Anything Wrong with compound

first, i'm only looking for functional strength over aesthetics. So, is there anything wrong with ONLY doing compound lifts for building solid fully functional strength? Here is my routine

Mon, Wed, Fri
(not in any order)
Squat
Bench
Deadlift
bent over row (over and under grip)
incline bench
pull-ups
dips (weighted)
standing overhead press

Tues, Thurs and Sat or sun
mixed cardio Usually HIIT

i've been at this routine for about a month and a half and have noticed great improvements.
I'm just curious if its cool to keep going with this style just increasing weight as i go?
Any advice is welcome! Thanks in advance!
 
i think it might be a bit much.. bench press, inchline AND military press 3 times a week.. thats alot for the shoulders. and then even more, with dips!
and theres not enough upper back work to match it. One exercise per muscle group is enough, atleast to start with.

squats
rows
bench press

--

deadlift
military press
pullups

--

squats
row
bench press.

thats a very typical standard routine.
you could finish with maybe some ab work. Even though you got god compounds that work your core, its never a bad idea to have some propper ab movements at the end, like:
Planks
ab rollouts
renegade rows (these are good for athletic purpouses)
russian twists (these work the rotation strenght in your trunk, needed for sports that involve throwing, punching, etc. BE CAREFUL ABOUT FORM! dont twist the lower back, keep that stable, the upper back is what that should move.)

im not saying do all of them, pick one 2-3 times a week ;)

Yeah man, go for it. Isolation work is for the vain.
