark, not enough skim milk... I hate strong coffee! So I threw out half of it... I know ..."What a waste!" But I shall only take sip next time and take it back and complain.....

Thats it for today...
I bought yoplait yogurts, whipped, for my night snack. I can only eat one yogurt a day, so I eat it in the evening, because I can't take more than one in because of my sugar pre diabeties... u know...
so one yogurt is good at night, instead of a whole bowl of cereal... no binging for me ...gained a eight oz. Back up to 295.2 .. yes .. I am counting ...lmao ...

now because of the increase in oz .. I am watching my diet more... just like all of you smart and witty people ... You all are so Freaking Awesome!

You rock!!!

update for today!

Ok... so I lacked a lot of motivation today, but I ate my three hot dogs "yea .. you heard right! lmao" ... that was all that was lunchy in the house. We need to buy some turkey meat and swiss cheese ...so I am stuck until a few days from now. But I am refusing to eat the hot dogs ..

going tomorrow to get a sandwich at Starbucks ...
Turkey with swiss on this incredibly multi grain bread .. I mean this bread is as multigrain as you can get ...lol You are actually chewing on the grains! lmao
but it tastes good ..and I am just going to stick with my water... and rasp tea ... since I dropped my sugar level down ..the rasp tea is part tea with sugar, mostly water ..so its a good mix ... I am ready now to take on more of the day ...my stomach settled .. I had five no sugar cracker, whole grain too ..fiber is very good with my sugar diabeties... and yes 2Skinny I ate five slices, some chunky of garden jack cheese. So I have done pretty good so far ... I am keeping track of my food now, now that my sugar diabeties is starting to disappear ...gooooddy ... getting healthier everyone ...
My sister may join the site... so that is good .. I'm glad she is ...she is a stocky person and has some weight, but she will do well with all the support from all of you and more!

Anyway ... I am leaving for a walk in ten minutes and will be back .. I don't know when ...lol Probably forty five minutes ...my sister wants to take a "jaunt" I plan to do ten sprints later to raise my heart rate ..if I can do more sprints than that I will ...but my first goal is ten ...

You're quite a walker! I'm tryin' to keep up. Its nice to try to keep up with someone else's pace. It gives me a goal to work towards...

To me, weightloss is kind of an arbitrary thing.. sort of an abstract like the proverbial carrot being dangled in my face. As soon as I realize I can't get the carrot immediately, my attention turns to other things.

Ha ha, no it doesn't sound weird. You're right, my diary is all over the place. Someone could pop by and write whatever they want to me in my diary including Hey! You're a goof! and it would make me laugh, so don't worry about keeping up with whatever crisis I happen to be talking about that day. LOL

Glad you are taking care of that blood sugar. I had a touch of it today before my yoga class, so I had 2 pieces of cheese and a couple little pepperoni sticks. Worked like a charm.
 
Hey hey! I've been reading through your diary here for a few days now, and I think it's wonderful everything you've been doin'. That, and you seem like a rather upbeat and fun person. =)
 
I'm glad your feeling better. You're doing so great with your walking and sprints. Before you know it you'll be used to the 10 sprints. Its great that your getting your sister to join you on walks ... company always helps. You're doing great with your food too. Keep it up... getting the right food in the house really helps... I got rid of all the junk... my b/f keeps complaining and I just ignore it!

Sorry to keep repeating this but glad your blood sugar is back top normal and keep nibbling on that cheese dont want it dropping again!!
So how are the sprints coming along? are you getting cloaser to the 10?
Getting your sister to join you would be good for both of you, you could do a weekly weigh in and see who has lost the most that week almost a competition keeps you both motivated.
I have decided every 1lb i loose i will put £2 in a jar and start saving for all my new clothes!

Hey everyone!
I missed you all this weekend. I don't know where I was, but I was not in a happy place... lol ...
I went out Thursday night to karaoke, and I felt strange with out Alex. lol It nothing like your first night out and being single. Its like you have lost the other hip that was connected to you ... lol ..it was ..so wierd for me.. I have never felt so ...alone, but I felt great by the end of the night.

I looked good in one of my old dress up shirts. But the other ones don't fit me yet. So for my appreciation day to myself for working so hard, I bought two new dress shirts for going out. We went out on a night most people are nice out on ... The karaoke place was packed with really nice people. Saturday is usually packed with a meat market production of people, and I hate that, because anyone overweight they look at like wierdos. ..lol So I don't like that. The girls laugh, the skinny minnies who prob don't eat ..etc ... lol

So we went on Thursday .. I felt good at the end of the night and didn't want to leave, but I had tooooo ...lol

but fourth of July was blah ... BUT I HOPE EVERYONE ELSE HAD A GREAT FORTH OF JULY!!!!!!

But also I haven't been taken many walks over the last few days .. I have been at my mom's work .. I didn't feel like being at home ...lol but today I am tired of not walking ..so I am going out for hopefully a 45 minutes to 55 minute walk ...should be interesting how I am going to make this walk hard and long! lol

but I will!!!

I am down to 294.0 ... which is good ...so one pound less and I know its going to stay off ...:)

but anyway ..
thanks for everyone replying in my thread, hope to swap stories with you soon .. I will come around and check out your diaries ..

Hey all ..

So I did forty minutes of walking
and seven miles on the bike ...
I didn't have an easy time of it.. it was harder to walk ..because I have not walked for days or biked ... it was harder all the way around ...a good sign I need to do this just about everyday! lol

so that tis what I am going to do .. I must stay active ... I'm thinking of setting up a tennis court in the back with a net and some rackets and balls .. I think it would be fun for my sister and I ...we would be running and chasing that ball everywhere! lol

kind of upset my legs ..especially my foot hurt .. they hurt so horribly ...but I pushed myself to continue on my walk ...

well I hope everyone else is having a good time!

Hi NJ. Have you been enjoying some of the other diaries? There's some folks here who've lost a lot of weight and their diaries are incredibly interesting to read.

Your diary is very motivational- you've made some really fantastic changes.

What really motivates me to work out is pump up music, I listen to Bands like Jet, Pink, and the White Stripes. I also like to reward myself when I've reached a goal by buying work out clothes which tends to motivate me even more to work out because I want to wear them!!

As a recent college graduate I totally know the stress of class- It's how I gained a lot of weight.

I also can relate to not having any good "meal foods" in the house and resorting to unhealthy foods. Now I try to always have almonds, cut up veggies (Broccoli, carrots, peppers), and some cut up fruit (I love watermelon) around so I can snack on those- to curb my hunger until I can get to the supermarket.

Keep up the AMAZING WORK
