Be honest...how bad is my loose skin?

I'm going to have to disagree with you. It be a very extreme case for someone to have loose skin when their bf% is in the single digits.

Orange you know how I feel about your particular situation. I STILL think if you continue in being persistent in correct approach to diet and training and with a little time, you can rectify your problem without the need for medical surgery.

I believe you should exhaust personal attempts with proper diet and exercise without considering the knife. When your SERIOUSLY give it your all and allow a bit of time, and after all of your sincere efforts fail, then maybe...its time to think about it.

UNTIL THEN.........YOU keep rocken......cure this problem on your own with pure desire and will......prove you can do it brotha!

I think you should build slabs of muscle before you consider a cut. The handheld electronic devices are highly inaccurate, and the scale tells you more about your hydration levels than your bodyfat levels.

Even if you were at 11% do you really think dropping 2% is going to make a huge difference? I doubt it. I realize you want to get rid of the skin as fast as possible, but I'm sure that cutting won't be much help. The best way to do this is to build muscle under the skin. Your body could use development all over, and once you've achieved that, cutting will be much more rewarding.

And like I said earlier, eating the tendons and cartillaginous joints of animals might help with your colligen production.

Alright, I'll keep building muscle...but I have no idea how Id get tendons or cartilage to eat.

Also, I'm hoping this means something, but I can feel a good bit of fat under the skin in my stomach region. If it was all loose skin, wouldn't it just...hang? Maybe I just store most of my fat in my stomach region? or is that far fetched?

It reminds me of when I thought I had gynocomastia. The doctor told me no, there was just fat in my chest, and now it's a hell of a lot tighter and firmer than before.

Yeah this makes more sense then cutting. Best build some serious mass so that it fills out the loose skin. in your pics your looking pretty nice and lean but you could get much bigger ;)

Awesome job on the weight loss :D this proves you have what it takes to change yourself so i shouldent even be telling you this crap :p

That's some amazing progress.

It looks to me like your skin will be all tightened up in a few months. It's very encouraging to see something like this, thank you. :)

There is no question that you have improved 500% over the last few months! My advice fwiw would be to keep doing what you have been doing until it stops improving. Then, you can re-evaluate your situation, goals and options at that time.

Well done!

I will be honest, when you first began I told myself that bulking with that amount of loose skin, would not help and the only way to fix the problem is through surgery.

But amazingly, your succeeding and you've made heaps of progress. At the rate your going it looks like it might be completely gone in a few months.

Reps for proving a skeptic wrong!
Keep it up.

Your quite an inspiration for me to be honest. I haven't got loose skin similiar to you but I'm kinda unhappy about the shape my body is in, and you've proved that with some hard work you can do anything for yourself.

Thanks.

If I could I would probably sticky this with the title, "Loose Skin? Discouraged? Look here."

Then maybe track down a couple other threads like this to substantiate. It may not even be achievable for some, but I'd rather be lied to than psyched out, that's for damn sure.

YES! A powerful heart cannot be stomped out!

From the beginning I believed in you. Most importantly, you believed in yourself--despite the skeptics and nay sayers. This should have some deep meaning to you: Belief in yourself and your abilities are more powerful than all the skeptics combined. Stomp them out and rise up and be proud of your accomplishments young man. Your mind and the application of what you learn is a powerful.

You are a machine. You steam roll all adversity. You eat all skeptics for dinner and they scream when you crap them out. (Thus my secret to my personal leanness :) )

Be proud!

Best wishes to you young man!

Thank you everyone, your words are so encouraging. Especially because I have been struggling with this for so long (in the state I am right now, I'd STILL be embarrassed to go on the beach shirtless.) so I need to work on my confidence too.

The pictures were all taken after working out. I just wish my stomach always looked like that. When I wake up things look a little worse than the last picture I put up, but I guess that could be because I'm not hydrated yet?

In the morning after approximately 8 hours of sleep, one (at least IMO) is close to their natural weight as possible on a given day, as food and water consumption-at this point-isnt playing a major factor in the weight. As one consumes food/water and the body starts to distribute nutrition and water your weight will go up a few pounds. In addition, if one is holding a bowl movement this as well will figure in ones weight versus when one is not.

In other words, with what I know, I would assume its just your 8 hour sleep fasting period and deydration. In the morning when I wake up I can be nearly freakish lean (161); however, as I consume water and eat, I usually swell to about 164 approximately.

When your tissue is (for sake of argument) dehydrated, and you FEEL you look worse then pics as compared to the pics during the day--what is THIS telling you? This should tell you something positive. That IF you were to add some muscle in the correct places within the upper body, you will fillout--AND TIGHTEN UP MORE. Dont underestimate your back as you progress.

Off to train, BABY! Yes,,,,,,lets do this thing!

ROCK ON!
