Before/Inbetween/Almost After - Pooh Style

Glad to hear that things are working for you - is that 1 1/2 total between the two or 1 1/2 inches each?

Congrats on the 32 :D that's great to hear!

:eek2: OH MY GOSH!! What a phenomenal change! Wow, you are virtually unrecognizable! What an inspiration - thanks so much for sharing!

Congratulations on a FANTASTIC job!:sifone:

Thank you very much... that means a lot.

I updated the first post to show my pictures from page 5.

This thread should probably say "Before/Inbetween/NEVER After - Pooh Style".

This is probably way out of place here but I just wanted to tell you I tried planks...

OUCH!

Well you know how it goes...no pain, no gain (or some bullshit like that)...

Oh baby it hurts so good :D

Two week update... :)

Two weeks 4 lbs and 2% BF per my stupid Tanita scale. Says I am 16% BF, I should go to the gym today and find out of that is true.

Here is a pic from a few weeks back but I like it... compare it to a similar shot found on page five.

EDITED to add pic here:

Ali's right..
There is so little resemblance to the top picture.
You know this- but great job man. I looked at your pictures when i first came to this forum and was amazed a the progress you made- didn't comment then because I was intimidated by said progress.
I am still intimidated but feel the need to comment.

OMG KEITH

Who is that other person??? You don't even look the same.

Great job!!!

:) awwww shucks. You know, I posted that one for you because you say I never smile... A grin is better than nothing :)

I am sorry that you feel that way... you have made progress that is in itself awesome. However, I don't think you should have ever let it stopped you from commenting or asking questions. Look up the users Falco and Burneeed and those are people I still look up to (obviously for weight loss reasons) and then there is Steve who is just shredded all to hell and has some of the best damn advice out there. All of these people are very approachable and I am sorry that I came off as being unapproachable to you... :(

Damn man... that's absolutely nuts.

That was a short response but had a lot of power in it. Thank you. Check your PM.

It is not that you came off as unapproachable. At the time I joined this forum I had only lost like 15 lbs or something and really felt intimidated by all the success here.
I honestly did not want to contribute or comment until I thought I could contribute something of value.
You're overall progress is intimidating- not you. For a new guy coming in and seeing a guy who lost over 100lbs and looks great what could I possibly say? "great progress"? C'mon, you knew that already.

Sorry if my previous message came out wrong....

Actually I understood what you meant... this was kind of a good opportunity of making it out into the open that I'd love to give any help to anyone that I can. I might not be as scientific as Steve... but I can always try to give my own personal experiences, which I found to be very helpful being able to relate to people (like I said, Steve is great with explanations, but the man has never been a fatty like us, so some people get intimidated by that).

I am touched you did that for me :)

You really just look so amazing, I am so proud of you.

So I went to my gym yesterday, won't mention which one or who the trainer was I asked to help me with a BF test.

I walk into his office and he hands me a handheld BF test (apparently no one uses calipers anymore, which I know isn't true but I won't argue because I am still interested in getting it done). I hold it and it says 12.6%, to which I think is absolutely ridiculous. I show him my stomach and the FOLDS of fat and he tells me that it is loose skin and won't go away. Again, I didn't want to argue with the guy, but he did mention even if it WERE wrong, the most BF I could probably be is 14%. Still, I thought it was a bit of bullshit considering I've been able to reduce some of this fat off my stomach in the past two weeks alone with a clean diet and stepped up cardio.

I knew I regretted it going in at first because here came the HARD pitch... he'll get me into shape! WOW! I turned to him and said, no offense, I've lost over 100 lbs already and I think I have a good grasp of what an effective work out looks like. He wanted to know my work out and I've posted it several times, so I won't repeat it here. He then told me my weight training should come after my cardio... and in his defense I have done that before but I find I can't get through an entire WT session if I do the type of cardio I enjoy doing first. He also said FULL body workouts like mine aren't practical and useless. I also don't work my CORE enough... which I suppose I work 1 day less than the other body parts I am doing but I wouldn't say it's drastically less.

The thing that annoyed me with the guy wasn't the advice, because I am sure he has gotten results with his plans for other people, but it was the fact that he couldn't TELL me why what I was doing was wrong. He wants to set me straight... because he knows more than me, which might be the case but I asked him what he looked like before he started lifting and he said a twig. Again, no offense to Steve, but he doesn't know what it's like to be fat and attempt this. I def have a different body type that I am not so sure he understands at all (which Steve obviously does understand body types, which makes him easier to listen to when it comes advice).

Sorry, rant off... Just thought it was interesting to say that my scale at home gives me 16% while the hand measurement tool gives me 12.6%.

I wouldn't believe the scale at home either... but that's another story :)

the book that comes with my scale basically says without saying it -that it's not accurate it's just another measurement and as long as you're seeing changes -then that's what counts...

What were you expecting out of the trainer? :D Oh yeah - I know of a bridge that's available pretty inexpensively :D

hehehe... I use the scale at home that does BF just to track changes. Even then I am not so sure it is accurate. I am sure all of these methods use a form of averages based on general population, and I am also fairly sure I'd fall into one of them, maybe just not one of the ones it uses (considering most people don't loose 100 lbs very often). Again, my goal isn't some stupid number, but rather I'd like to see my abs (which basically come and go depending on what time of day it is, like a cloud passing over the sun :) ), however I do get to see them!

I wasn't expecting much out of the trainer, as Steve will attest to the fact, that I knew what I was setting myself up for... a bridge you say? I'll take TWO!
