Becky's Diary

Firstly - congratulations on both the end of your exams and the 50 pounds milestone. Both brilliant in their own right!

Dont worry about tonight's celebration - we would all celebrate at the end of exams - so have no guilt about it. Skinny people celebrate and there is no reason why you shouldnt.

It is great that you are going back onto the plan tomorrow. I am sure that when you start eating in a more controlled way the puffiness will go. I suspect that the food that you have been eating is higher in sodium than you are used to. If that is the case you will retain extra water. Drink plenty of water and your body will release any water weight that you are holding.

Take care
Love

Just weight myself at home, and am absoloutly discusted with myself. My weight today is 13 stone 2.5lb. I stopped going to the gym and following the slimming world plan last friday, and in six days I have gained 8lb.

I have never put that much weight on in a week before, and am now back at the same weight I was at the beginning of April. I havent been following the plan, but I expected maybe a 3 lb gain, not 8!
My clothes are tight which should have been a warning sign to me but i just ignored it.
I Really need to get my act together - I'm going on holiday 2 weeks on monday, and its obvious that I won't reach my goal of 12 stone 3lb by then, which at one point did seem achievable. I can't believe I have messed this up so badly!

I will leave my ticker tape weight at 176.5 until Monday - hopefully it won't be as much as 8lb on. Anyway, I will let you know how I get on then.

My weight is down to 13 stone today, so it probabaly wont be an 8lb gain on monday (thank god!).

going out to the gym in a bit, aiming to stay for 2 hours. I'm going out with my mum and brother later for meal to celebrate both of our exams being over, only going to wetherspoons though so im sure there will be a jacket potato or something SW friendly.

Anyway, will check in tomorow after the dreaded weigh in. =|

I'm sorry about the gain. We all have times when we get a little off track. The really important thing is to know that it can be fixed very very quickly by being good. I have seen it happen time and time again after times like Christmas. People have horrible gains that really shock them - they get back on track - and they are so quickly back where they were. It really makes me feel stupid when I think of all the diets that I have abandoned when things didnt go right.

Firm control of your food and consistent exercise will get you to where you want to be. Drink plenty of water incase some of the gain is water weight as you may have had excessive sodium on some of the days of uncontrolled eating.

Good luck at the scales.

Love
Margaret

Went to the gym today for just over two hours.

Food I ate today (from wetherspoons website):
Jacket potato w/side salad & five bean vegetarian chilli
Calories: 705
Fat: 25.5g
Sat Fat: 3.1g

This is a little off though because its calculated with dressing on the salad and butter on the potato which I didnt have.

And then (starbucks website):
Small Soy milk pepermint latte
Calories: 160
Fat: 4g
Sat Fat:0.5

So thats 865 calories and 29.5g of fat which isn't bad as long as I keep my dinner light.

I maintained!

Im shocked, I didn't believe the weighing in lady when she said I had. My hard work over the past few days has really paid off and im made up!
Only one more weigh in to my holiday, and im going to aim for 2lb so I will be under 12 stone 7.

anyway, off to bed now so I can get up early and go to the gym!

Congratulations on maintaining. That is brilliant news. It just goes to show what can be achieved by a few days of hard work - when part of you is being tempted towards giving up (we all get tempted in that way when we see gains!).

There is every chance that you will get the loss that you would like before your holiday. Hard work - like getting up early to go to the gym is so often rewarded.

Been to the gym 3 times this week and been very good with what I was eating. I did have a slice of Vegan banana cake yesterday, although it was only small and being vegan didnt have any eggs or butter in it, so I think as far as cakes go, it wasn't the worst option.
I definalty feel slimmer and my clothes feel loose today which is nice. just hoping for a 2lb loss tomorow and then I will aim to be a good as possible untill next monday (will miss weigh in) when I go on holiday.
I'm not going to worry too much when im away but not going to go mental either. Im 5.5lb of my 4stone award so that will be my next goal to work towards for when I get back.
Going to see everyone from college on results day which is the 14th of August, so I would like to be a few pounds lighter by then!
Anyway, will post tomrow after I have been weighed and am hopefully in a good mood still =D

Been so busy today shopping for my holiday, spent far too much money but on the bright side I got some great new clothes, including a size 16 dress (yippie!).
Really looking forward to a bit of sun, although it wasn't too dull here today.
Have actually been really good with food this week and went to the gym as usual on tuesday, its a shame I will miss my class because I think I probabaly would have lost. Still!
a loss this week will help me balance out my holiday gain so its not all bad.

Will drop by sunday night maybe to see how everyone is getting on before I go.

It is better than weightloss when you can get clothes in a new small size. The feeling is incredible! Every time I go down a size - I look at the item of clothing and get the same feeling - that I will never get into something that small. Then I am just amazed when it fastens and doesnt look like it is ready to burst.

You probably will put on a few pounds while on holiday - you are only human. Having said that - you are aware of the hard work that has gone into transforming your figure - so I am sure that you will balance some of the splurge foods with some healthy things. At the end of the day - remember the lessons learnt at Christmas and other times of splurging. The really important thing is to get right back on track as soon as the event (in this case holiday) is over. Those extra pounds fall right away again in a matter of days.

Have a great holiday.

WTG on the size 16 dress and the weight loss. you have lost so much since the last time i was around. :hurray:

hope you have a good holiday x

Im back!

Had an amazing time in Corfu and my scales at home are putting me at 12stone 5 which is actually a 1lb loss! Obviously made up but I did eat really well while I was there, it was 40 degrees most days so I was eating mostly salad and fruit and drinking about 4litres of water a day, plus we where out every night dancing into the early hours so im not too surprised I have lost.

Anyway! I hope everyone is well and everything is going okay.
Talk to you soon, Becky X

It is absolutely brilliant that you have lost weight whilst on holiday. A lot of people gain weight at such times. Dancing the night away is clearly something that you need to continue (it sounds like a good excuse to have lots of fun to me!).

Scales at the gym today said I have lost another pound =D

Been eating loads of Quorn this week which is low fat and a slimming world 'Speed food' (suposedly speeds up your weight loss) so maybe that has something to do with it.
If I have lost 2lb when I go to S/W on monday, i'll only be 1lb off my 4 stone award so that would be excelent.

X
