Angela's Diary

Oh, sure. Just be careful with it. They will pull it out at any time. If your 9 year old is anything like my 8 year old, she'll know just when to use it to her biggest advantage and his biggest embarrassment. Aren't kids great?

Oh, yes. And it sounds like we each have half of a set of twins. :D

Just raising them to survive in a cruel world. As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child, but it takes a Viking to raze a village.

Nice perspective! *Calls to Brian* Hey, come write this down! Here's another good one for your training session! :p

My little guy has the destruction thing down, but he's just too sensitive to be a real terror. God, love him.

- is anyone actually getting that reference or am I just laughing to myself?-

Wow, the middle of the week already. Time flies, doesn't it? We are creeping ever closer to the big day and I am nowhere near where I want to be. I really need to step up my game. I have my wedding gown now and it fits really well. If I do not lose any more I will not need alterations. I'm hoping I do lose, though. I'd gladly pay for alterations for a smaller dress. It's pretty, though. I plan to have it preserved and keep it for whichever one of my girls wants it later. They have the cutest little dresses to wear. I can't wait to see them all dolled up. :D

I was supposed to have spaghetti bolognese last night but opted for creamy cheese penne with garlic. OMG it was good. It was supposed to make 4 servings but there was actually enough left over for me to bring with me to work for lunch today. No worries - it's all core. I also tried Trops' cajun sweet potatoes and they were delish. I swear, it is a lot easier staying on track when you have something new to eat. The same old boring stuff pushes me to seek food that is not-so-good for me. I'll keep that in mind. I did suffer through the evening munchies last night but I managed to get by without eating anything non-core. I so badly wanted chocolate (gotta love pre-TOM) but I opted for watermelon instead. Lol, by summer's end I may be real tired of watermelon and grapes.

Hope everyone has a marvelous day today. :coolgleamA:

Breakfast: Two egg omelet with diced veggies, an orange, a glass of milk
Snack: Watermelon
Lunch: Creamy cheese garlic penne, cajun sweet taters, and an apple
Snack: Grapes
Dinner: Italian chicken, corn on the cob, steamed asparagus.

I got to work early this morning to get a head start on some things. End of the month is upon us and I need to spend come quality time with my time sheets. I did a pre-weigh this morning (WI day is tomorrow) and I was down. Yay! I have been faithful to the Core program since starting it Monday and I feel good. I feel in control. I feel healthy. Mike has been eating healthy as well and he remarked yesterday that he has had more energy all week. Funny how processed crap makes you sluggish and you never realize it until you stop eating it. I like the way I feel on Core. I like that I don't have to count Points any more. As of tomorrow I have ten weeks to hit my wedding goal: Onederland! :D I charted goal weights on a calendar (alternating between 2 and 3 lbs per week) so that I can look at it and stay focused on what I need to do.

Hope everyone has a great Thursday! :D

Breakfast: Oatmeal (w/ Splenda and cinnamon), banana
Snack: Grapes
Lunch: Chicken and vegetable soup, strawberries
Snack: Raw baby carrots
Dinner: Spaghetti bolognese, cucumber/tomato salad
Dessert: Watermelon

Nice going, Angela. I think that Core has some real benefits. Cutting out processed foods really has that affect on a lot of people. My mother used it and cut a lot of weight. Then she switched to points and maintained. She's been doing it for years so it's second nature for her. (she's also old, as I keep reminding her)

By the way, love the new avitar. It looks like a paparazzi shot.

I never would have believed what a difference it would make. I like it. :D And *wags finger* stop calling your mother old. You'll hear that one day from your own offspring, you know. Karma, baby, Karma! :p

Really? Thanks! :) Now I feel fancy. :D

Sorry, I like the other avatar better... Can see your face better in it, and you have such a gorgeous face! :)

Thanks. :blush5: Honestly, I wasn't sure whether or not to use this one. It's not one of my favorite pics, but I was tired of the other one. :) I had another I could've used but I wasn't wearing any make-up - scary! lol

My pleasure.

You remind me of someone in that AVI...

I can't put my finger on who though.
