Beckster's "homestretch run" diary

Thanks T2!! I hope you do too!! Well, I did something today I've needed to do for a while. I ordered a new wedding ring for myself. The one I was wearing became too big, and was just about falling off. It wasn't my original one that got lost many years ago (?stolen). So, I'm very excited. Hubby and I will be celebrating 25 years in June!!!
 
Despite the cold, dragged myself out for a long walk this AM. No more cookie dough, ugggh, just thinking about it makes me want to puke.
 
The weather here is starting to get quite warm now (and don't get me wrong that's nice and I'm looking forward to the summer.) But I'm still quite jealous of all this snow talk :( we dont get snow at all here so it's a bit of a novelty.

But good work on the walking. :)
 
OK - I CAN'T beleive I'm still hearing about SNOW!!

WTG about ordering a new wedding ring! I haven't been able to wear mine for months - when it's all done and said, I'll take it down and be resized. It's kind of weird not wearing a wedding ring after all these years!
 
Good job of getting yourself out there. Walking today I thought I was insane because halfway through my trek I thought my face would freeze off, then I turned around and that wind was now at my back. Coming back was great.
 
I know, I can't believe it's still cold! But before we know it we'll be saying that it's too hot! :)

Hope you had a lovely Easter. The ground is still sprinkled with snow and the forecast has predicted that more is coming our way- where is Spring!?

Glad to hear your eating is back on track. I had a wild family weekend so I ate pretty much everything I shouldnt...Nevermind, today is a new day:) Have a wonderful day!
 
Hope you had a great Easter too. I didn't do too badly with eating, refused to have hubby make me up an Easter basket. I went to a local nail salon and bought three bottles of OPI nail polish to treat myself. I got on the scale and have gained a couple back, so I'm reigning things in a bit, and cranking up the exercise. I think it's fluid retention that's caused the weight gain. Been eating too much sodium laden stuff. Oh well, off to work a 12 hour shift.
 
Walked an hour today right after I got up. It was cold and rainy, but I did it anyway. The weather is ridiculous here. I'm beginning to believe warm weather will not return until Jan 2008. My eating habits have been pretty much on track. I'm letting myself have a bit too much leeway with somethings though.
 
Big storm around here, no walk for me today. Just rain/freezing rain right here, but snow in the surrounding areas, and lots of wind!! I had a very stressful day at work, but survived.
 
Wow Beck nasty weather there to!! It has rained for 2 days and snow

to instead it is lock my bedroom door and force myself to do a little

Tried to post in here yesterday, and my computer was soooooo slow it never went through. Oh well. Been walking, and started with my hand weight lifting again. Had a very challenging day at work, but all is well. I'm so excited, my new wedding band came, and it looks so nice.
 
Today is a day I will never forget!!!! I was working this morning, and I happened to run into my doctor, who arrived on the floor to see a patient of his. I wasn't taking care of that patient, but, he walked up to me, and quietly said "Ok, now you're too skinny". I retorted with "No, I'm not!", and he said "yes." I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY DOCTOR I HAVE EVER BEEN TO SAY THAT IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! It made my day I have to say. Lovin' it, lovin' it!!! Plus, the sun is out in full force, and I went for a long walk in a t-shirt and lightweight sweatpants!!! YAY!!!!
