Cardio is fine for me, but I tend to feel the full effects of anything weight bearing for a day or so afterwards.

starting to feel better now, i suppose i shouldnt expect my body not to feel the effect of years of neglect followed by a lot of exercise ! lol :D Thanks for the reply! ps - just seen your chart in your signature - well done!!!! x
 
Good work and keep it coming!! If you don't feel hurt the next day after a work out then you didn't really work out. It is WORK. I know. But keep consistent and we will conquer the battle of the bulge!!
 
Well today was a good day again!

Wee bit shaky and whatnot after the exercise but my body will not be long adjusting to exercising more :D even though im shaky i feel great, seriously, this weight loss malarky is suiting me!

All i need to sort out is my hypoglycemia, its causing me to snack unhealthily when i genuinely dont want to. This upcoming weekend my aim is to sort out the next weeks snacks & meals. Something high in protein, low in fat & Sugar. Any ideas?

ps should mention im not weighing myself right now, the ea sports thingy weighs me at the end of each phase i'll update that once i know how much (if any of course) i have lost.

Milk is a good one, if you can drink it plain. Tuna if you can manage it (depends on the circumstances). I don't know, it's one I have problems with myself.
 
Thanks Amy, yeah its a rubbish condition to have, particularly when youre trying to loose weight lol my doc told me once i loose weight my blood sugars will return to normal but im finding it hard to get to that point!
Anyways, less of the defeated attitude from me lol im going to do this, one way or another im going to do this ive carried it around my entire life to the point ive been unable to cope, now enoughs enough.

I think hummus and celery sticks are pretty good. Hummus has different flavours so you won't get bored. If you don't like that "grainy" taste, instead of say chips, eat nuts. I feel that texture is what I crave. Like doritoes, I like the crunch and the chew, nuts do the same, and they have "better fats" and they keep you more full. So I've traded my love (weakness) of doritoes and changed it to peanuts, almonds, cashews, walnuts.

i too am the same, i love the crunch of things i hate the texture of some fruits which is why i dont eat them thats a great idea, thank you

So far so good today! i know its only 10am here in bonnie scotland but still!

So far ive had a bowl of fruit n fibre & a glass of water at 8am :D

In about an hour i'll eat a banana and maybe something else (the mornings are the worst for the hypoglycemia so i tend to eat frequent snacks in the morning)

i lost 2.2lbs in 4 days! go me!
On the negative side, i overdid the exercise and feel awful. Dizzy, lightheaded, shaky etc and its put me off doing it again - im so unfit! has anyone else had this?

Yeah, I've done that. Just take it easier next time. And make sure you eat immediately after you have a hard time of exercising, your body will respond the same (more or less) as if you were hypoglycaemic. I don't think it's being unfit, personally, just working too hard- anyone can do that.

Well i did a work out last night, and i didnt overdo it or feel majorly ill at the end! woohoo! so i may stick with that for a while until i get fitter and then step it up.

What i was going to ask, is if youve been overweight for a long time is it likely that i have artery narrowing? (im 24) sounds stupid, my grandfather has angina and im paranoid that i could have a heart condition from being overweight so long.
I calculated my saturated fat age and its at 25 which is good. I dont eat a lot of fatty foods, nor have i ate red meats for 15 years! so my sat fat is not too high. The only time it would have been high was when i was at high school and i would pig out on crisps and sweets like the other kids did.

Anyways, i lost 3lbs in 10 days so far. Need to keep going!!

I don't know anything about artery narrowing so I can't help or comment sorry. But I have read ur diary and thought is leave u a wee comment. I know how demotivating it is when u supposedly join a community for help support and motivation and find no one answers u. Seems to happen to me quite a lot...infact almost every question I've asked has went unanswered.
Anyway not to worry.
So how much weight have u lost so far? What exercise r u doing? I am struggling with keeping my diet under control at the moment and extremely lacking in motivation for exercising so some tips from u would b grand x
 
Nice work on the loss so far.

If you're worried about any heart problems it would be a good idea to see your gp, let them know about your weight loss plans and they should be able to give you some advice.

Keep motivated, you're going in the right direction!

Aye! im fae Scotland! Glad to see a fellow Scot here! your weight loss goal is very similar to mine although i doubt youre as heavy as i am lol
Well i'll be sure to go through your posts and answer what i can! Ive been doing EA Sports Active 2 for the wii and im knackered doing them. Im going to stick at it but im considering starting off doing small amounts and building up my fitness lol Whats your exercise like?

My diet is okay, its the weekend that kills it though, my friends are all 'ice cream, crisps, pizza & a dvd' kinda people which is great but so so tempting at times lol
