I am still here! Just had a jam-packed weekend!

Anyways, i will summarize my weekend.

Friday : went out to eat japanese tapas + aquabus (bus on water!) just for fun for the birthday girl + improv show which was a lot of fun.

Saturday : Weight in 185.6 (+0.2)
12AM : shared a lot of american/westcoast brunch food. It was bad! ~2000 calories. It was a groupon and it was only 30$ for 2 people at a high end hotel restaurant. Great food, but I'm sure it was filled with a lot of fat! Shared bennies, seafood chowder, fish and chips, crab fritters, sampler of 6 deserts AND they had unlimited mini donuts!! It was amazing deal but of course, not a great deal for my weight.

Walked a lot around town, night market (avoided the food stalls even though my friends ate), walked around malls.

8PM : Had some pho ~ 700 calories.
Watched Harry Potter 2.
Total for Sat: 2700 Cals

Sunday: Weigh-In : 186.6 (+1.0)

Had a Laksa noodle soup w/ vegetables and 3 fried chicken wings ~ 1000 calories.

Played Mah Jong for 4 hours...BUT...had some popcorn too ~ 300 cals

8PM - Ukrainian dinner - Borscht soup - shared perogies/cabbage rolls/sausage and a roasted duck w/ mashed potatos. Also had a Ukraininan Iced Tea. This felt like a really heavy meal. I was eating out with a friend who was back in town after about a year. ~ 2000 cals.

Total for Sunday ~3300 cals

Monday: Weigh-In - 189.6 (+3.0) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did have a very bloated stomache even after my morning lou. I also ended up pooping some more later this morning.

BF: almond milk + cereal ~200 cals
Snack: had 2 pieces of chicken ~100 cals this is the chinese sized portion where one drumstick is sliced into 4 pieces
Lunch/snack: blueberries (100) + cheese triangle (70) ~170 cals
5PM: cantaloupe ~ 120 cals
[insert nap]
9PM: egg white + mushrooms and a lil cheese ~ 250 cals
2x white peaches ~ 150 cals surprised how low calorie White Peaches are...they are so sweet and I kept finding them around 70 cals each online

Total for Monday ~ 1000 cals

I needed to have a good day. I did eat a bit late today so hopefully it doesn't stay in my stomache tomorrow morning. I want to see my weight drop back down. Seeing the 189.6 was mind blowing..3 lbs in a day?!? I did eat a lot but definitely not 3 lbs worth. 3500 calories = 1lb so I definitely did not eat 10500 calories. It's just some of the stuff didn't finish digesting and getting out of my system!

My weekend wasn't good but it is not as bad as the scale shows. I had 2 admittedly terrible meals - Saturday Brunch and Sunday Ukrainian Dinner. The other meals weren't that bad ~1000 or less. And I tend to have 2 meals on weekends it seems. I wake up late - I have a lunch and then I eat a late dinner. If both were 1000 calories - I could live with that for a weekend. That's still under my 'maintenance calories' - I believe my maintenance cal is around 2200 cals.

So I still have work avoiding those heavy meals or just learning to eat less during it.

I also didn't exercise at all besides walking - I was barely home all weekend.

The one good thing that I noticed was that I avoided snacking for the most part during the weekends. I ate the 2 main meals but I avoided night market snacks and movie snacks and mcdonalds late one night when my friend had some.

So yea...I don't know what to say. I will be working hard this week of course to get my weight back down...I had a bad weekend but I don't think the 189.6 accurately shows how I did. My stomache took today to clear that late heavy meal out. I think tomorrow will give me a better idea where I stand when I weigh-in.

I still can't believe my scale almost went to 190...

That's more like it. The late night eating always stays with me for another day.

It sounds like you had a great weekend! You were probably around your maintenance calories for Saturday and Sunday, so don't worry too much about it.

I am so jealous of men and the extra 500 calories a day they can eat. Its not fair!

Them scales did go up A LOT! But you know its not fat, I know its not fat. Everyone knows its not fat. Its poop. :)

Just keep on track!

Your making me want to play Mah-Jong, I used to play it all the time when I was about 16. I got a bit addicted to it tho :rolleyes:

Really Ruthie?? I know very few non-asians that play and to be addicted to it!! If only you were in Vancouver - we're always missing a 4th player!! My family has one of those automatic shufflers. It's pretty awesome!!

So.....I went out with my dad today to watch a movie - haven't done so in 1.5 years. We watched Captain America - it was TERRIBLE. I felt bad taking him to such a crummy movie. I usually take him to good action movies...

I didn't eat the greatest from movie onwards --- but not -too- bad, but it was late.

I really should be more motivated. I am going to my first Meetup.com group ever to meet fresh faces and it's a bbq by the beach for 20-30y olds and about 40 people will be there! I was hoping I could flirt with 15 lbs in my first month but doesn't look like that will happen. I'll be happy to get back to 10.

Food

10AM - almond milk + cereal + banana ~ 300 cals

1PM - white peach (70) + 20 almonds (140) + cheese triangle (70) ~ 280 cals

4PM - little bit of peanut congee (200) + noodles (200) ~ 400 cals

6PM - white peach ~70 cals

8PM - dad went and brought popcorn back... ~300 cals

10PM - shared a nabeyaki udon soup (250), 2 pieces of a house roll sushi (150), 1.5x salmon sashimi (60) ~ 460 cals i wasn't that hungry but my dad wanted to eat...and i rarely eat with the guy so it was kind of a rare evening out for us. It was a late meal so I know the scale is going to remind me tomorrow morning why I shouldn't eat late.

Total for the day = 1810 cals Not good, but not horrible.

Again...no time for exercise.
 
i too have been having so many days of no exercise.....Please get back to it i need some pushing from you!my skin is breaking out again in spots...only gymnastics helps...oh come on..Pleeeeeaaaassseeee....
 
Just want to write my calories down for the day. I'm a bit hungry and it's 8PM. Want to see what I can fit in if I do. Also I should exercise.....................................................................................

Food

10AM - Almond milk + cereal + banana ~300 cals

4PM - peanut congee (250) + boiled bok choy (50) ~300cals

6PM - 2x white peach (140) + half a pear (40) ~ 180 cals


8PM - 15 blackberries ~ 70 calories (guess - i couldn't find what the calorie of a single blackberry is..anyone know?)

Total so far - 1050 cals

As you can tell, I'm totally into the white peaches these days...I'm almost out! I need to go back to costco and grab more...so good!!!!

i know the more we push the excercise away the harder it is to get back on it !!! 2 month ago i had stopped for like a week and it was hell to go back on it!!!!

Ally - SO TRUE!! I stopped for about a week now and I remember I kept saying how good it is to exercise and shower and enjoy the evening. But now I just nap when I get home....!! So hard to get in a rhythm of exercising...

I still haven't eaten anything..but keep thinking about food...it's almost bed time tho. My stomache doesn't complain - it's just my mind most of the time. Good thing the internet is a great distraction.
 
ended up eating my 4th white peach of the day and 1 chestnut ~ 80 calories

So total of 1130 calories for the day.

One of the best calorie days for a while, but really need to get my exercise back in it.

Woohoo. Hit my goal! It feels a bit weak since I was 185.4 last friday so not much progress this week. A lot of late night eating and no exercise.

Welp! It's still good ! Lowest in 1-2 years!
 
SweatDaily - Thanks! Hopefully I actually get into this next territory! Weekends are not my diet's best friend :)

I had a bit of a mini-breakthrough where I was out for work and stopped by a noodle shop with an acquaintance for noodles. There were mini set combos that had Ramen + appetizer(dumplings/etc) + drink for about 9$. There wasn't a vegetarian ramen for the combos which was what I wanted. I ended up getting the vegetable ramen laksa for 8$ so I avoided the extra dumplings and juice (which i probably wouldn't have drank anyways..i just like my water ..i am a borefest, i know!). That was a mini break through since normally I would of got the combo for sure...and also I ended up just eating half of my bowl ..which never happens either. I just kept thinking..i don't want to eat this entire bowl of noodles...

I also am going to my first meetup.com group tomorrow and I'm pretty excited to meet some fresh faces!

I have been out of a relationship for 3-4 months now - it was a 1.5 year relationship and it was great but it just didn't work out. Anyways, I noticed 90% of people in my social circle are in pairs. I'm 27 just to remind you so I guess it's about that time but it's hard to meet new people when you hang out with couples for the most part. So I decided to check out some meetup.com groups and its going to be a big bbq party on the beach with 35+ people I don't know all 20-30y of age so that's great! I'm really looking forward to it and I also put myself down as a vegetarian burger eater :)

Food (up to 5:30pm - current time)

BF : almond milk + cereal + banana ~300 cals

1PM : half a bowl of vegetarian laksa ~ 450 cals (guess)

5PM : a white peach ~70 cals

so far 820 cals

It's a beautiful day to take a walk..but I am sooo lazy. If only I lived across from the beach...it would make it easier.
