AnnaGail's Weight Loss Diary

Hi Soccerrox, nice to meet you too!

I don't really have a favorite artist, but had to read about them. I get vision of life like things in my head, but have never been able to get them down on paper. I would probable be a "Great" artist if I could! lol. I kinda like those painting where you are not sure you are looking at a woman or a lamp, a man's head or many people.

My brother and his son loves to deer hunt and his son makes the deer jerky (hot). Have you heard of ghost pepper? Very hot, and they tried to raise some this pass summer to put in the deer jerky. I love hot peppers in my food too, but it doesn't like me. Ghost pepper gives food a good taste. I made some Chile a few weeks before Thanksgiving and I put a whole ghost pepper in my Chile, hum!

Hi anna.b, I have made bed dolls before, I had for gotten about them. My sister is trying to get me interested in crocheting again. We get into those projects that are hard to do, and all we accomplish is pulling our yarn out roll after roll, heee. I could have my afghan haft crocheted if I didn't make so many mistakes and have to pull my yarn out. I tried to post a picture of the baby dress I crocheted, but I couldn't get it to show up. My sister copied it from her daughters wall on facebook. I will take a picture of the afghan I crocheted last year and the one I started this year and put them in an album, so you can look at them. I had no problem with scanning my pictures and posting them.

I will be staying all night with my sister this Monday coming. I plan to stay only one night, and drive her to the hospital on Tuesday to have some test done. They are putting her to sleep, so she needs someone to drive her back home after the test. I may go to Walmarts while I am out and buy more yarn to finish my Afghan. It cost so much anymore to crochet. I have spent $20 on this Afghan so far and not even 1/2 way finished. And this Afghan is going to be heavy. I got the design out of a book from the library, but I used different colors and renamed it (over the rain bow). Do you have a fire place? We have one, but never used it.

It's so nice when you're crocheting (or knitting) in winter and have that heavy warm wool in your lap.

Yes we have a fire. THe new (old) house that we are trying to buy has a big log burner and also a coal range in the kitchen. We're hoping to do alot more growing our own food etc. I will have to keep working forever to afford the lifestyle though!

Good luck for your sister :)

Thank you, I hate to leave my DS & DH at home, but she needs help. I am going to wait until late tomorrow even and then leave to go to her house, she lives about 45 minutes away from me and it will take about 45 to an hour to get to the hospital. If you can crochet an Afghan, make one to fit your bed, it keeps the warmth in. I didn't know that until last year.

With having more land, you could grow vegetables to sale...corn, beans, watermelon. People with a lot of land around this part of the country make money during the summer selling their home grown foods. Strawberries and raspberries sale good around here, and people pay good to pick their own. I hope you get your house sounds nice!

Hey Anna! I know what you mean about those paintings...not sure what they're called though! I've seen one where it looks like a lamp or a person's profile...up to you to decide! That's cool about the jerky...haven't heard of ghost pepper! Sounds HOT! Hope you enjoyed the holidays! Good luck in the New Year!

Well I am back and tired from driving so much and I gained a little of my weigh back. My sister's test came out good!

My Ghost pepper was not that hot to me, but had a good taste in chili. The plant that lived, the peppers on it didn't get fully ripe.

Back to exercises: walked two miles with L. Sansone DVD, I did the warm up and cool down. I made pancakes today. No egg, just water and flour, and I put 2 packs of Splenda and some blackberries & blueberries in the mix. Made two pancakes and I had 1 piece fried bologna (just put it in the pan and warmed it to get brown), 1/4 cup lite syrup... It was good! (12 points) Nine points left. 2 coffees, one 20oz water. snack 1cup raw veggies.

No more points for to day!

20oz water, 1 coffee, Kale, veggies, spaghetti/sauce, 2 pieces of toast.

B....1/2 cup soy milk with 1/4 cup Special K cereal (Choc. Delight)

2 coffees and 1 20oz water.

L....Ramen Noodles/W veggies, 1 can diet pepsi

1 tablespoon cod liver oil. 1 point, 9 points left.

Going to do some exercise or maybe just clean house today (it really needs it, lol).

I am not hungry at all after eating those Ramen noodles (lots of sodium). I could start, leaving out the pack of season that comes with the Ramen noodles and use the no salt and put my own spice in them. I may try that next time (I love Ramen Noodles & veggies together)!

I drunk 20oz of water again and now drinking the rest of my pepsi. I worked out with Denise Austin (Get Fit Fast: Legs & Buns) VHS type. That was hard for me to do this time! Approx. 42 minutes. Still have 9 points left for supper. Not sure what I will have.

I did good yesterday, for my last meal I ate left over Spaghetti, fixed 2 slices of toast/butter, 1/3 cup of cottage cheese/1/4 cup berries, and 1 cup mixed greens. I had 1 point left over and I ate 2 slices of apple before going to bed. I didn't have a lost this morning, but did good. I was able to clean house a little and will give it another try this morning. I want to walk with L. Sansone today, not sure if I will. 60oz water.

Well today it is snowing out again, my porch has a little covering of snow.

Today I had a banana and 1 pack of fiber wafers, 2 coffee, 1 water. I may have a Yoplait yogurt for lunch (not real hungry today). I made a vegetable salad for supper: 2 tbs of coleslaw dressing to a cup of vegetables. I put onion, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and some lettuces. Coleslaw dressing makes the salad taste good. I can have one cup for 3 points. I am fixing steak or chicken tonight, not sure yet. I have been buying Walmart's rib-eye steaks 6 in a box makes two meals for my family.

I have 16 point left for today.

My eating plan went down the drain!! lol

I didn't get to fix my steak and baked potato. I had 16 point left I ate a nectarine, a bologna sandwich w-cheese, 1/2 cup of veggie salad, pancakes, and later fixed popcorn. I had 3 points left.

The only exercise I got was very little house cleaning and 300 crunches with my ab machine, (I need a new one). I am losing slowly, but losing and that is ok. As long as I move, I will eventually get there!! I when out with DH last night to put gas in the truck. If he didn't asked me to get out now and then I would just hibernate like a bear....heee.

We have about 3 inches of snow here on the hill. The roads are all iced up again. I am trying to make myself go sweep off my porch and feed my birds. Some come to my front window bagging for food. I keep the curtains pulled back so I can get some sunshine and see whats going on outside. Its beautiful up here on the hill when it snows and I love watching the birds. A black spectacled bird came to my window yesterday after all the food was gone. Those a lone with the black birds; I have been trying to get rid of. Because they don't know when to quit eating and share with the other birds. But now I am feeling sorry for them. lol. I will finish my second cup of coffee and get to work.

I ate 1 cup of Yoplait yogurt 2 points. I have 20 points left. If I don't get to fix that steak this even we will order subs (11 points) I could even have a helping of chips. If I do this it will be within my points!! I plan to have some beef jerky and I will still have 19 points left. I could have another yogurt and a cup of mix greens and still have 18 points. I also have some veggie salad left. We'll see!

Have to exercise!:waving:

Hey Anna

Sounds like those points are working for you! Well done.

The new property we are hoping to move to has about 200 hazelnut trees. So we hope to eventually be able to sell some hazelnuts. We will definately have a big vege garden, and there is already a small orchard. We will also have chickens and maybe a couple of pigs. We have done some of this before on a smaller scale (not the pigs though!).

We're lucky that we have good jobs so we don't need to make money out of the land immediately (it'd be nice to make some in the future though).

The snow sounds nice, it'd put me off exercising though :)

anna

300 crunches is awesome! Do you use one of those ab roller dealies? I've been just lying on my bed and hooking my feet under the bed head lol.
Your snowy hill sounds so lovely!

LOL Jess. I hope you do get to see some real snow someday :)
AnnaGail--8.2 measly pounds left? I hope you still stick around after you're finished...

Yes the points has always worked for me! But my weight goes up and down a lot until I drop to the next number. I will jump and shout when I make it to 152! But that weight is in my birthday suit. I need to get down to 150 with clothes and shoes. So I may change my goal to 135. My exercising is all inside right now anyways, so rain or snow I exercise.

My husband likes hazelnuts. My mom and dad raised chickens and pigs when I was growing up. Yes it is good that both you and your DH have a good job, but raising stuff to sale could be an option if you would like to quit work later.

Hi healthyjess,

Well I am doing 600 crunches now, just started to day. Yes I do them on an ab roller. I did 200 frontwards and 200 on each side with my knees pulled up.
It was very hard for me to do the last 100. I had to think of something else to get them done. I used to do 1300 when I was much younger, and went to the gym. My DS would do 3000! lol Well hooking your feet under the headboard to do crunches, will work! In 2005 I had to retire from work, couldn't hardly walk at times. I was told to force my exercises. I would lie flat in the bed and do my stretches. That is when I made up my own exercise routine. I still lose control of my feet and legs sometimes, usually in the month of August, but I just start over!

I will try to learn to work my new camera my DH got me for Christmas. So I can take a picture of the snow to show you. We are suppose to get some more Tuesday. The avatar I have now is a picture I took of a lake near by.

Hi Daybehavior, Yes I will be sticking around, I can't leave my friends. Besides it is hard to keep the weight off!

Hello Anna :waving:
hoping you do well at the challenge today! seems like have been doing good so far on your weight loss...

Anton
