Andie's Journey (smileyfreckle5)

Day 70

Feel like I am losing a little bit of motivation so I'm going to try and come on here every day for the next 15 days and answer the questions I found in someone else's blog each day, one question a day. If I can stick to my diet and exercise for the 15 days I should be able to see a bit more difference in the scales/way I am feeling and be back into the swing of it...plus be a bit closer to my goal! I have been sworn off alcohol since the 5th November which hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be haha, but my friends' wedding is on the 18th February and I hope to be able to drink again by then. I need to get under 66kgs (145.5 pounds) to be allowed to drink again (one of my "rewards" :cheers2:) which is another 10 pounds but with 5 weeks to go, I should be able to just make it in time if I am disciplined enough...hence the questions!

Oh, sorry to hear the motivation is slipping hun!

That happens to me too but just ask yourself would I rather love chocolate for 10 minutes, or my body for 10 years longer, because you have to remember, weight loss doesn't just mean a body your happy in but also a healthier, longer life meaning you can love your figure that much longer

By the way, great job on the alcohol ban :hurray: and I'm going to be checking in regularly to be sure your keeping to 15 days online and to help you reach your 66kg goal for the wedding! BTW, I know you can do it !!

Haha thank you! I feel knowing that someone is holding you accountable does definitely help! You sound like you are keeping on top of it too ;)

Day 71,

I think the motivation that has been lacking finally took a turn for the better today! A work colleague that I hadn't seen since the 23rd of December got back to work today and couldn't stop saying how good I looked. As I think I've only lost about a kg since then, I have just been assuming that I hadn't got any further with my journey but maybe my body shape has changed a little bit. Either way, it feels like it has given me a kickstart to try and get under 70 kgs by the end of Sunday (the 22nd) which has been a goal for a while. At that point it will be a month until uni starts again and I was to be under 66kg (145.5 pounds) by then so I need to get past this mental block that is 70 kgs! Maybe I should think about it in pounds...getting below 154 pounds doesn't sound as scary!

Anyways, todays question...

2.If you were at an ideal weight now, what would that weight be?

I don't have a specific weight in mind for my goal, I want to find out what my healthy weight should be for my body size so in the future I know what to aim for if I get off track. I know it will be somewhere between 59 kgs (130 pounds) and 64 kgs (141 pounds) and I figure at around that point I will plateau and it will be a big struggle to lose any more weight. I have always enjoyed my sports and the gym so I am going to take into account that I might put a bit more weight on in muscle after I finish this diet and start exercising more. I haven't been in the 60's since around the end of 2007/beginning of 2008 so the last part of this journey is going to be very exciting!

Hope you are all having a great day!

Andie xx

Woohoo!

Love those kinds of moments, Andie! Sometimes we don't notice the changes because we see ourselves every day in the mirror and it's so gradual, but taking periodic pictures along with third party comments can really make you feel and see the changes!

Awesome! I know you'll hit your goal, whether you think of it in kg or lb, hehe

Hope everything else is well with you!

Time is just flying. Wow, has it really been that long since an update? :(

Hope you're doing well, Andie! :)
