Bellaryna's Journey

Hey Bell, you had better have some sort of motivating words about taming a treadmill for me tomorrow morning! I'm looking forward to it!

Good Morning all my Lovelies!!!!
Thank You Stacey, Omega, Mina, Angel, Sweetiepea and Wanna or stopping by!!!!

Stacey
Thanks for the kind words! Soo funny about the Lysol as I kept thinking about you and all your OCD tendencies. Musta worked though. Hubby is better and I didn't catch anything!
Have a Great Day Sunny-Poo!
Omega
Hi Margaret!
Thanks for the Kudos on the new low.
I am really hoping to hit 194. something by next Friday's wiegh-in.
If you go to the beginnning of my diary there is an entry pertaining to the elliptical that you will most likely find extremely hilarious. I think it is on page 2-3. Not sure.
Thanks for dropping by.
Mina
Hello Mina!
Thanks for stopping by my diary!
Your words are very kind! And you too will reach your goals. Just set your mind to it and do it!!!
Angel
Thanks Angel for dropping in on me.
I think that if I did not work in a Freezer (I am thinking of bringing home my gear to take a picture for all you fine folks!) I would enjoy the snow more. In fact I use to love playing in the snow. But now I spend so much time being cold that I really don't want to step out of the warmth of my house.
I hope you get some snow your way soon. 'Cuz it really can be fun!
SweetiePea
Hey girl!
Had I known you were going to be out in the snow I would have brought over the kids and Snickers. Would have been a blast. Maybe the next go around? And for sure we need to get a snow bunny picture of you! As far as the pup peeing on the bed tis more my fault then hers. I didn't let her out before putting her up there. Besides I heard that your fur baby did a little tinkle on our driver seat? Oh well............guess we are even for T-Man upchucking in your backseat. LOL :smilielol5:
Glad that I could inspire you!!!! Your an inspiration for me too you know!?
Have a great day Sweetie!
Wanna
Inspirational words about the elliptical????? LOL :smilielol5: Are you sure your reading the right journal? hahahahah
I know that you can do it too! Just jump on and tame that beast! Show it who is boss. You can DO IT!!

So Friday is gone and Saturday is here. I can't be on here to long as my beautiful daughter is clammering to get on the computer.
Just wanted to update things with all you guys.
Thought I had my meals for work planned out fairly well. But apparently I over shot my calories by about 200-300. Which in and of itself is not bad as I still kept it below 1800. But I did want to get on the elliptical last night when I got home from work. However I didn't arrive home until 3am. Working out at 11pm is one thing but doing it at 3 in the morning well that would just be down right weird. Though I did think that it would be a good way to warm up before going to bed. Usually I just take a warm tubby (falling asleep in the process LOL) and then off to bed. So my new conclusion is this. If I get home by 2am I will get on the elliptical to warm up. If it is after 2am then I will just take a tubby.
Good News! I have been released by the doctor to take up swimming again. So starting Monday I will be back to that. I already spoke to my boss and will most likely be doing this 4 days a week instead of 2. So that will be at least 3 hours of cardio every week. Added on top of the elliptical and my power core class I should see some big changes coming up soon.
Well I am going to go get on the elliptical. Seeings as I didn't get any in yesterday.
Hope you all have a great day.
Most likely I won't check back in until Monday as I have Church tomorrow and then a nap in the afternoon before I head off to work.
Later Gaters!

YAY! You can swim again! I keep debating on whether or not to join Brick Bodies Gym because they have a pool, but am waiting till things settle down a bit before I make such a commitment.

Keep up the good work!

Good job! I can barely

barely swim. It's really just a lot of thrashing around and kicking myself. It also takes me a long, long time to get from anywhere to anywhere else. I didn't know until I was almost washed out to sea once!

Anyway, I don't know whether you have the resources available, but I've found that the elliptical is tops for the ability to be able to work out to the beat of music (on a treadmill or regular cycle I have a hard time keeping the beat and my heart rate up at the same time). I just choose fast songs and forget I'm even there.

Good job working out so late!!!
Oh, and GO BLACK TEAM!

Thanks for stopping Yarmiah and Spartacus26~
Yarm I can't tell you how excited I am to be able to get back to swimming.
I didn't realize how much I really liked it until I couldn't do it anymore.

Spartacus you are so right about the elliptical going well with fast beat music! I pretty much just plug in my MP3 and rock out to my TobeyMac collection. And before I know it.......BAM!
Thanks for stopping by!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Just got off the elliptical. Did 45 minutes with 5 of those being a cool down. Burning off 675 cals!!! I am determined to not be booted off the Black Team!
Just figured out today after owning the dumb thing for a year that I could of been tracking how MANY miles I had gone. DUH!!!
Oh well! LOL
Catch ya all later!

That's great that you can start swimming again! Where do you swim?

I hope you're having a good weekend! You seem to be doing really well with the challenge. I'm glad it's been such a motivator for most people so far. That is the whole point of it--to get us back on track after the holidays. :)

And congrats on your new low!!! :hurray:

I wouldn't have put myself into a pair of 16's yet thinking that they would never fit.
Thank you to my hubby's cousin!!!!!
Catch up with everyone when I get back!
Ciao :leaving:

I hope I don't get booted off! I am trying so hard but the scale just isn't budging!!!! Probably 'cuz I haven't been getting in all my water. I love swimming. And it is only now that I realize how much I missed it.

Ya he's pretty happy *wink wink* :coolgleamA:
I actually find it "easier" to work out at night 'cuz there are no distractions. Just me, my MP3 (thanks again!) and the elliptical.

I swim at our local YMCA.
Shortly after I joined they asked if I would like a job as a swim instructor for small children and now my membership is FREE!
Thanks for the kudos!

Here is a quick recap of the weekend~
I already told you guys how I worked out for 45 minutes on Saturday.
I didn't go to bed on Saturday until 2:45am. So my new thing of working out before 2 didn't come into play.
Sunday was donut Sunday at church. The first sunday of the month we have a big donut fiesta. This was the 5th month in a row that I DID NOT have any donuts!
It is becoming increasingly easier and easier to "Just Say No", to the things that in the past I would have scarfed down.
I got home from work on Sunday at 1:30am. Just in time to jump on the elliptical. Pounded out a 20 minute workout burning off 272 calories.
I did allow Sunday to be a free day as far as calories goes. Though I still did not eat any junk. Just didn't keep as close track as normal.
Went to the Y today to get back into the swim of things (hahahaha) and while I was there told the swim director that I could use some extra hours. I went from only working 2 hours a week to working like 10. Doesn't seem like much but it's a pretty big jump for me.
So since the way my new hours are going to be I will need to be ever vigilant in my time organization skills. (Sweetiepea you can quit laughing now!) So I will be on here in a more sporadic fashion. But never fear I will still be here!!!!
So as it stands now I need to get off of here since I need to get my house put back together from the weekend and get dinner started so that I can hurry out the door to the Y so that I can teach mommies how to swim with their babies so that I can hurry and go to my PowerCore class so that I can hurry up to come home and have dinner!!!! Whew! I am exhausted already just thinking about it. And of course I will be hopping on the elliptical later tonight!!!
I will try to swing thru a few diaries but will most likely not be able to stop and post anything until tomorrow!
Hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!
Gotta go! :auto:

aww don't worry about the scale. it doesn't count for that many points anyway. i was worried about that wehn i joined cause ive only lost about 3/4 pounds in nearly 6 weeks!! most of the points are bonus or excercise and you are doing reaaly well with that. keep it up! i think i wll start swimming again or tye anyway...in the summer!

;-)

Thanks Angel for the encouragement.
I just feel like I have been stuck in the 190's for so long now!!!
Mostly my own fault I know. If I had been more vigilant like Omega aka Margaret I am sure that I would have seen a significant loss in December.
But that is neither here nor there.
I think that you should look into the swimming. Even if you don't swim well. Just being in the water burns calories since you have resistance to the water when you try to move. Swimming or not.
Catch ya later!
And Thanks for stopping by!
