Haha yea, im pretty happy I have managed to withstand my soda cravings. Having plenty of accessable water nearby has helped tremendously. I went from literally 4-6 sodas per day (ack) to zero, zilch, nada. I know my body is happy with me. It just goes to show you that you CAN accomplish anything you put your mind to.

Headed to the gym last night after BL with the full intention of doing my chest str training. Instead, spent the next hour playing racquetball. It was a LOT of fun, and I think I found a new sport I'm going to try and tie in with my regular cardio.

Weigh in this morning shows 303.00. I know ive been floating around this range, but im confident I will only go down from here.

Nice! Racquetball sounds like a fun way to change things up. My new place is at the top of a serious hill, almost a quarter mile long and nearly a 45 degree angle. Great views though. I'm always sure to walk that route when headed to the gym. And I'm all kinds of sore. Anything to use new muscles is a welcome addition.

Keep doin' what you're doin' and you'll be outta the 300 club soon enough!

Woo! Racquetball kicks my butt! I haven't played in years but even when I was thin and in shape, it kicked my a$$! Kudos to you for taking it up as your cardio!

Thanks belly and Veronica for coming by. Always appreciate the support/cheerleading :p

Food: check
Water: check
Back/chest: check check
Cardio: meeeeh

Went to the gym for 90 mins last night, and made the mistake of hitching a ride with a friend who wanted to go too. Did a GREAT cycle of machines, and really pushed myself on the bench press. Being a heavy guy most of my life, I realized that my upper body is dramatically weaker than my lower body. I'm glad I found that out now instead of when I hit my eventual goal, so I have a little more time to "even out". :D Jumped on a treadmill for 30 mins. Wasn't feeling the burn, so I pushed up the elevation really high (7%) and walked 4 mph. Still, I wasn't feeling fatigued at all, even though I was sweating all over the place. I think I'll try the elip or recumbent tonight, because I ran out of time before I really "felt" like I worked out. Had to bail out early, because my ride was leaving.

Oh the plus side (sort of) I woke up today and totally FELT the effects of lifting. Not nearly as severe as my DOMS last week, just a friendly reminder than im rebuilding muscle :D

Weighed in this morning at 302.6 so thats nice.

Currently in TWO club challenges, so I think thats gonna keep me pretty honest these next few weeks :D

yayayaya more racquetball yesterday. I got my butt kicked around both times, but my game is getting more competitive. Ive discovered the key to that game isn't really based on strength, but the ability to JUST KEEP MOVING.

Aside from that, I did my arms/shoulders last night. I think I inadvertantly overworked my biceps both nights since I did lat pull downs. I felt it. The end result was just going a little lower on the bicep weight. Everything else went well. Almost finished my free weight preacher curls set, but the 3rd set I got halfway and my arms. just. stopped.

haha. maybe next week.

Water was good, food was good. Looking forward to powering through this weekend, got a month end goal to hit!

oh and..

SW352.4
CW301.6
GW220.0

Over that 50 pound mark. :auto: :D

Had a nice weekend, but it has been raining like CRAZY here. In Phoenix, AZ. (YA, THE DESERT ONE) Anyways, just doing my thang with the food and water. Missed the gym both sat and sun, but I had gone monday - friday so at that point it was just extra credit :p Weighed in saturday morning at 298.8 Was giddy about finally seeing a 2 in there. Ended up eating my face off saturday night, which I havent done in months haha. Had Chipotle for lunch, which is my usual weekend cheat. But then later had a sub for dinner, and a roll of sushi at a sushi bar downtown. All in all, it isnt terrible, but its still a lot more that I usually eat. Result is that I upset the inaccurate scale gods and am back just cresting 300 again, but by the end of this week itll be a memory :D :D

Other than that, I took my official 300 picture. I'm really happy that I started taking these pictures every 10lbs lost, because even though its only 5 pics atm, the difference is readily apparent in the collage. Still getting used to looking at the mirror and smiling because of how far I have come. I am REALLY excited to keep losing, because my self-image keeps getting better and better.

LETS ALL HAVE A POWER WEEK TO END JAN ON A HIGH (OR LOW :D) NOTE!

Topic for today:Eggs!

I REALLY like eggs. Theyre a nice source of protein, and they last forever. I was bumming around a few days ago and I came up on an article about the nutritional value of raw eggs vs cooked eggs (cooked eggs are much better btw(and taste better :D)) so I decided to hardboil a large crate of them for quick snacks. After only a few days, I know its something I'll incorporate into my diet long term. :D

LETS SEE. Biggest loser is on tonight! LETS GO BROWN!

Normal, run-of-the-mill, hum-drum day yesterday. Intended to go the gym around 7:45, but left at 9:15 because I got stuck watching 24 (I'm becoming addicted to network television :O ). Got a good arms/shoulders workout in. Finished 3 sets of preacher curls (barely haha) that I could NOT do last week, so I am satisfied with that progress. Jumped on the treadmill and pushed myself for 25 mins. Got my HR up between 140-150 the entire time. Would have liked to do a little more, but I closed the gym.

I tivo-ed BL tonight, so I can do my normal workout and just watch it after I get home (Commercial free!)

Came to a realization this week. Even though I weigh myself everyday (I know, I know), its amazing how fickle the scale gods can be. A week ago I was 304, and today I am 298. I didn't have a 6 pound week, not even close, but the way my water retention has been totally skews results. Then again, its nice to finally be out of the 300 club. :D

Thank you Addie! You've been so awesome helping me along the way. It really is much appreciated :D :D

What a boring day yesterday! On monday night I stayed up way way WAY too late playing a video game. I used to pull all-nighters a lot in college (which Im sure is a factor of how I got to be where I am) so I didnt think it would affect me all that much.

Well, yesterday I intended to gym after I got home and watch BL right after, but due to my elite time management skills, I ended up coming home and crashing into my bed. Hard. Slept through the entire evening into the early morning. Ended up watching the BL episode in the early morning, around 2:30 (ty tivo) and have been up since. Needless to say, I didnt get to the gym, but tonights focus is getting bed at a normal time and getting my sleep schedule back on track.

So, not much to report....yea.

Morning weigh in showed about the same. 297.6

Andy, stop playin' like you're in college. ;)

Just wanted to congratulate you on quitting the 300 club!! The 200 club is a more exclusive, sexier club...or so I hear. ;)

Hi Andy,

Thanks for stopping by my diary :) sorry I haven't looked in on yours in a while, my new job has left me with very little free time and every day I log on and only seem to get round to leaving a few people comments!! But yeh... thought I'd see how you were doing. :)

Never mind about missing the gym - life gets in the way sometimes!!!! It's good you're trying to get your sleeping pattern back on track.

Have a good day tomorrow x

So Andy, are you going to post some before and during pics now that you've broken past the 300 barrier? :D

Funny, I think I said this to Cord a long while ago, when 300 seemed like it was REALLY far away. So yea, I think I will post those later this evening when I get home.

Yesterday was a busy busy day! Even though we have had spotty showers here are there, I managed to pick a good time and go on my walk outside. A little chilly, but it was fine. An easy way to walk off the lunch and collect thoughts :p After work, I had to get the oil changed, that took about an hour (no idea why), then I HAD HAD to go get grocerys, otherwise I would have had a balanced dinner of hot sauce and....boiled eggs? Nty. OH YEA, I also purchased an all purpose steamer in an attempt to get more veggies in with dinner. Im optimistic. Although I did realize in the checkout line I had walked right by the produce. (insert facepalm smiley)

Anyways, got home late, then had to actually prepare dinner :nopity: An hour later (8:45ish?) Im finally sitting down to eat. Given my freakishly long day, (due to getting up at 2AM (see prev post)) at this point im drained, so I collapse in bed at 10:15. BUT at least my sleep is back on schedule.

Gonna finish out the week AND weekend with gym visits.

297.2 this morning.

Breaking below 300 must feel awesome!

Can't wait to see those pics!

Cord - Thanks for stopping by! Its great to see you around these parts again :D

Had a good day yesterday. Water/food were where I wanted them to be. I used my veggie steamer for the first time last evening, and it turned out VERY nice. Im excited to start using that a lot more! Today I managed to put on my jeans in a hurry, and slip them on while they were already buttoned. Had to tighten them up with a belt in fact. Keep in mind that I purchased these jeans in early december, and I recall buying them snug so I could "grow into them". Hooray for small, expensive victories :p

Did a little self evaluation and read back over the last few months, and its interesting to note how much ive ramped up my efforts these past 2 months. I feel like my waistline has shrunk a LOT more in porportion to my abdominal area. I guess this may be because I can measure my waistline, but I rarely measure across the navel. Well, they took some measurements when I joined that new gym at the beginning of jan, so in the next few weeks ill have some raw measurements to compare to.

Weighed in this morning at 296.2

Happy weekend people :D

It's weigh-in day!!

I lost 5.2lbs this week!! Haha, maybe we should just take turns having 5lb+ losses each week ;)

Anyway, I know we have to lose big numbers to really kick butt in the contest, but I'll be ecstatic if we can stay in the top 5 each week ... I think it's a good goal!! I know it's a contest, but I also know that if either of us was losing 8-10lbs. every week, I'd probably get a little worried that it might be too fast. :)

Just wanted to tell ya, you're the best partner EVAR!!!

GO ORANGE! (orange is my favorite color by the way, how perfect!)

WOW ADDIE WOW.

I am REALLY happy youre my partner in this thing too. 5.2lbs in a week is GREAT :D

You're CONSTANTLY inspiring me to kick it up into HIGH GEAR! Thanks for the motivation! :hooray:

I had a pretty medicore week last week, I'm not proud to say. Only made it to the gym 3 days last week? The good news is that I ate at below maintenance everyday except sunday, when I went home for dinner on Sunday. Man, my mom can COOK. Anyways, started strong this week, and I plan to keep the momentum rolling :D
