Being a responsible adult! Weight loss n stuff...

Thought I'd drop in again quickly!! Weigh in tomorrow, I've had a fairly good week. Would like to have lost at least a couple hundred grams!!

My 12 week challenge starts tomorrow, so I thought I'd get in and make some 3 month goals!!! So, here's what I hope to achieve in the next 3 months...

-Weigh 65kgs
-Visit the dentist
-Be up to date with my course

They look pretty general (haha, except the first one... that'll be a challenge!) but I'm trying to make it things I can be accountble for that I could let slide, but I won't!! To achieve the first one, I'm going to be working out like a fiend and will have crazy support from the other 30+ people in the class. They have a private FB group which is really active so it'll keep me on track!! So crazy amounts of exercise and crazy amounts of healthy food. The second one, I now have health insurance and have a dentist appt on Thu the 24th at 10:30am. Yew. The third- well, being up to date with my course will pretty much entail keeping on top of my assignments. I'm sure that I won't have a choice as someone in the class has latched onto me a bit and she's come over twice this week to do the majority of our first assignment together, can see that as being something that may happen regularly. Haha. All good things!

I've actually made 6 month/ 9 month/ 12 month goals too but I won't share them till after 3 months. That way I can reassess if I need to.

Tomorrow will be a busy day, I have to be at the park at 5:30am tomorrow (yuck, I'll be up at 5!), I'll be home just after 7am and will have to quickly eat breakfast and shower. The lady from my class will be here at 8am to use our printer and then we are walking to class together to meet the lecturer early so she can look over our assignments and tell us if we need to make any adjustments before handing them in tomorrow. Then... class 9-3. Husband has the day off too and I won't see him till the end of the day!! Boo!!!

Anyhoo... I plan on making serious changes in myself in the next 12 weeks!!! Hopefully I'll have new friends at the end of it too!!!
 
Hello! Damnit I'm so freakin tired, hahaha! Got up at 5 for weigh in before the class. It was a really good session! Fun first day!

Had my assignment looked over by the lecturer today and she said it's all good, so I'm handing that in tomorrow and then have a test. So tomorrow will be a short day!

Double exercise day tomorrow, I'm doing back and chest at the gym in the morning and then the ab circuit class as part of the challenge (they run two different sessions every day, you pick which ones you want to do).

I was all forgetful when I wrote last night, haha! I weighed 71.8kgs yesterday, yay! Finally a little bit of a drop. 400g more and I'll finally be out of the overweight BMI range. Would really love to be 71kgs by next weigh in, that'll only be possible really though if I was still retaining water yesterday due to Tom. I might get lucky though, the change in routine this week might get me there too. We'll see!

Gymmed it up this morning, did my push/pull workout then walked home. I still went hard but didn't stick around for cardio or anything, I think the ab circuit I'm doing tonight might have runs/HIIT thrown in. Not 100% sure but that's my guess! The class I'm doing tomorrow is a kettle bell class which should be fun! Hopefully not too much legs as I'm doing that at the gym Thu morning.

Guys. I'm dying. Had a really rough class session this morning, think I want to crawl under a rock for a few hours. Ha, only for a few hours though... I have a job interview at 11am!!! Eeeee!!! It's a skype interview which is really weird. It's a sales person for a nearby appliance store (selling fridges, freezers, cooktops, air con etc). It's the first interview I've had in forever so I'm excited! Fits in well with my classes too, I have class Mon-Tue and this job is Thu night, then Fri-Sun during the day.

Anyhoo, cutting this a bit short today. I have to race to the shop to grab a couple things and then get on with my morning so I'm all calmed down for my interview!

Thanks MrVee!! It must've gone pretty well, I had an email half an hour later organising an interview with the next person in the chain (if I get through that one, I have one more interview with the store manager). That's on Tue at 3pm, so right after class.

Just got back from the gym!! It wasn't a very energetic workout, hahaha. My body is pretty achey all over, legs weren't as bad as my upper body though. I have a boxing class tonight and an upper body class tomorrow, yikes.

Ended up having a fairly long boring day in between training sessions, was pretty much falling asleep all afternoon and desperate to snack... but I didn't. Just did the boxing class and now I'm fully amped, no idea how I'll be able to sleep soon to get up for training tomorrow! Haha, the organisers of our training class are trying to get The Rock to make an appearance at one of our sessions, he's here filming a movie for a few months so they're stalking him on social media haha. We're making a video tomorrow morning for him! Too funny. I really need to see a chiropractor next week, one of my knees is being pretty dodgy so my hips must be out.

Think one of my cats might be sick, I was patting her on my lap and she had a huge coughing fit then settled down for cuddles again... but then didn't eat later, and didn't stalk me when I got the cheese out. Really hope she's not, I can't stand it when my animals are sick! Also REALLY can't afford vet bills right now if she isn't well after a few days.
 
Survived my first week of the challenge, yay! They normally have a Saturday session too but as this is the Easter weekend they're skipping it this week. Had a good upper body session today, pretty exhausted right now.

Still unsure if my cat is sick, she was eating biscuits this morning so guess that's a good sign... will just have to see.

Not doing much today, as it's Good Friday both Ash and Wade are home today and I'm cooking a huge early dinner and dessert... just chilling out the rest of the day I think.

Well, I woke up this morning and decided I think today is going to be a rest day. I downloaded a heap of movies to watch on Foxtel on demand, and today I'm camping on the couch! I do need to clean the house today so I wont be doing completely nothing.

I woke up deciding I couldn't be bothered biking... so I started walking, and straight away my knee was a little bit dodge, so I turned around and went home after less than a few minutes. All good, if I have another rest day my knee should be able to hold up a bit better for a few days till I see the chiropractor.

Husband is home today, he's working in one of the few stores that aren't open Easter Sunday. Yay for me! Today we're cleaning, he told me not to bother yesterday. I WAS going to do it anyway, but it didn't end up happening haha.

Hi Cate, my page is down at the moment. While I'm unemployed it turned into another monthly cost we couldn't afford right now, I'm thinking I'll bring it back though. Happy Easter to you too!

I was aiming for a deficit average of 632 (and aiming to lose 600g for the week), guess I'll see tomorrow how I went. I've definitely and noticeably lost this week though! Also, I did 7 workouts this week so I'm pretty stoked with that (and had two days of doing nothing, haha!) Next week I'm hoping to get the 632 cal deficit average, and from Wed onward (after grocery shopping) I'm going to make sure I get two serves of veg at every lunch and at every dinner. Actually that second one is more my goal for the fortnight!
 
71.7kgs today, only 100g down but I'm super fluid-y and puffy. I think it's from having a pretty high amount of protein on Sat and not using up my glycogen stores from sitting on my butt for a couple days... might weigh in again tomorrow or Wed. Won't be taking photos/measurements till Wed anyway as I had no time this morning!

Exercise session was good this morning, lots of boxing and running! No plans today but I have a busy week, tomorrow I have class, then an interview at 3, I have exercise in the evening and then grocery shopping straight after. Have lunch on Wed with someone from my class, Thu I have the dentist (And class morning and evening that day, as Fri is Anzac day and the park is closed for the dawn service) and then Sat our exercise group has an excursion- going for a sunrise walk (5:30am) in a national park and breakfast afterward.

I plan on having an amazing week this week food and exercise-wise! Not letting any stress get to me!

Didn't end up with a very good food day yesterday, thought I got through this Easter unscathed by chocolate... ended up eating a choc egg last night, put me about 400cals over maintenance. There's no more junk food in the house now, and I had an awesome gym legs/shoulders session this morning I think because of it haha. All good, can still get to my goals this week. Could've been a lot worse!

Busy busy today, after this I'm getting ready for class, then leaving class early for my interview, then workout group tonight... I was going to grocery shop afterward but husband has decided to do it himself after work. He doesn't want to wait for me then do it late, fair enough too!

Dropping in to say YAAAY, second interview went well. They're going to contact me soon to set up a face-to-face at the company with the manager. Wooo!!!

My new study unit is super boring and easy. It's actually making me think I want to give nutrition another go. For chemistry though I'm thinking I might look around now to do just that unit externally, after watching the lecturer go off at that student I'm not really keen to learn in his class again. Eh, we'll see! I'm just realising how much I really don't want to stay in retail.

I somehow survived both last nights workout and this mornings, don't know how though... haha, after doing legs and shoulders at the gym yesterday morning- doing them WELL too, so they felt destroyed- last nights workout was mainly legs and shoulders... and then again this morning. I couldn't seem to catch a break! Tomorrow will be a full on exercise day too, we have a class in the morning and at night since the Fri morn class is canceled (the park is closed for the Anzac dawn service). I'm looking forward to the group excursion on Sat, it's a 1hr walk in the national park at 5:30am to watch the sun rise. They're going out for brekki afterward but Wade is taking me out there, so I'm ditching people after and heading out for breakfast with him. I found a paleo cafe out there that I have been dying to go to, so that's what we're doing! Can get anything I want and it's all gluten free, huzzah!

Survived this mornings session, it was legs. It was hard haha. The one I'm doing tonight is a full body weight session I'm pretty sure! That is, if I survive the dentist hahaha.

Man we had yet another financial setback yesterday- our power bill was close to $1800!!!! (All our previous ones have been less than $250). Called the power company, our air con reading is still exactly the same as it's always been.... it's the house power that shot up. They said we must have a faulty appliance or fixture. Farrrrk. Had to set up a payment plan to pay it off, and buying a tool from the hardware store to check all the appliances... if we have no luck there, then it'll be another expense getting an electrician in to check all the fixtures. Arrgh. If there was ever a good time for me to get a job, it'd be right now!
