Bellaryna's Journey

Well it looks like the storm did hit because I just got a call and we are having a delay tomorrow! So for me that's good because I can sleep in...or just not be in such a rush to get around tomorrow.

So when does your Fit for Life class take a break so that others can join? I'm going to get signed up at the Y as soon as bball is over which is soon!

Kelly is really cool in letting people try it then join it. So pretty much you can try any ol' time. There is only about 5 people who come every time. I am one of them. I guess we are the dedicated few! LOL So there is always a spot open for 1-2 more people.
So when your ready just let me know and I will let her know your on your way! Tis gonna be a blast having you there! I can't wait. :hurray:

Cool! Of course, if I like it after my 3 mo. are up, I will have to join for real!

Look how gorgeous you are in your new AVI!! AHHHH girl what a beautiful picture, love the hair, and your face looks so thin. WOW!! I haven't had time to read back in your diary, darn it, I've been so busy. But, I did want to come by and tell you how great and wonderful and gorgeous you are!! Hope your still losing those pounds girl, YOU ROCK!

Have a wonderful day today!! and an even better week!
:hurray::waving:
Lots of luv
Kim

Hey Ladybuggy!
Thanks for taking the time to pop in on me! I know how busy you have been lately and I really appreciate you taking time out of your schedule for me.

Snow Days.
You either like 'em or hate 'em.
Lately I have been hating them.
I know, I know that is not a very nice thing to say. Especially when it involves ones own children.
But if said children would get along with each other and not fuss and fight at each other ALL DAY LONG then perhaps I could enjoy the occasional Snow Day.
Then there is that word occasional.
Occasional; adj. -- Occurring from time to time. Not habitual; infrequent
If I were to go by what the dictionary tells me then it would be a rare thing to have a Snow Day.
But that is not the fact of the matter here in my neck of the woods.
Just about every week we have had some sort of "day off" from school.
Be it a Snow Day or a planned day off.
I have to believe that at some point my children will be going to school for a good two weeks more than normal at the current rate.
And we haven't even hit the foggy season yet!
And for some reason the school system here seems to think that they can't possibly go from a 1 hour delay to a 2 hour delay to 3 hour delay to cancelling school.
No that would be to much of an obvious pattern.
No we like to just jump straight to the 2 hour delay and then right into the no school thing.
And just about every time they have called off school it clears up before 11am.
Okay so I am just venting here. I realize that when the weather is bad and the roads get hazardous that they have to keep things in the best interest of the kids. But it just seems that there are days where they close school and things clear up and on days when they should have closed school and did not conditions get worse.
I am beginning to think that they have a monkey out there driving on the roads reporting back on the conditions.
And of course the monkey doesn't know jack squat.
Okay rant done.

I'm with you on the snow days. School was out yesterday, as we had 9 inches of snow, but the roads were totally clear by 10 am.

We've had 6 snow/ice days this year and we've already extended the year as far as we can. So, we will either have to go on a saturday or extend the days of one week by 2 hrs. each. BLAH!!!

OMG!
That would totally suck Ambalove. Having to go in on a Saturday. Yikes!
And if they had to keep my daughter for and additional 2 hours they would be regretting that fast! As her meds would definately have worn off by then and she would be a HUGE handful. She has ADHD and lets just say she won't be outgrowing it anytime soon. Poor thing.

Around here they've already added 10 minutes to each school day to start making up all the snow days this year. That seems a lot smarter than adding 2hrs to each day for a week.

You are not the only one getting fed up with the kids being home. One of the women in my office is about to lose her mind...lol. She says she can't get anything done with them home all the time. :biggrinjester:

I'm gonna have to go check out the B&A section now to see those pics. Can't you just post them here as well for lazy people like myself? :biggrinjester:

Got cabbage? :biggrinjester:

Thank you for the TLD gift!! :drool5: You are stunningly gorgeous!! Wow! I love the look on your face--so supermodelish. :svengo:

Thanks!! :blush5:
I was just trying to look serious. Which is absolutely, totally not like me at all! LOL
But I love the way the pic came out.
And I have to hand props out where props are due. My 8yr old daughter took the pic.
She did a fine job of it I think. :biggrinjester:
Happy TLD!

I guess your daughter inherited her mom's knack for photography--but the mom is also very photogenic. I'm very jealous--I'm terribly the opposite. :D

Lookin' good Bell!

As far as the snow days, just remember they basically have to know about 2 hrs ahead of time what they can do as far as delaying and such. And just because main roads are clear doesn't mean the sides or back roads are clear. Not that I don't advocate sending the kids to school or anything of the sort, it's just a safety concern more or less. I also enjoyed the day here with just the younger one and not the teen - it was so peaceful until he came home.

I'm so tired of the snow too! We don't even get as many snow/delays as the public school gets either. I was just amazed we got one the other day. In fact today when I talked to the guy who calls the delays at our school. They weren't even going to do it until East Noble and Dekalb called it - and then they weren't too sure, except that since we are a private school parents come from all over and 35% come from the Ft. where it hit worse than up here.

Hi Bella, I hope work is okay this weekend. Didn't hubby buy you some extra warm stuff to wear? I hope you stay warm. :)
