Ok.

Good day today! Worked out in the a.m. and had a good run around at soccer tonight. Shake for breakfast, poke bowl (no rice) for lunch, prawn linguini for dinner and a small Greek yoghurt a moment ago. Estimating 1900 calories.

Best bit: Came home and my lovely wife had cracked a bottle of wine. Tea was the easy choice for me which I’m enjoying now.

Hope everyone had a great sleep!

Alright! Crappy work day caused me to miss my afternoon workout. Best get used to it. Busy spring on the horizon!

Ate well. Three egg omelette for breakfast, 4 ounces of snapper and cooked veg at a restaurant for lunch and taco filling with kidney beans for a quick / cold dinner as I had to get three kids to my son’s soccer practice. Kids seemed to like the practice plan and I had a lot of fun!

Got my tea in front of me. Added a drop off honey for “shits and giggles” and looking forward to an early workout tomorrow!

Hope everyone sleeps/slept well!

Stuff happens. I missed mine yesterday, but manage to make it up this morning. Just flipped my rest day around is all. Glad your kids like the practice!

Well done, Cory! Good to get back on track, esp. with your busy itinerary!

Me too! Game day tomorrow and I'm more excited about coaching the kids than I am about playing in my own evening game.

Oh, and this strange, yellow, heat-giving orb just appeared in the sky above Vancouver. I believe it is what our ancestors called "THE SUN" - Been a wet and dark winter here :)

I love the Canadian sense of humour. We're having a heatwave, even in Tasmania, I'm playing golf today & the hot sun has disappeared behind a big black cloud & I am happy :D It seems only fair that you should share some of it :)

LOL!!!

I ran into a few vacationing retired Aussies up in Whistler this winter and they're gobbsmacked/disappointed with our cloudy winter weather. Travel agents down there must be pulling a fast one when selling such packages. The young Aussies who work in Whistler are too busy partying to notice the weather :)

We love Aussies, esp. when they're on tour!

& we love Canadians! My niece & her husband own a restaurant in BC & we must get over there to visit in the next couple of years.

Could’ve been worse...

Great workout! Best weigh-in yet! Shake for breakfast. Chicken and smoked salmon wrap for lunch and then ... meat and cheese antipasto platter and casarecce pasta with Italian sausage.

Kept portions down and no wine but definitely broke 2,000 cals for the day.

Get back at’er tomorrow.

Have a great sleep all!!!

Busy day for me!

Snuck in a great workout before son’s game - tough loss in a downpour. Fixed an ice maker and a bed (shocking). Played in my soccer game tonight and felt great, despite allowing two goals.

Diet really good except late pita dinner. Thinking 1,900 cals in total. Feeling pretty tired and sore. Took a few knocks during the game. Gonna crawl into bed and Rest my wounds :)

Yeah, I’m a sucker for those two little guys! Lov’em to death.

Not a bad day. Good morning workout and puttered around the house fixing stuff and mounting dismounting tvs. The ERG rowing machine is addictive but I think my form is sketchy so my back is a bit sore. Family went to our favourite sushi restaurant so I ate too much (2,500 for the day) but I’m not too fussed.

Sleep well everyone!

I will eat most things, but sushi is not something I've ever been able to get into. There's something about the texture of raw fish that is very off-putting to me.

If you have a Google for the muscles used rowing, the lower back muscles are not prime movers, but act in a secondary role. It would be good to know whether the ache is spinal/nerve or muscle. I would also think that playing goalie would require a stance bent forward at the hip a good portion of the time which also hits the lower back muscles. I haven't been coached in regard to rowing form, but did set up a camera for a few sessions and its pretty decent. Combined with an hour of racquetball, I'm feeling it a bit today but I'm quite sure it's only muscles as I haven't done anything to strain the spine. That and I've doubled up my Bird Dog exercise for the lower spine plus added a bit of rower time.
I've been working up my rower time gradually as my hands are too soft and prone to blistering which gets in the way of a good workout.
