Bellaryna's Journey

To think that I got myself to 184 where those jeans were not only wearable but comfortable too and then blew it just burns my biscuits.

you have done it once, you CAN do it again :)

I got a Wii Fit for Christmas from my hubby. That thing is a blast!!! The first time I used it (Saturday) I was on it for like 53 minutes. I was determined to beat my score and kept trying again and again until I had to quit to make the kids some lunch.
I have to think that I burned off some cals working/playing with the Wii since I was sweaty when I was all done.

I got a Wii fit also, the hoola hoop exercise kicks butt. but it was hilarious watching hubby try to do the step :)

Hey Thanks for stoppin' by!
Always up for encouragement where ever I can get it.
Your right it is hilarious watching other people doing the hula hoop. My step-son couldn't even keep the darn thing going and then when he finally figured it out I about peed my pants watching him.
He looked like so silly.
Guess that's what he gets for sittin' on his butt all day playing his Xbox360! HA!
~~~
Austraila hmmmm?
That is the one place in this world that I want to go see before I die.
Had a few chances in my "youth" LOL but due to finances had to pass them up.
I am sure you will make it over here one day :)
If hubby know's what is good for him I will! LOL :smilielol5:
I have only been hinting for the last, ohhhh 10 years how much I would like to go on a anniversary trip there. Maybe for the 20th. That way the kids would be old enough to take care of themselves.
Only another 7 1/2 years to wait! :toetap05:
Are we there yet??? :biggrinjester:
Me too!!! Can I go there also?
The hula hoop stuff is a good workout though, isn't it? BTW, I unlocked the advanced one too, and it kicks your butt for longer time periods.
And yah... I'm sure I look like an idiot... 6'8" fat guy swivelling his body with invisible hula hoops...:smilielol5: But I'm sweating when I'm done...
Sure only if you can fit in a suitcase!!! LOL
I love the hulahoop one! I too have the advance hula but haven't yet tried it. To excited to keep trying all the other games that keep poppin' up.
I really like the boxing one, all the yoga stuff (keeps telling me I am a master.....must be Kelly's classes worked!), love the step dancing thing, let's face it there really isn't anything I don't like. Except for the move in the strengthening section that involves pushups. Can't do that one. I tried and failed.
Food Accountabilty Day 4
Today so far:
1/2 cup eggbeaters
15g or 1/2 a serving shredded cheese (Which is 1/2 of a 1/4 of a cup)
1 tbsp salsa
1 slice 100% wheat toast
1 tbsp sugar free raspberry jam
1 reg. sized banana
Updated
1/2 Chicken Quesadilla burger w/ steamed Cali Blend
1/2 Chicken/Cheese Quesadilla Appetizer
1 Key Lime pie dessert Shooter
1 tall Peppermint Choc. Mocha Latte (Starbucks)
I tried hard to bank cals all day so that I could go out on this date and eat w/o guilt. I know the coffee probably put me over.
But I did work out on the Wii for 1 hour after we got home.
Went out to eat with hubby last nite. All this holiday season we have been to various outings but never been by ourselves. So last nite was out nite.
Went to Appleby's.
I ordered the Quesidilla Chicken Breast Sammie. Cut it in 1/2 and immediately put one 1/2 in a to go box. Had steamed cali blend instead of fries or other high fat sides. Did have a chicken/cheese
quesadilla appetizer. Drank 4 16oz ice teas (unsweetened except for Splenda) on account of my sammie had ja-lop-a-noh's on it. I don't like spicy foods at all. So to get some and not knw I was getting it well not good. LOL!
~~~~~~~~~~~

Big news is this........drum roll please.........
Weighed in at 207.2 this morning!!!!
That is 3.8 pounds since Saturday!!!!
WooooWeeee!
:party:
Just goes to prove to myself that when I put my mind to it I can get it done.
Hubby says that I am the only person he knows who can fluctuate in weight as rapidly as I do.
Gotta love that Wii Fit! hahaha

Today has been an exhausting day to say the least.
Didn't get to sleep last night until 12:45am and got up at 3:45am to go to work at the YMCA.
From there all I did was run from one local to another all day long. Grocery store, taking MIL to doc appt, taking MIL back home again to unload all the groceries, back to the Y to pick up my check, over to the Verizon store to straighten up an issue, home to drop of supplies for the kids, picked up mom to take her to her apt so that she good get some things, back to my house for the "New Year's Eve" party (much sarcasm), back to get MIL, back to drop mom off at 9pm, to the store and finally back home again! I don't want to go anywhere at all tomorrow!!!! I am soooo tired that I am seeing things I swear! LOL :smilielol5:
Did get in about 18 min on the fit today only to show my mom what it could do. So wasn't like a real workout or anything like that.
Good thing for me,
dh has decided that he is going to once again try to lose weight. I am not going to tie my success up in if he can succeed or not. But since he will be trying there at least will be no more eating out (for awhile anyways), and no more junk food in the house.
So my journey should get much easier. As dh was one of my downfalls. Not that he was ever trying to be. Just that he was always asking if I wanted to eat here or there. And it got to be real tough to say no.
Well I think for the most part that is about it for today and this year.
I am going to log in my food over on the daily plate and head to bed.
Happy New Year Everyone!!!!!
May we all have much Success in looking Fine in '09!

Food Accountability Day 6

1/3cup shredded cheese
2tbsp salsa
2 slices ham
1 slice 100% wheat toast
1tbsp s.f. raspberry jam
1 banana
1/2 serving Chicken, Chili and Cheese Enchilada (recipe I found in a mag)
1 bag of ready to eat salad

1/2 yellow pepper
2tbsp sunflower seeds
2tbsp bacon bits (real stuff)
2tbsp poppyseed dressing
80oz water
maybe 15 minutes on the Wii Fit as the kids wanted on it so I gave it up.

I can't believe that I have actually been doing so well with writing down my food. I am just blown away by that.
I usually just fly by the seat of my pants and just wing it.
Now I feel like I "have" to get on here to update my stuff. It really is helping me with saying no more when I am eating.
Knowing I have to write it down where everyone can see it is a great motivator.
~~~
Forgot to weigh myself this morning.
We have 2 bathrooms and the one with the scale was being occupied this morning when I got up. And needing to use the restroom badly forced me to use the one without the scale. Soooo outta sight outta mind.
Did weigh myself this afternoon on the Wii knowing that it would be heavier than last time due to it being afternoon and all. The Wii said I was 209 something. Just about where I expected it to be. And that was figuring in my clothing. Without figuring in the clothes the number would have been 211 something.
But just now I weighed on the bathroom scale for the heck of it and it said 214! Which really isn't surprising. What with dinner and about 30oz of water being in my system. Plus that number includes my clothing.
I don't plan to stay up late tonight so should get a pretty accurate number in the morning. That is if I can remember to weigh myself! LOL
Well I am going to go and plug all my stuff into the dailyplate.
Catch ya'll later, gaters!
Well it is my back to work day today.
On one hand I don't want to go to work. Mostly 'cuz it is cold in that freezer! LOL But then on the other hand my kids are driving me nuts :willy_nilly: :)
Their Christmas vacation started 3 days early due to all the bad weather. And now that they have been home for 2 weeks straight I think that they are getting bored. Especially since earlier they couldn't go out to play in the snow due to it being all ice then slush as it melted, and now there is no snow and it is too cold for them to be out. So underfoot is where they are at.
Last night my youngest was just about crying telling me how he wants to go back to school. His wish shall be grated on Monday. And so will mine! LOL
I will finally be able to get my house back to normal. No matter how much I try to clean around here they trash it again. It's like living with small tornados!! :smilielol5:
Also once they go back to school I will finally have the time I need to work-out on the Wii Fit. As right now everyone wants on it, ALL THE TIME.
Guess it was a good gift to get them. hahaha
I set some goals for myself over in the PreLent Challenge. I am not Catholic but being with a group of people who will help me to keep accountable certainly will help me maintain those goals.
Goal #1
Starting Monday the 5th, after I clock out of work at the Y (T-W-TH-F) I will go back up to the fitness center and work on the weights.
Goal #2
I will work out on the Wii Fit everyday M-F
Goal #3
I will try to get 6.5-7 hours of sleep every nite. As right now I usually average about 4-5.
Weighed myself this morning coming in at 208.6, that puts me 1.4 higher than my current low.
Pretty sure it has to do with the fact that I didn't drink nearly enough water yesterday. Fingers are a bit puffy making it difficult to get my wedding ring off.
So today I will make sure to drink at least 100oz of water.
Bought a new lunch box for work. One that is more spacious as far as width is concerned. My old one made it very hard to take anything that was already packed in a bowl. With this new one I shouldn't have that problem anymore. Which in effect should eliminate the problem I was having in not taking lunch sometimes which would then lead to my eating out of the vending machines.
Okay now that I have rambled on forever, LOL, I am going to hop off this thing and get things done around my house.
Have a GREAT WEEKEND everyone!!!
:seeya:
Hey Dawn you beautiful, sexy, sweetheart you...
Looks like you are really taking the accountability to heart and running with it. You are doing amazing! I'm still struggling, but I'm getting better today. I promise, I'll be right there with you in a bit...
Luv ya!:beating:
Awww Shucks Karl "scuffing toes"
You always say the sweetest things. "blushing" :blush5:
I know you haven't hit the food thing running yet. But we did say we would start after the holidays and that before the holidays was for practice. I won't bust your chops too much......yet! LOL
Now that the holidays are over though.......hahaha
Catch ya later!
So yesterday was pretty uneventful at work for the most part. That is until I stepped down off of my equipment and effectively twisted my ankle. OUCH!!
I popped it pretty good. And I do mean pop. :lurk5:
Was able to keep walking on it with minimal pain. But after sleeping it is a bit tender. No swelling or bruising so shouldn't hurt for to long. I have been gentling stretching it now and then so that it won't tighten up.
Will try as much as possible to stay off of it today here at home. At work tonight will be another story. Oh Well. Whatcha gonna do, right?
~~~~
Weighed in this morning at.............drum roll...............
206.6!!! :hurray:
That drops my ticker by 2 pounds! Plus I do believe that puts me at a 4.4 pound lose in one week. :party:
With me starting my new goals of weight training T-F as well as Wii Fitting
M-F next week, I have to think that my success' will only continue.
