Bellaryna's Journey

Bell, I sure hope your headaches go away soon, that really sucks!! I'm currently fighting a cold, hopefully it won't go crazy on me and move to my chest, at least with a runny nose and sore throat I can still work out, but wheezing, NO WAY!

YEAH on the weight loss too, I'm happy it's all working itself out now. And look at your H, getting skinny and stuff, YEAH!! I know your proud of him, that's a lot of darn weight.

Hi Bella,

I get headaches when I eat something very salty.. I hope your headaches will go away soon!! Congrats on staying under the 200's, no going back...

Wow, congrats on hubby losing the weight!! That is pretty impressive!! Somehow the men in our lives seems to be able to take it off so much easier. My hubby was 170 when we came back from vacation (he is always a steady 160) and I was laughing at him, that now he has to go on a diet... He just kept going on about his business and a week later he was back at 160!!:puke: I really thought that was not fair!! The same amount takes me at least 4-5 weeks. Yuck.
Now my weight is going up and down for not apparent reason...I do the same thing I did while on the Halloween challange... I have no idea what is going on.

Hope you are having a good week!!
Hajni

Great job! It's nice that your husband is doing this with you. That always helps.
Thanks, I hope that he sticks with it. Seems that he might. Just that we have been down this road in the past and for whatever reason he gets so far and quits.

Great Job!

I hope you'll stay better as well.. :hug2:

{My hubby is sick right now and it stinks!}

Have A Great Night! :)
Thanks for stopping by Stacey
Sorry to hear that your hubby is feeling under the weather. Hopefully he'll clear up real soon.

Thanks Kim! You always have been one of my biggest Cheerleaders :hurray:
And I can't tell you how much that has meant to me!

I was scared there for a few days, but it was all for nothing. I knew that it was most likely due to the surgery, but I sure didn't like seeing that 2 in the front.
Wow, congrats on hubby losing the weight!! That is pretty impressive!!
I know I was impressed! I told him with losses like that he should go on the biggest loser and win us some money! LOL

Doesn't seem fair does it?

Could be your body is just ready for a break. And it will get that here soon enough. Who knows though. The human body is quite the mystery.

Hope you are having a good week!!

Thanks to everyone for stopping by!!!!

Peace to you today my friend!! good luck on your weight loss this week, I'm not feeling totally up to par, so not sure what this week has in store for me, but I won't give in that's for sure!

Goodbye 20's

So much has happened in the last week. And with having the the surgery and not feeling up to par I just never got around to telling you all everything that has happened.
So here goes my long-winded update! LOL
To prepare for my upcoming surgery and the likelyhood that someone one else was going to need to come into my home to take care of my kids on that morning I SUPERCLEANED the house on Monday and Tuesday.
And I mean cleaned. In fact on Tuesday I got so caught up in the cleaning mood that instead of folding and putting away tons of clothes that no longer fit I started going thru all my dresser drawers and closet cleaning out anything that currently did not fit or was a summer item that was on the line of being to big.
I ended up getting rid of 3 big trash bags full of clothes!!!!
In the past when I have lost weight I always held onto clothes in the off chance that "I needed them later".
Well not this time!!! No way!!! No How!!!
I was amazed at how big some of those clothes were on me. In fact I even was a bit shocked.
Two years ago I got down to 196, what I am weighing today :hurray:, and it was even the same time of the year. At that time dh had told me that I could go out and buy a new outfit for Christmas as a reward for going below 200.
Last year I couldn't wear the outfit. I had gained the weight back. This year I couldn't wear the pants in the outfit 'cuz they were TOO BIG!! Woohoo!!!!
The shirt was not too big but just right.
On Tuesday night we had to go to a big fancy smancy dinner. Dh is on the board of directors for a children's home that is in our area and all the board and their wives got to eat out at this thing called, "Dinner at the Lake."
This is put on by our local Christian Camp every year. Now don't let the word camp make you think that this was just some ho-hum thing. These people put on the spread.
Prime Rib, Herb and Rice Stuffed Pork Tenderloin, Appetizers that would melt any dieters resolve and desserts to die for!
All this on a night when I am not suppose to eat or drink 8 hours before my surgery. Yes surgery was the next morning bright and early and here I was eating some of the richest food that I had had all year.
To top it off there are people there that I hadn't seen in about a year who kept saying things like, "You look great, fabulous, wonderful."
I even had one person who had known me for the last 12 years but not seen me since last years Christmas Dinner NOT RECOGNIZE ME!!
She said that she kept looking at the back of me thinking to herself who is that? They seem so familiar yet I can't place them.
I was blown away.
Two years ago when I got down to 196 I was still bigger than I am now. So I am now the same weight but a smaller size. In fact the dress pants that I wore to the dinner were a bit roomy on me. I haven't quite gotten up the nerve to try a size 16 yet. Maybe in a few weeks.
So I am attaching a picture of me from the night of the dinner so you can all see that I actually do clean up pretty well. LOL
We have another one of those dinners on Wednesday. This time with our home church. Now that I have had a taste of all that food I don't really want it so much. I do wish that they had a salad to go with the meal but alas no.
Guess I will just fill up on Shrimp Cocktail and Veggies. LOL
It is amazing to me the transformation that has happened in last 4 months.
And I just realized last night that I am now over 1/2 way to my goal. What once started out so daunting has become attainable.
Okay so that is everything in a nutshell that I wanted to say.
Hope everyone else is having a GREAT DAY!

WOW, You look GREAT!! I love that red on you. You have such a youthful face, soo, soooo pretty!

Thanks Kim!
Everyone I know thinks I am much younger. Or at least people that are mere aquantices. (I know I butchered the spelling! :smilielol5:) I love it people always act totally tacken back when I tell them that I am 35. They usually say late 20's. Guess losing weight will help to keep that dream alive!!! LOL
And that is the shirt that fit in '05 not in '06 and here it is again. Good thing it is still in style. :smilielol5:
It's my favorite for sure. :biggrinjester:

You look great! Keep up the good work!

I think Trace Adkins would agree:
"One Hot Momma"!!!

:biggrinjester:

Hi Jen!!!
So glad to have you back.....I sure did miss ya! :blush5:
Thanks for the nice comments.
As far as the Hot Momma thing I can take it one further..........
"One Hot Minister's Wife" :smilielol5:
Oh yeah baby!!!

The weather here is yucky and I think that it is really starting to do a # on my motivation.
I still got the eating thing down tho I am struggling a bit with the protein thing. Since I have to eat like 98g of protein I end up drinking about 2 protein shakes a day. Between those 2 shakes I get 56g of protein. But it really makes me feel bloated and I don't know why.
I think too missing my Wednesday PowerCore class for the last 3 weeks has really been doing a # on my motivation. And I won't be able to go this week again due to Christmas dinner obligations. :santa: It seems that at the holidays everyone wants to take the minister and his wife out to dinner. Not that I am complaining about that just that..........
1. It gets fattening fast :piggy::p
and
2. It really starts to cut into family time.
And to top it off I can't do any swimming until doctor releases me from my post surgery restrictions. So the cardio that I was doing I am not now. And that was at least 1 1/2 hours a week. ~SIGH~
I will most likely jump on our elliptical sometime today to get in at least 20 minutes. But I must admit that I really find the elliptical boring. So I don't really have any real desire to get going on it.
I did make it to my PowerCore class last night, but like I said, missing the last 3 weeks has done a number on my abilities to keep up with the class.
The one SILVER lining for my class and all the classes that I have missed is that the teacher is going to be having a week of 4 classes straight in a row to make up for not being there on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.
We won't have to pay for the 2 extra classes. And we are not required to be there. But of course after missing all the time that I have and since it will be the week before our last weigh-in you know I will be busting it out. :smash::smash:
Well I need to get going. I am suppose to be teaching my son pre-school and haven't done it for the past 2 weeks due to the busyiness of the season.
That and he is not so excited about "learning". Which I find amazing  as he is really smart but doesn't want to sit there to be taught anything new. So I am trying to come up with more "creative" ways of learning. Ways that he will not realize until it is too late! :smilielol5: MWAHH HAA HAA HAA :smilielol5:
Okay I'm outta here. :leaving:
Have a great day everyone!:seeya:

Hi Bellaryna

Firstly - the photo looks great. You are right to feel proud of your weightloss and the picture is absolutely lovely. The dress really suits you.

You are so brave getting rid of your bigger clothes. I know that you are supposed to do that and I am quite envious of you for having the confidence to do it - but I just havent managed to find the courage to do it yet. I am still half expecting all the pounds to come piling back on.

I agree - it is a great feeling to be halfway to goal. The impossible aspect of the task suddenly became a bit more possible.

I have found the protein thing not nearly as bad as I first dreaded. I discover that one of the favourite meals in this house (that is so easy to cook too), pork loin steak with a tin of baked beans - is really high in protein. One of the reasons that we have it regularly is that studies have shown that if you have 3 big tins of baked beans a week it can do your cholesterol level the power of good. Since my husband has inherited a tendency towards high cholesterol - he actually can often be persuaded to have his baked beans. A meal with 44.9g of protein certainly helps towards the challenge.

Your forthcoming exercise classes sound fun.

You are doing great!

Take care
Love
Margaret

Thanks for stopping by Margaret!
I am going to try my best to make sure I get the bonus in this week. Even if I do feel bloated!! LOL
Gotta go!
Sending ya some love!
:grouphug:

Wow, you look great!!! I absolutely love the color... I wear red too any chance I get.
sorry about not being able to swim yet and missing the pilates classes. I know how that can be frustrating. As for struggling for motivation.... me too.
going to the gym, sweat, and then jump into my cold car... or sweat then bring a change of clothes with me and jump into them without a shower and then drive home ...ugh.
Hop over and check out my diary for my foods, and see if you find any you like. They all high protein and I don't even need to supplement with shakes...
Have a great day

I know what you mean about getting in all that protein, it's even harder when you have no appetite, OIY! I'm trying but I'm not liking it either!

Hang in there this week, it should go by pretty fast!

HUGS TO YOU!:seeya:

Thanks for popping by Kim! I know you don't feel well so it means alot to me that you took the time to visit today. :Angel_anim:
I just feel like I am eating way more than normal. Even though I am not. And to be eating all this protein I am eating way different this week. So I just feel outta "whack". You know what I mean?
I'll make it thru, there's only what like 5 more days. Aahhh!

Hey Bell- I didnt even know you had a reason to be on Dr. restrictions- I hope everything is ok. As far as the exercise cutting into a time crunched holiday season, just do what ya can, and do soem simple things like take the stairs instead of the escalator when shopping, park the car further from the mall, and continue to eat well. I'm sure thsi time of year will be hard for most of us.

Ya look great!

;) See my reply to ya in my diary! :D

Happy Tuesday!

WOW! Love the new pic! Yer so precious. :)

CONGRATS!

WOW - Yer doin' just fantastic and you should be very proud of yourself!

:hug2:

Ya look great!

TMI alert~

Just the swimming ones.
Normally I could get by with ah-hmmm a tampon LOL, but they don't want you using anything like that until everyting is all healed up. So as to not get any infections. And since that is like the absolute last place that I would ever want to have an infection I'm listening to the doc!
Should be all better in about another week.
Thanks for the props!
