Back on Track

I'm back. Got to Memorial Park at 7am. It started pouring down rain. I got out to run. Takes me 25 minutes or so to get there, so I'm not turning around to go home. It's dark because of the rain clouds, and chilly with the rain (mid 60s). I start to get cold and soaked, so I duck back into my car (mainly because it was dark and there weren't many people around, so it was a little scary). I wait 5 minutes, it lets up a little, so I start.

It ends up drizzling the first two miles, and raining the last 1.1 miles. But I did it all, and did not stop jogging. Got soaked. Ran the first mile a little fast because I was cold and felt hurried, so had to jog slow the rest to keep from having to walk.

1.0 mi 10:00 (6 mph)
1.0 mi 11:10 (5.37 mph)
1.1 mi 11:56 (5.53 mph)
3.1 mi 33:06 total (5.62 mph avg)

Slower than yesterday, but it was cool and raining, and I did blow my wad on the first mile, but I DID NOT STOP JOGGING (though I wanted to badly -and- had to go to the bathroom), so overall I'm pleased.

Hit my low weight again this am. Here's what happens. I hit a low weight, but then won't see it again for weeks, then eventually will break through it. I hit it on Tuesday, so to see it again today - Sunday - is a pretty cool feeling.

Let's see for today we have housecleaning, more bookkeeping/tax work, start to get ready for Brownie meeting, lift weights, and attend the Italian Festival when the rain lets up.

*achoo!!*

Have fun at the festival. Have a Gelato for me - hell, even a slice of pizza if nothing else. My knees buckle thinking about an Italian festival.

wet jogging outfits. :) :) :)

had the lemon gelato. no fat, little bit lower cal. raining all day.

forgot about neighbor kid birthday party starting in 10 minutes, got to run to the store for a present, clean out the freezer, go grocery shopping plus rest of list. er, i need it to be friday again.

should probably walk tonight after the pizza buffet we went to on the way to the italian festival!!!!!!?!?!?!

our friends won second place for their pizza entry at the festival. oh well, it was a "Southern Style BBQ Brisket Pizza" so maybe it wasn't italian enough. but it is a gooood pizza. Here's their website: . i told them i'd help them tweek the site appearance/SEO qualities a little; need to put that on my to do list this week.

ciao for now.

hello friends. thanks for coming by today OHD, T2, M2M and Pequin. it does my heart good to get visits from you guys.

cleaned out the freezer. gross. you wouldn't think frozen food could get messy, but yuck. threw almost everything out. cleaned out fridge too. want to start fresh, plan meals, then buy the groceries, should make for healthier eating.

"fail to plan, plan to fail"

pantry cleanout job is later this week.....

stopped by the bday party next door. they are greek. holy cow it was a lot of food, and i did eat some though i planned not to. actually had some coca cola too. egads!!!!! did stop myself before it got too bad and poured out the rest of my coke. left my kids there, came home and started cleaning house (and freezer). got me moving and away from the food.

step away from the food.

reminds me of something my mother-in-law said to me once about my weight and meals "You just have to learn to push away from the table". nice lady.

of course they saw me at family reunion this summer and told my husb they hardly recognized me (as in i looked good, but i wasn't THAT bad before, was i? maybe i was). his sis told him he better start getting in shape if he wants to keep me, though he really isn't overweight, just out of shape.

I had one of those moments not too long ago...I'm sure you remember it. You were fabulous then so being even more fab now was mind blowing! :D

*blushes* *smiles* thanks, you guys are the bestest.

that is cropped from those pics i posted, one of me looking at my friend katie on our weekend (the birthday girl, aka just about everyone's maid of honor). she'd just finished opening my present to her (james avery charm, er, uh, a margarita glass - but that's another story) and we were smiling silly at each other. she is awesome and makes me laugh.

it was the first decent pic i could find of me thinner and smiling. :)

Yankee or Rebel

Want to take a test?????? Are you a Yankee or a Rebel?

My results were:

"85% Dixie. Do you still use Confederate money?"

P.S. It's about how you speak

that's too funny. who knew ya'll would respond so quickly? what are you doing up anyway????

forgot to do my weights today, so i'm doing them now sitting in my chair in front of my computer. that means i'm limiting myself to a few.

SUNDAY
Warmup: 0 jumping jacks - can't jump in the chair, well shouldn't
Upper: 1 set, 12 reps, 10 lb weight - bicep curl, shoulder press, seated dumbell tricep extention. 0 modified pushups - again the whole chair thing

Can you repeat this prayer daily and just add my name to your list of people you pray this for!!:D

Speedy, I will definitely add you to the prayer list. haha

Oh Patty!!
My husband nicknamed us The Graces after watching us all dance together one night, he said we looked like the statue of The Three Graces only times 2 so we've been called that ever since.

M, you reminded me of a story. Three of us - Katie, Amy and I - used to go out drinking together. Mark (Katie's dear husb who planned the trip, well they weren't dating then tho) would go out with us too and we'd go to his house and play "trains" all night. His roommates were fuddy duddies and wanted to sleep. They thought we were too loud. They called us the "laughing hyena witches" (or b*tches). They also called us The Heathers, neither was very nice to say.

I like The Graces much better. I'm going to email them that now.....

Hey patty, thanks for stopping by my journal. I do believe this is my first time at yours. Congrats on the ticker movage, those last extra lbs seem to be the toughest for me.
