Bellaryna's Journey

Thanks to everyone for stopping by! As I have said previously this week I have been crazy busy. In fact right now I should be laying down for a nap as I need to go to work tonight and it is pretty much going to be a mad house with Easter only being a week away.
I had planned to get on here earlier and swing by everyone's diaries but my youngest was complaining that his ears hurt (3rd day in a row) and I decided I better get him to the doc. Especially as it is Friday and my luck would have it for them to really get bad over the weekend when the office is closed.
Of course it turns out that both of his ears are infected so I then had to spend an hour at the store waiting for them to fill his prescription.
I hope that everyone has a great weekend. Even though i have to go to work I feel pretty good about it. I am sure it has alot to do with the fact that the sun is shining and has been doing so for about 3 days now. My spirits are definately being lifted.
I weighed in officially this morning for the ARC and came in at 188.4.
I am pretty pleased with that number. That is the lowest that I have gotten while on this journey and I am hoping to see at least a 1 1/2 pound loss every week for this challenge. That would put me at 175 by the time that my MIL comes to live here. She has never ever seen me lower than 195. And has not seen me since I started this whole thing. So it should be interesting to say the least.
Well I need to get off this thing. I have a basket of laundry to fold, lunch to prepare, dinner to prep and hopefully a nap to get in all inthe next hour and a half.
Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend.
Later Gators!!!

Great job Bell!! I plan on losing a pound a week from here forward, that way I can reach my 160 mark by summer, YEAH!!! I was thinking 145-150, but with the way I look now, that might look a little to thin on my frame, as I've put on so much muscle tone. Well, I'll take pics when I get to my goal and you all can tell me if it looks good or if I should go a bit lower, sometimes it's best seeing through others eyes to get the real deal. Still when I look in the mirror I see the "fat" me., so probably need others opinions when it gets time.

Have a great weekend.
Kim

hey good job on the loss!!! :hurray: hope you make it to your goal by the end of ARC. i like that name - ARC lol! have a good weekend

Thanks for the kudos!
For once I am very excited to see my MIL! LOL
The look on her face ought to be worth alot to see. Wish I could tape her reaction but then that might be a bit obvious. hahaha
T-Dawg is feeling much better Thanks!

Playing hooky can be so much fun!!!!
At the last minute I decided that I just didn't want to go to work. So I took a personal day and spent this evening with my family.
We packed up the bikes and went to the local park and rode around for about 40 minutes. The kids were hilarious. After being cooped up in the house for all of winter they had lots and lots of energy to burn. But at the same time no endurance! They kept wanting to take breaks while we were riding. So I never was able to get my heart rate up above 90. But we sure did have fun.
We ended up topping the night off by having some Ben and Jerry's. I figure since I didn't have to work tonight that I can get up early tomorrow and jump on the elliptical and work off that little indulgence.
The kids were so funny at the dinner table tonight.
The oldest was at work but the 2 younger ones were there. Dressed up as a horse and a dinosaur.
I have the cutest pictures of my youngest sitting at the table with his dino head on trying to eat a chicken leg.
And the video of him trying to be "tough" is to die for!!! If I can figure out how to post it so that everyone can see it I will.
I am telling you, you will be laughing!!!
Well I gotta get going.
Tell the next time.
C-ya!

Hi Bell, No wonder you looked so refreshed this morning. I was having a tough morning and wasn't my usual self (if you couldn't tell.) But I have to say even seeing the video of T-dawg w/o the sound was funny and cute.

The bike ride sounds like fun. I wish I would've taken advantage of the nice weather. But we had a "concert" to go to. Mr. M and his "band" played at the Shed in LaGrange. So I decided to relax at home before we had to go out for the night. :)

You should be so proud of yourself! You have more endurance than you kids! And kids usually have lots of it...Congrats!

Time spent with the family is always the best one. It's so good for the soul. I'm glad you had the opportunity to spend the evening with them, I'm sure your kids loved it.

Have a nice sunday!

Hi there! Well if you go to the top left and click on Weight Loss Forum, you can then find the other threads. The diaries are in the Diet and Motivation section. Once you get there, you just start a new thread.

Good luck!

Congrats on hitting a new low!!

You're MIL will be so shocked, I'm sure. You look fantastic. :hurray:

Goof for you for playing hooky..lol. You just have to do that every now and then. :D

Hey All~
I am still here!!! LOL
It has been a really busy last few days. After not going in to work on Friday I ended up working some serious hours Saturday and Sunday. After not getting home until 4am on Sunday/Monday I was woke up at 7am to find out that both my hubby and my youngest had the flu! :puke:
So with only 3 hours of sleep I got up to get everyone ready for school. After being up for about 2 hours (running to the store to get crackers and Propel water) I came home and laid back down. I slept until almost 3pm!!!
So needless to say it has been a very tiring time around here.
So far all I have is 40 minutes of my exercise in for this weeks challenge. But with my Fit for Life class tonight and my plan to get on the elliptical it should hopefully put me at a total of 2 hours.
I am going to really have to BUST my hinney to get all my exercise in. But I am sure that I can do it.
Well with all that said.........
I will catch up with ya all later.
With having slept all day yesterday you can only imagne how gross my house is right now. LOL
Ciao

AHHH Man, I thought the flu was gone, I'm sorry your family found what was left of it. Hopefully, it won't spread over to you, that would stink big time! I don't know how you workout with little sleep, on days when I only get 4 hours of sleep, I can barely think straight after work and usually talk myself out of the gym, so good for you still taking your classes and doing the exercise, that's why your getting so skinny. Hugs and love girlie!

Hey Bell!

I told your dh you should have skipped work on Sun. instead of Fri.! He wasn't feeling to well that evening - didn't even eat the meal. I thought it was because of something else, but I guess he really was sick. Poor guy. Hope everyone is feeling better soon.

Thanks Buggie and Sweetiepea for stopping by and checking up on me.
Well it would appear that the Flu has left the building. I did have a mild headache most of the day so was a bit worried that maybe I was coming down with it but so far so good.
I just got off the elliptical doing 40 minutes (10 of those was a cool down) for 500 cals.
I had missplaced my MP3 player a couple of weeks ago and just couldn't get into the groove of the elliptical without it. Luckily for me it wasn't really lost just "hiding". As it is so tiny and also the same color as the base for the computer monitor, I must have overlooked it 100 times! But it is back now loaded up with some more music plus my favorites that I had on it from before.
Went to my FFL (fit for life) class tonight and ended up being there for almost 2 hours!!! The class techinachly (sp?) doesn't start until 6 pm but since we always try to get in 20 minutes of cardio we get there early. That way we are able to maximize our time on the weights. So I was there from about 5:50 'til 7:30! And believe it or not the time virtually flew by!!!
So with the 40 minutes on the elliptical, 100 minutes of my FFL, plus the 40 minutes that I had from the bike ride on Friday I am sitting at 180 minutes of exercise. Three hours. Not bad when you consider that up until this evening I was only at 40 minutes. I pounded in 2 hours and 20 minutes of exercise.
Now if it will only show that on the scale.
I did get to visit again with my friend from Canada today. Only to see her since she is so busy on this trip we had to "visit" at a Cracker Barrel. For those of you who may not know what Cracker Barrel is it is only one of the best "down home, Southern style" restaraunts around. And there is not much on the menu that could be considered as healthy!
I did however take my time browsing my menu and saw that you could substitute Eggbeaters and Turkey Sausage. So that is what I did.
Not sure how many calories it was but it had to be better than if I hadn't substituted it all.
Well it is late and I do want to run past a few diaries real quick.
So I will chat at everyone tomorrow.

I think I would've dropped over in your fit for life class..lol! 2hrs!! :svengo:

Mmmm....Cracker Barrel....:drool5: We used to have one 15min from our house, but it went out of business. I have no idea why, b/c it was always busy. There is one 40min away, but we never go there. :( OH well, like you said, it certainly isn't very diet friendly--although they do make some really good salads.

Glad everyone's feeling well again. :hurray:

Hey Bell! YOu are doing AWESOME!
As I just posted on Sweetpea's forums- you guys have accomplished so much while I have been out of the loop- you are a real motivator for me to get back on track!

keep up the great job!

You are an exercise guru!

I got your message and need to call you back. But I haven't decided to do that yet. ;)

BTW, I am so bummed about Cracker Barrel. I used to like it, but for the past year or two when I've gone I'm not that excited about the food. I always think how unhealthy it is, and then when I eat it I never think it tastes as good as it could. You know I'm very particular when it comes to restaurant food. Anyway, glad you got to visit with your peep again. I wish I could've been there too! I could've played hookie, maybe? Nah, I'm saving my hookie days up for when my sis comes - she's supposed to come up for my bday!!

Excellent exercise!! And cracker barrel is amazing!! I live in MA, and we have one within 30 minutes of us. My parent's favorite place!! And my little sister likes to go sit in the rocking chairs they sell out front. lol.
