You could try some meditation to help you concentrate. Just simple exercises where you try to block out all thoughts and feelings and take notice of your breathing. The concentration required is difficult, but it spills over into the rest of your life.
Also, I find that when I'm concentrating on weight loss, the other areas of my life don't get as much attention, so that could be what's happening!?
