yeah definatly not bad, under 1% of the population of the US can bench their body weight 10 times, so if you can do that, you're doing great.

180 bench. That's repping 160 5 times or so. I'm not much for a one rep max. Slimburnzy and XtrmBaller, awesome job. The strongest guy I know round my age is in the 180 lb range and can do just about as much as you, Slimburnz. Baller, you're definately no slouch, lol.

thanx for the comment LeiYunFat , i do my best hahaha... i amaze myself sometimes , i didnt think someone as thin as me could bench that much. i should probably give benching a bit more of a break while im working on my arms , i still got skinny arms

Well I saw your pics in the picture gallery, and I was pretty amazed if I do say so myself. The 180 lb guy I know that can bench what you can (if not a less) looks like he is a person growing out of two pecs, lol. I have to agree that you don't look like a 290 bencher but it's what's on the inside that counts, and what on the inside is dense, dense muscle, hahahha. Great job.

bench press

i was wondering what the difference between flat and incline bench is. iam benching about 110 lbs on incline and flat. which one would you most benifit from the most? Incline or Flat?

Flat works more central/lower pectoral area, while incline focuses on the upper region of the pectoral muscle. That's not to say that either exercise isolates one area, but certain angles hit certain areas harder than others. Flat bench uses more triceps, while incline uses more anterior deltiods.

I find incline to be a really inefficient exercise for me because my back always arches. Anyone else like that? I usually stick to decline and flat benching.

My max bench is 140 but i haven't tried in awhile. im 18 and weigh 140. For benching i normally am laying flat on the bench. Recently I feel like my back is arching a lil more but i see some bending like nuts. Do you think I could bench more if I try to arch my back a moderate amount?

When I was in peak shape I was 18. 5'10'' 155lbs and Maxed 275lbs once. Now I'm about 175 and haven't tried maxing in forever but I can probably do 250.

143-165lbs for 6-8 reps, 5sets
(65-75Kg)

most ever 1 rep max was 230lbs (105Kg)

im 21
weigh 135lbs - 61Kg - 9.5stone
5'7"

I think we should start a comp, see who can lift the most, minus there own body weight.

I start with +95lbs

1rep max 230lbs
weight (at time of lift) 135lbs
230-135=95lbs

When me and my friends have a competition we do the 1RM/bodyweight
so if you weighed 200, and benched 400 your number would be 2 (the highest number wins!! and yeah you gotta go into decimals, but this keeps it more fair than just max - weight) Anyways im out, i only do dbs now!
