I stick to a low carb not no carb....whole naturall, unprocessed foods. I tried the Atkins but I tried to stay on the induction phase because I thought I'd lose more weight. Needless to say it didn't last long since 20 carbs a day is unrealistic. Now all of my carbs come from mostly fuit which I eat at the begining of my day. I'll have a sliced apple, reduced fat string cheese, and a handful of almonds for breakfast.....a cup of strawberries for a snack....a big salad with spinach, mushrooms, peppers, cucumbers, eggs, and grilled chicken is lunch.....more almonds for snacking...dinner is a small steak fillet and a green veggie. I always have string cheese around. I too LOVE cheese. A lot of people I know have had great success on atkins, but just like anything else the weight will come back fast if you go back to old eating habits. The above meal plan is what I stick to Mon-Fri. I'm a little more laid back through the weekend and will have a deli sandwhich made on thin whole wheat flat bread and indulge in the higher carb fruits, such as, pineapple, banana, watermelon and such. On Sundays I'll have WHATEVER I want for lunch so I don't go insane. After years of struggling with my weight I've learned this: Somedays I'm going to fail ...and that's ok....it's not a reason to give up. Just keep going! I wish you luck!
