Hey Bep... sorry you are still feeling crummy.. :( So I called the question hotline for Vicks to see what the calories were in DayQuil & NyQuil. The woman said that the LiquiCaps have 5 calories per serving for each. :) Anyway, hope you feel better soon!

Awe...that was sweet of you to call them! I am taking the liquid versions. Ya know, you would think that they would have to put calories on those things.

You inspired me for a new twist to my diet if-n-when I get the sniffles, I'm gonna use NyQuil for my salad dressing !!! :p

I'll let ya know how that goes :D

Sorry your feeling sick!

Hope you feel better soon, I have had the runny nost chest crap 2 weeks Saturday and vaporizer and vics rub isn't working I guess it has to run it's course and top it off I have a fever blister right under my nose(weird spot)!
I feel embarassed when I walk up the hills here where I live and people are out and I start chocking but it's not because I am out of breath it gets that stuff going in my chest!
Anyway congrats on being strong and get better soon.:) Tammy

ugh, I'm beginning to feel guilty. It seems my head cold is spreading throughout the forum. It's been like 2 weeks for me and counting now....

Ham on 12 grain bread (Romaine lettuce, tomato, red onion, light miracle whip, mustard) (250)

Snack:
Granola bar & a few cherry tomatoes (135)

DayQuil :p

Dinner:
Chicken breast & green beans (300)

Snack:
2 small choc chip cookies, 3 Hershey’s kisses (200)

Snack:
Baked Tostitos, salsa, & ff sour cream (300)

NyQuil :p

Total cals: 1,365 + DayQuil & NyQuil

I haven't been around here in a while and I'm just trying to catch up on some diaries! So I thought I would peek in to say hello!

From what I can tell you haven't been feeling to well. I hope you are feeling better soon.
 
It's spreading through the forum--oh no!

*puts on mask and gloves and sprays lysol everywhere* I can't get sick!!

BEP: Whenever I start in a new school, that year is the worst for me for illness. Last year I used every single sick day they gave me and 2 of my personal days because I was so wretchedly sick. Just so you know, that I had 12 sick days, so yes, last year I was miserably ill for 14 days--and that doesn't count the days that I just stuck it out at school. I'm hoping that I'll be ok this year. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that you're not the only one who gets sick a lot--we can be sick buddies. :)

Kaitie...thanks for the tissues...I hope they are PUFFs Plus....my nose is getting really sore. :p

I have a family of 4 coming in tonight and staying with me until Tuesday...I normally cook and bake up a storm and try to make sure everything is perfect for company. This time, the house is clean, a single pie is baked, a couple dozen cookies baked, and I am going to do REALLY simple meals since I feel so cruddy I am basically in what I call 'survival mode'. Just doing enough to get by. I hope I still have a good time despite this whole thing. :p I am supposed to be at a huge picnic this Saturday so I am hoping I am good enough to go...but I have a nasty track record of looooooooong respiratory illnesses. They usually develope into a sinus infection or bronchitus. :p Let's hope this time I luck out a little. The weather is too stinkin' nice to be stuck inside feeling miserable!

Being sick is not at all fun (just in case you all didn't know that). :p
 
Take some echinecea...however you spell it. It will reduce your recovery time some. That and zinc drops. I am dead serious.
