Yes I am so close to my goal weight and I have gotten close many times, lol. I wished now that I had not cleaned up my diary so much. I don't remember just how much I weighed when I joined WLF. I maybe able to go back to "Weight yourself everyday club" and find out about what I weighed when I first joined. Because I think I deleted it on my diary, lol. But I do know I am doing much better this year than last year. Today I weigh 147.2.

The temperature was pretty hot here for a few days and I couldn't walk. Now I am down in my right leg and lower back and I also have a little stomach virus. Its not too health, but all I have wanted is fries with salt. I had a good meal yesterday evening. Today I only had a few homemade fries with (No Salt), salt substitute. But going to fix my dh and I a good meal for supper.

Argh, I think I got you confused with someone else when I said about the yohurt maker :eek: Sorry!

Your almost there girly :hurray:, and don't make light of it because you've been almost there a few times before, YOU ARE ALMOST THERE, and this time you are going to reach your goal :) Its only a few pounds, and these are the hardest to get off, but think of how great you'll feel when all that hard work pays off!

I am glad you stopped by, you always make me feel better.

My stomach cramped hard last night. I got up and drunk a bottle of water. I still feel a little sick this morning, but feel much better then I did. I think I should just stay on a liquid diet today: Jello, beef bouillon, and maybe potato soup this evening. My ds and df was sick with a sore throat last week and my db and his dw came back from vacation sick with infection. So I guess I had no choice in that matter, but I was bound to get sick, lol. I am walking better this morning too. I may take a little walk this evening around 8:00pm, it is not as hot at that time. I walked a mile with my cane Wednesday evening, so funny. It took me an hour to walk haft a mile and walked haft a mile back home, my little dog had time to sit down and eat grass, lol.

I am glad you like my quote, I truly believe we have choices in this life time concerning our walk of life.

I post my measurements for August, at the beginning of my diary.

We had Church services at my place yesterday. I thought I was going to fall asleep! I still felt tired and got sick at my stomach yesterday So far today I feel tired, but not sick at my stomach. I slept all evening and last night, lol.

Well I have been in the hospital from Tuesday about 2:30 am until 10:30 am today, August 11, 2011. I still don't know what is causing my problem! I walked about a mile on Tuesday. I was limping bad (I have a history of losing control of my legs and limping since about 2005). I was sick at my stomach and light headed too, when I got back home. It was nice out Tuesday and the wind was blowing, so I don't think it was the heat.

I lost complete control of being able to walk on my own. I had just turned off my computer and was headed for bed about 12:30 am. My left hand was going all over the place, sick at my stomach, couldn't get my words to come out right, out of breath, and fatigue. I was over exerted just being helped from my computer to my recliner (about 8 feet away). I still believe it is MS. What ever it is, it gets worse every time. They don't want me to walk by myself, lol.

They ran me through all kinds of test (MRI's and Scans). Same things that were found in 2005. WM disease has not progress since 2005 (thank goodness!!!), degenerative joint disease and bulging dist. Their diagnose upon release was degenerative joint disease, multiple sites.

I met a Neutralist who said she would find out the problem for me, but didn't come back to see me. I think she and the other doctor had problems and it could have been my fought. The Neutralist canceled the lower back test the other doctor ordered and had me moved to her area in the hospital. I was in a lot of pain in my legs, head, and lower back yesterday morning, so the doctor ordered the lower back MRI again and I was willing at that point to do the MRI.

They released me today with a slight limp, but I felt good. But now I am starting to feel a little sick at my stomach at times. I ate good while in the hospital. It's a shame I can't afford a made and a cook, it sure works well for me having people to wait on my beckon call lol.

I hope you get those pains sorted out :(. I know when I went walking, I pulled a nerve in my back, so annoying!

If you have any friends, or family, maybe try and convince them to be your walking partner?

My son said he would walk some with me and my husband said he would try walking too. I think I may have a mixture of things going on this time. I had a little episode this morning trying to do for myself. It may take awhile to get back to walking this time. I may have to use my walking DVDs to get my strength back. I did stretches Thursday and Friday and will try and do them today. They had a machine on my legs while I was in the hospital, that worked the muscles in my legs. I would love to own one of those!

Im so sorry to hear about your pains you poor thing!!:( My mom suffers from pains in her legs and it was just horrible to see. Her walking got very slow as a result from it, but she's after improving alot and now her walking speed has picked up again!!:) So there is all the hope for you!! Just keep thinking positive. I believe that sometimes positive thinking can fix any problem, no matter if its finance problems, health problems and personal problems!!

Thats nice that your son and husband will go walking with you, i hope you recover soon and are back in flying form!!

Does your mom have degenerative disease Or autoimmune disease? Tell your mom I understand and to keep moving.

I have been having problems since 2005. I was limping before and was getting down in my back a lot. I was working then and managed my pains. I haven't worked since 2005.

Thanks to a member WLF named "Top", he started a walking club and post about his grandpa walking everyday. I had been using my walking DVDs in the Winter and then started walking about February of this year out side.

As long as it didn't snow I would walk. This year I have had more episodes not walking good. What ever the problem is, it gets worse each episode. I loss complete control this time, but gained control back fast. I am weak and limp some, but I will make a come back this time!!

I just keep pushing (but I my have pushed to soon this time, lol). We had two very hot days 105 degrees and I couldn't take my walks. I should have used my DVDs, but I was lazy, lol. That is when I started limping this time and I walked anyways with my cane. I forced the walk this time, but should have waited.

Tell your mom to take care!

There is a machine they have in the hospital for people with leg pain and can't walk. It hurt at first, but helped the pain in my legs and helped me to get back to walking with my cane.

Tell your mom to not give up!
 
I have been eating three meals a day (started in the hospital). Not much exercise right now. I do stretches and I tried to do an exercise routine that I made up for me a few years back. The exercise moves my whole body without over doing exercise. I couldn't do the whole routine last night, but I tried.

Yesterday's meals

B..1 egg; 1/2 peach; 1 box of Special K cereal with 2 % milk; 1 cup coffee and 2 cookies.

L...Salad with dressing; 1/2 banana; 1/4 peach; 1 cup Chocolate pudding and 1 cup of 2% milk.

S...1 can chicken noodle soup (low sodium); 1 Sm bowl of Cheetos with Jalapenos; 1 Sm bowl watermelon; 1 cup of 2 % milk and 2 cookies.

I drink lots of water!

Today breakfast

1 egg with 1 roll; 1 sm box special K with milk; 1 sm cup of Cinn. applesauce and 1 coffee.

Lunch....my husband made me a salad for lunch; I will have 1 fruit and 1 cup of milk. I am having another cup of coffee.

Oh no, I was so sad to hear that you were in hospital. I am really relived that its improved, and you can now walk, even if you have got a limp. It must be so hard having your body put limits on you, specially when you are treating it so well with the food your eating and your exercise xxxxhugsxxxx

Well this episode has really made me think!!

I am trying my best to stick with eating three meals a day and nothing after the last meal, except for water and maybe a little lemonade in the water. I plan to get back to walking 2 miles a day, lol. I am doing stretches and some lite exercises I made up. I did some ab rolls last night and my son has been walking to the end of the drive way with me (150 feet from our trailer).

You take care friend and I will try to come by and visit you soon. I go to the bedroom at night and lay on the the couch in the day, lol. I did sit on the porch a few minutes today.

Yesterday evening I helped my dh & ds fix supper, lol.

I fixed rice and chicken with the assistance of my dear family. My dh fixed mashed potatoes, and my ds put stir fry vegetables in the electric skillet. I should have let Home Health come in, but I don't want to give up too soon, lol.

Sunday Supper...1/2 cup chicken and rice; 1/2 cup mashed potatoes; 1/2 stir fry veggies; 1 cup of chocolate pudding; 1 cup of 2% milk; 2 cookies; watermelon.

My ds had breakfast fixed when I got up this morning.

1 stir fried egg; coffee; 1 pc toast; peaches & 1/2 banana; S K cereal with milk :)
 
Hey there Anna! I'm glad to see that you (among many of my old chums) are still around. I'm so proud of what you've accomplished so far, and hope you dont have any more medical mishaps in the future.
