Beagle's No Lie Zone

Vit. C away Beagle Bailey :D That stuff works absolute wonders! LOVE it :D

Great job on getting in exercise even when you don't feel so hot :D gett better soon !!!! :D

Thanks for the well wishes... today I feel even worse though :( My voice is practically gone altogether!

I've basically been sleeping all day today. I got up for about half an hour at 11, then for about an hour at 3, and just woke up again, and its almost 7pm. I really don't think I'm going to get any exercise in, but I also haven't eaten much either. I had a few bites of frozen yogurt (around 50 cals), 2 fudge oreos (100?) and an orange (75). I just made myself a bowl of broccoli soup (150). I'm not actually hungry, but figure I should get something in me.

by the way I forgot to mention, last night after my last post, I did a semi-easy 45 minutes biking (I managed to work up a sweat, but didn't really push myself that hard), and then did another 240 situps (4 sets of 60 this time) - the situps almost killed me I think, heh.

I Am Proeud Of You On The Excercise And Situps!! I Hope You Get Better Soon!!!!!!!!

240 situps? WOW, that is incredible. I've only just started crunches and I only do 20 at a time. LOL!!!

beagle, you are truly an inspiration!!

Hey Beagle/ Wow, you really are on the go aren't you. Hope youre feeling better. I'm getting myself back in the game and now I feel guilty reading about your situps. I GUESS I'll go ahead and excercise! I will, I promise. I made hubby my coach. He thinks he's back in high school football now!!!

So after sleeping at least 18 hours yesterday, and about 10 hours last night, I am starting to feel much better! My voice still sounds absolutely terrible, and my throat is a little scratchy from so much coughing, but at least I can breath properly! I did another 240 crunches a few minutes ago too. And for everyone that says that its soo amazing, I gotta tell you, they still hurt like heck! But because my belly is my biggest self-confidence issue I keep pushing it. When my abs start feeling sore during the crunches, I finish that set of 10, plus 10 more... it usually takes me a couple of minutes to recover, but then I feel good as new within a couple of hours max. I've also been told that to make sure I get the most out of them to wait until all the muscle fatigue is gone, then wait at least 12 hours before doing more (but usually its closer to at least 24 since only recently have I started doing them more frequently).

Anyways, yesterday's food:
- about 1.5 cups of frozen yogurt - 300 cals (over the course of the day)
- 2 fudge oreos - 100 cals
- orange - 75
- 2 big bowls of broccoli and cheese soup - 250 (the can says 180 for the whole thing prepared, but I tossed in some real cheese for flavour)
Total - 725 calories
I think half my usually calories is about appropriate for a day when I slept through most of it ;)

Good job Beagle, and glad to hear you're starting to feel better, don't overdo it, of course, but a little light cardio (like a long walk, something gentle) never hurt me when I was on the mend. Have a great weekend, I'm off to Mexico!

good job on the crunches beagle! (I die after 40 crunches. heh.)

but yeah... missprincess is right. go easy on yourself. you're still sick afterall.

Hi, I'm new. I'm impressed at your crunching. I might just do a couple after I get offline. You inspired me. Thanks!:)

Sorry to hear you are sick Beagle! Hope you get better soon.

I love your new Avatar, that's adorable!! How's the save the dates coming along? Can't wait to see them, I know how creative and artistic you are.
I just told Bize that my scale said 182 today, I'm hoping that I didn't gain two pounds over the weekend, I didn't eat that much. But if I did, we are tied! I'll let you know in the morning when I step on Big Daddy.
Have a good Friday!

Conversation Post:
MJ, my icon is from this super-cheesy commercial for cat litter, that starts off "Is your cat a PIRATE? Do you find yourself looking for BURIED TREASURE?". there used to be a video of it I could link for everyone to see but now I can't find it :( Stupid internet, hiding stuff on me.

Also, all of you that are cheering me on for the crunches, THANKS! I didn't really see it as that big a deal in the big picture before, just a personal best when I hit 200 at once. I have to say I got my inspiration from the Turbo Jam crew (the workout DVDs I still use sometimes) - some of the people there have such awesome ab definition! Honestly, well defined abs look hot on anyone, man or woman. Hopefully by the time I've gotten rid of all this tubby fat over my belly, I won't just have more squishiness underneath, but some actual muscles :D Even though TJ is my inspiration, you guys are my motivation!

Beagle can I be a pain and ask what crunches actually are. I see this term thrown around a lot on hereand I probably know what it refers to I just can't put the name to the activity. I need something to do in my house whn I don't have the car to go to the gym. :)

Well done on getting started again after being ill, being ill is mice!:(

good point crunchie. And kind of apropos to your name :)

I wonder if what I'm doing is really a "crunch" or am I calling it by the wrong term. I lay on the floor, with both legs straight up in the air with my ankles crossed. Then I just raise my shoulders off the floor towards my knees trying to really just use my stomach muscles. Am I doing it right, beagle since I think it's clear you are the QUEEN of crunches!!!!! <<cursteying>> Hee
