A 4.4lb loss in one week is awesome!! :party: Congrats!

I hope Gil sticks to his plans b/c it sure is a lot easier when your spouse is on board and supportive--not to mention it will be great for his health if he loses some weight, too. :D

Your kids can't wait to go back to school, and my H is annoyed that he has to go back to work on Monday..lol. He has really enjoyed being able to sleep in over the break.

I was hoping to get to Indiana during this break, but the move in and weather didn't cooperate too well. :(

What a GREAT loss!

:party:

Congrat's Doll!

My start day is Tuesday..(to go along with the new season of BL)

I'm pretty scared to weigh in..lol

You're doin' super!

Happy New Year!

Accountablity Day 9

1 cup Fiber One cereal
1/2 cup skim milk
small coffee at church w/ 2 creamer packets
average sized salad with Sunday dinner (lettuce, peppers, tom's, sunflower seeds, poppyseed dressing)
(guessing) about 4-5 maybe 6oz of beef roast
large helping of baby carrots and small helping of potatos (from roast)
2 bisquick biscuits (which when figured up came to 94 cals each)
NO PIE!!! even though MIL brought it, I said no, No, NO!!! Everytime she asked.
One of hubbys lattes that he makes (about 1/4 cup of whole milk w/ a touch of the Italian Sweet Cream)
Rest of the left over salad from dinner (see above)
4 Kashi Crackers
1 lite swiss Laughing Cow Cheese wedge
1 yogurt cup of GV plain yogurt
1/2 serving (14g) of protein powder
100oz water
no exercise

Since I had no time yesterday to get online I just really cut back on eating. Not wanting to go over the cals and all. Probably could have had more but honestly after eating all the food at lunch I was pretty much stuffed for most of the rest of the day.

Really proud of myself. :biggrinjester:
I stuck to the drinking 100oz of water thing all weekend at work. Even though it meant I had to pee ALL THE TIME!!! LOL And I am not kidding on that one.
I counted it up on Saturday..........17x's!!! :eek: In 9 hours!!! hahaha
My boss at work was cracking me up because I had to keep coming outta the freezer to go use the restroom. At one point he asked me what my problem was. I was like "nothing just gotta go to the restroom." He looked at me funny so I said "I've been drinking alot of water, that I was shooting for 100oz a day."
He comes back with "whatcha trying to do.........cleanse your colon or something!?"
Weighed in this morning at 204.4!!!:hurray:
Which is another 2.2 pounds down on the ol' ticker! :party:
So now the grand total since the 27th of Dec (which has been 10 days now) is 6.6 pounds lost!!! Which works out to being a little over a 1/2 pound a day!!!! I am stunned.....and all of that with no formal exercise yet.
I can only see great things from this week since I plan to get back into my old routine as much as possible starting tomorrow. Though I am hoping to get to my PowerCore class (that I use to take all the time) tonight.
Would be awesome to have lost 10#'s by Saturday. Seems like I am on track to get it done.
I feel like I have that old motivation back. The Resolve of Steel.
I can actually see myself getting back to my low weight of 184 and surpassing it. I can't wait.

Thanks!

Well I am pretty sure that he isn't sticking to it. Wish he was. One day in and he had already gone to Dairy Queen with the kids. I keep telling him that the way he goes about it is not healthy but he doesn't listen to me. Says he knows what he is doing. But you know, I am not going to let his journey effect mine. I finally got mine back on track. The best that I can hope for his he will see how well I am doing and decide to get back into the game in a healthy way.

Your kids can't wait to go back to school, and my H is annoyed that he has to go back to work on Monday..lol. He has really enjoyed being able to sleep in over the break.

Trust me I am right there with David. As much as I couldn't wait for the kids to get back to school I wasn't looking forward to getting up early in the morning again. Last week we slept in 'til almost 9 everyday!

I was hoping to get to Indiana during this break, but the move in and weather didn't cooperate too well. :(

I was bummed you couldn't get here either, but maybe once this weather settles down a bit we can meet 1/2 way or something. Say K-Zoo. I know it is a bit more than 1/2 for me but would be okay.
Think about it and let me know.

What a GREAT loss!

:party:

Congrat's Doll!

Thank You, Thank You Very Much! LOL

My start day is Tuesday..(to go along with the new season of BL)
I can't wait either. Except this year I will only be able to see the 1st hour then I have to go to bed since I have to be up at 3:45 in the morning.

I'm pretty scared to weigh in..lol
I know you are. I was too. But that's the first step and once you know where you are starting from you can figure out where you are going. I know you can do it!

You're doin' super!

Happy New Year!

:grouphug:

Thanks Again for all your support!!
Your Super too!!!
LOL

Made it to Power Core.
Wasn't nearly as bad as I feared but was not easy by any stretch.
Gotta love Kelly.
She was mother-henning me big time even made a general announcement to the class about why I had been gone for such a long time. I thought that was generous of her since she knows that I loathe NOT doing something while everyone else is. She knows me well enough to know that I would just keep doing whatever so as to not look like a quitter.
Will check in a bit later.
Gotta go give a tubby to one very stinky little boy! LOL
UPDATE
Gotta love giving baths to boys better than girls. Takes like 1/2 the time.
Back to class.
I got there a bit late so missed out on the push-ups, which I most likely would not have done anyway. Also did not do the tricep dips. I don't know that I will ever do those again. I am sure that there is some other exercise that I can do that will get me the same effects without my putting all my body weight on my shoulders.
Hoping to get on the fit still tonight. Will all depend on if Gil will watch TV in the bedroom.
Well again I got to go. This time for good.
Time to pray with the kids and get them all tucked into bed.
Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Thought for the day
Up until about 10am my day was going great. I then had to shuttle my mother over to her apartment so that the home health nurse could check it out to see if it would be safe for her to come home.
Mom was to put it bluntly a little bit ouchy. And took it all out on me. Which in turn totally stressed me out and sent me snackin'..
Gotta get this emotional eating thing under control.

Accountability Day 12

Today I really blew it :(
More stress from mom. Guess she figures she can just take her bad attitude out on me. Well after today and the way she made me feel and the after effect of eating, eating, eating........no more.
I will be letting her know that I won't be treated that way anymore. I am not her doormat. I am only ever trying to help her and she only ever sees it as me trying to boss/interfere.
~~~~~~~~~~
1 serv FiberOne Cereal
1/2 cup skim milk
1 4oz banana
1 whole wheat low carb tortilla
1 serv eggbeaters
1/2 serv of shredded cheese (14g)
1 tbsp salsa
*here's where it gets ugly*
9 servings of Gourmet Croutons, in fact I ate up the whole bag of 'em
1 plain GV yogurt cup
1/2 serving chocolate protein powder
1 York Peppermint patty *Really wanted a much bigger candy bar, but held back*
1 McD's hamburger
2 chicken tenders from the WalMart Deli
4oz of Broccoli Salad again from the Deli
2 Little Debbie Cosmic Brownies
1 20oz Diet Cherry Pepsi
~~~~~~~~
It may not be as bad as I think as I have not plugged all the food in over at the dailyplate. But even if the numbers come out even close to okay I feel awful for letting my mother's treatment of me get to me so badly.
I even texted my hubby telling him that I could just feel the urge to eat junk food. He texted back that I needed to stay away from the dark forces. "He's a huge Star Wars fan."
And that did help for a time. At least for the first onslaught. The second one was the one that broke this camel's back.
I HAVE to get back on track tomorrow or I fear I never will.
I WILL NOT ALLOW MY MOTHER TO MAKE ME FEEL THIS WAY EVER AGAIN. I WILL NOT ALLOW HER TREATMENT OF ME TO LET ME SPIRAL OUT OF CONTROL EVER AGAIN. I WORKED TO HARD FOR 10 DAYS AND LOST 6.6 POUNDS IN THAT TIME TO LET HER NEGATIVITY DESTROY ALL MY TRIUMPH.
I will GET BACK on track!!!
I can still see me getting back down to that 184 that I was in the Spring of '08. I can do this. I will do this. For me.

:toetap05:Watch out for the emotional eating... Stress will do a number on you...

Coming by to congratulate you on doing so well on being accountable. I promise I will not lose track of what we talked about even though I ended up getting sucked into the challenge I'm in now. Imma be busy fo sho..

But, I promise I'll be by... :hug2:

Thanks Karl.
I really needed to hear that again.
I "knew" that you would be there for me, but sure does feel good to hear it confirmed again.........ya know?
Somewhere I heard/read this:
It's not how many times you get knocked down, but how many times you get back up that matters.I think I am going to make that my new motto.

First off I don't expect anyone to actually read this. I just really needed to get this off my chest or my head was going to pop. If you do read this please don't think that I dislike my mother in anyway shape or form. I love her dearly. Just I no longer have the patience for the games that she keeps playing.
Like the saying goes:
Once bitten shame on you, twice bitten shame on me.
I just felt that since this has such a negative effect on me that by getting it down on "cyber paper" and out of my head would be a healing of sorts.
Okay proceed if you wish.

:rant:
Well Mom's at it again.......already not even 12 hours since she was at the facility that she was having her therapy.
I called her to see how she was doing and suddenly, just like that, her kidney's are hurting and she says she has a yeast infection under one of her breasts. :confused:
Of course when I put it right to her "the pain wasn't that bad" only maybe a 5 on a 1-10 scale. And her so called infection, well she did say that she had some medicine cream that she could put on that.
I asked her point blank what she wanted me to do for her. I said, " Do you want to go to the hospital or the doctor's office or what?"
I told her that I wasn't going to make that decision for her. That she needed to. So if she really felt that she needed to go then I would of course take her.
At that point is when I got the "well it's really not that bad" response.
She then started in on how she needs to have her prescriptions re-filled. I said okay I will pick them up for you, just call the pharmacy and let them know which ones you need.
Ten minutes later I get a voicemail from her saying how the pain is back, and it is hurting real bad and that there is a problem with her prescriptions and that I need to call her back right away.
So I call her back.
She didn't sound like she was in excruiating pain. Was able to talk just fine. When I asked her how her side was, mysteriously it didn't hurt so bad again.
CAN YOU SAY ATTENTION SEEKING!!!!
I told her again that she would have to make that decision about going in to see the doctor or the hospital, that I WAS NOT GOING TO MAKE THAT CALL.
She once again said that she was okay.
This is the kind of thing that I have to put up with on a daily basis. :banghead: Arggggg!
And honestly I just don't know how much more I can take before I say something to my mother that I will later regret.
I am trying really, really hard.
And with that all comes the stress thing. The eating, eating and eating thing.
But like I said I am not going to let my mom and her behavior control that anymore.
From now on if she needs to go to the doctor or the hospital I will take her but I will not stay too. Because always they can never find anything wrong with her. No reasons to keep her or anything.
I always end up spending my whole day sitting around waiting for nothing while mom laps up all the attention and then like 6-7 hours later is told she will have to go home.
So now I am going to treat her behavior just the same way I would my children.
No more attention for bad behavior.
She will either stop with the theatrics or she will continue them but without me there as an audience.
It just really gets my goat that yesterday when she left the facility she was right as rain and now suddenly the sky is falling.
Hmmmph

Accountability Days 13, 14,15 and today.

I will get back on here hopefully after church today and get days 13 (finished up) and 14, 15 logged in as well as today day 16.
Hubby and I went out of town this past weekend for some much needed time together.
Can't say as I will remember everything that I had to eat but am fairly certain that I can remember most of it.
It was a GREAT time away. :biggrinjester:

Ah, that sucks about your mom, but if you do like you said, and don't stick around waiting for hrs at the hospital and give her the attention she seeks, hopefully she'll stop with the shenanigans. :hug2:

Congrats on refusing the MIL's pie the other day. I doubt I could've done that. :biggrinjester:

That's too bad Gil's not sticking with the program..lol. But I'm glad you are going to keep up the faith with or without him. :)

I think that once your body gets used to 100oz of water per day, you won't need the bathroom so much. ;) It was like that for me and others anyway. :)

I'd actually love to get back to your neck of the woods. I still want to take David to Amish Acres at some point before baby arrives, but not sure when. :(
